Ha, love how up & down the country you get lots of different trains in lots of different liveries. Hit Kent & HS1, same old rubbish, back & forth all day.
nice horns and nice lights on east midlands at 09:40 and nice javelins I sore those today at Wednesday 2nd May 2012 and Eurostars too and super fast trains too!
Pretendolino is what spotters call the mk3 and DVT set, painted in the new Virgin livery (the colour of pendolinos) so we call it the pretendolino, because it acts in the place of pendolino's! :) haha
if you use earphones and have your volume about half way the voyagers , Great Eastern trains , MTU hst's s and Eurostars sound nice I use earphones all the time while watching train video's
1:05 is an awesome clip! That horn was perfectly timed with the announcement and it sounded nice too; the high tone was reminiscent of a steam loco whistle, lol!
Some excellent camerawork there - congratulations! I particularly enjoyed the shots taken during the snowy weather. Excellent panning too - it makes a real difference to see the train approach and then disappear into the distance. I was particularly struck with the HS1 shots - to quote an often used (and mis-used) term - they were awesome! Thanks for an enjoyable 12 minutes or so. Rob.
The Caledonian sleeper is never a set number of coaches. Whoever told you its always 16 is wrong. The amount of coaches depends on the amount of demand for the service at the time. The maximum number of MK3 sleeper coaches being 18. This doesn't include the MK2f's which are randomly added and removed dureing the service. Its entirely possible for the train, dureing a very busy night, to be 24 coaches long at some stages of the trip. Oh and that eurostar coaches are shorter than BR MK2f's
btw the 350 (green) was only a 100mph unit whereas the 390 (red) is a 140mph capable unit limited to 125mph line speed. since this video (in 2012) the 350/1 subclass was modified to 110mph and the subsequently built 350/3 and 350/4 subclasses were built as 110mph from new. the 350/2s remain 100mph
Great selection:) i like the class 90s with mk3s - i see them regulary on great eastern ml at ingatestone or shenfield and class 90s with containers for ipswich
Do you see many deutch bahn diesel trains about in the uk. I swear i saw one in westbury station a few months back. I have seen a few of them in munich station when i was there used for shutting or goods trains.
that caledonar sleeper train was so long there was about 16 cars and 1 locomotive but why was there a red light at the front and no lights at the back.Oh! and that train passed a train on the other side going his way!
I once saw a MMT up here in Chester-le-street near Newcastle on the east coast Mainline it was quite confusing and has anyone else seen the 007 east coast train??
I wonder how much more energy is required to propel the flat-fronted trains at speed? Or does the sheer weight/inertia overcome the issue of aerodynamics?
kinda, GWR was the original name before British Rail. The current trend is the re-use of the original names like SWR, LNWR, LNER etc whereas when this video was filmed it was all about the corporate names e.g. First
the problem with this video isn't over use of the zoom feature of your camcorder. the real problem is the video shows ringo pretending to play the drums , yet George and Paul are quite clearly plugged into amplifiers (though I doubt the socket was even switched on). to cap it all, John Lennon never learnt to play the harp, he had to rely on buddy holly for that.
Fantastic to see the trains at speed
1:11, wow, amazing 2 tone
This my favourite vid of them all so far. Because I like trains and I like snow and here I get both! I am a happy girl!!
When you see a freight train going that fast you know that technology here is much more advanced than anywhere you’ve ever see before.
Hey jay town I watch you,
Nope their just powered by diesel
My toddler loves your videos. Thankyou for providing me with peace and quiet whilst he watches, transfixed!
Who is here a decade later?
I've watched them all and I'm reliving memories
@@theblobmaster332 me too, I could watch this all day ahaha

Cool compilation of fast freight and passenger trains. Thumbs up! :)
Greetings

That snow just goes everywhere!!!
Taking some shots from Slough!...I live like 200 meters from where you were filming lol
Very swift ! , In india there are only a few trains that run on 70-90miles an hour. Each train is atleast a kilometre long :D
It's nice to see even in these modern times that the DVTs and HSTs are still running... Maybe we just can't afford new rolling stock
hehe careful you don't stand too close dude :) nice vid
Enjoyed the snow clips
Love the Pendolino leaning at 01:27
thanks for the great train videos.
Greet stuff, I’ve just started my own channel having been inspired by yours and others content ❤
On the GWR route I think the best place to spot is didcot because you get steam trains and hardly anything stops there
Great selection:) i like the class 90s with mk3s - i see them regulary on great eastern ml at ingatestone or shenfield and class 90s with containers for ipswich
Like the snow vids. Thanks
10:57 most beautiful train in the world

Very nice...
3:38 OMG THERE IS A EAST MIDLANDS ON THE LOOSE
I LIKE TRAINS
2:22 Don’t ask me how that train manages to go from London - Scotland within 11 hours at that speed.
I believe because it hits very slow areas on the northern end
1:10 my favorite moment
those trains sure go fast past the stations.and you could get blown of your feet if you are not careful.
john fontana that is why you have to stand behind the yellow line. There is a real danger of being sucked off the platform.
i did sa the train of Virgin near too ikea when i go far and i did saw one angila trains too and a train on 9:12 too!
that caledonar sleeper train was so long there was about 16 cars and 1 locomotive but why was there a red light at the front and no lights at the back.Oh! and that train passed a train on the other side going his way!

At 2:35 what is the Southern class 377 doing on Platform 5 instead of platform 2? Was a London Midland train already on platform 2?

5:27 Train_PlaneHub predicted the future (GWR is actually Great Western Railway)
kinda, GWR was the original name before British Rail. The current trend is the re-use of the original names like SWR, LNWR, LNER etc whereas when this video was filmed it was all about the corporate names e.g. First
