Lakewood Ranch is all the buzz and all the hype right now, everyone’s talking about it: it’s the number one master-planned community in all of the United States. So in this video we’re going to give you a one stop shop… by the end of the video you should know everything you need to know about Lakewood Ranch to help you make your decision, and this is how we’re gonna do it.
The Lakewood Ranch information center publishes this map once a year, and this is the brand new 2022 map showing all the new villages. We have all the new Waterside villages on the bottom in Sarasota County, we’ve got all the northeast villages listed. Each one of these neighborhoods has a unique flair, a unique feeling. My wife and I, Courtney, we did it ourselves. We moved from Connecticut down here and we didn’t have all this information we kind of figured it out on our own
You don’t have to figure it out on your own!
One by one we’re going to explore all the villages. We will summarize all the most important features of each like the location, it’s proximity to schools, is it close to banks, where would you go grocery shopping, what are the HOA fees, what does it include, which builders built in each community? We will talk about the style, the type of home, what the vegetation looks like, what the streets look like. We’re going to give you a firsthand perspective view of each of these neighborhoods.

How about movie theatres and things to do outside of Lakewood ranch
We have a movie theater right in town on Main Street, along with a mini golf course. Sarasota is 20 minutes away with tons of theaters, culture, dining, etc, as well as adventure parks nearby and festivals. Tampa is about 40 minutes away for all major sporting events and even more to do. You certainly can't get bored in this area! :)

How far is Lakewood Ranch from the beach? What’s the name of the nearest beach? Thanks!
Hi Maryjoe, Most parts of Lakewood Ranch are 35-40 minutes to Gulf coast beaches. Depending on where you are, Lido Key Beach might be closest, Siesta Key is only a little further, and Anna Maria Island is the closest for the northern villages in Lakewood Ranch.
