Been in Lakewood Ranch for 24 years.had my house built here. Things have changed a lot use to be cow pasture across the road but still love it here . Coming from Atlanta traffic doesn't bother me at all.
Just beware when purchasing property here. Construction can be pretty shoddy. You are going to pay way too much for a Home Depot house. There is also no more season for snowbirds. Traffic is terrible all year around. Another thing in Lakewood Ranch is that our schools are packed to the gills.

Exactly, it's not that bad once you know how to avoid I75 at certain times during season

They should expand or build more schools
Crappy houses and condos are the FL norm now and has been for 40 years.
I was in Lakewood Ranch last summer for two months good place to raise a family
