  • How to sparkle yourself with the true single hair and sparkle Faery Hair Sparkles method, showing how I tie with Pixie Hook on my own hair.
    This works best if you've already mastered the Fairy Hair knot on others, see my youtube channel, / serafaery for tutorial videos on the true single hair/single silk sparkle Faery Hair tying method. This is the original method that can last for months, it uses a tiny almost undetectable knot, so does not come out easily with brushing or washing, and can barely be felt.
    Sparkles, tools, and instructions can be purchased at my online shop: www.faeryhairsparkles.com Treat these sparkles just like your own hair, they can be washed, flat ironed or curled, and styled just like hair, until the one hair of yours it is tied onto decides to leave you, which can be anywhere from a day to a year.
    I have not tried this on the back of my hair or on short hair, I imagine that would be much trickier!

    Thank you, Sera! I'm glad to know this CAN be done. I've tried it in the past without success. Now, I know to just try harder :-)

    You are adorable! I cannot wait to try this! You probably mention this somewhere, but I'm not sure where to look. What is the beck hook to use for very fine hair?

    • @SeraFaery
      @SeraFaery  2 года назад +2

      Hi Lani, thank you so much, I appreciate the comment so much! I think either hook works the same on different textures of hair, I am *very* careful to make sure every pixie hook is inspected for the correct amount of friction on the hook itself. They are often too stiff for hair and I cannot return them so have to just toss those, I absorb a lot of loss through my selection but I'm not going to ever send a hook that won't work on every kind of hair. The handle length has more to do with your own comfort while holding and storing them. I usually use the smaller one because that's what I learned with, but many people prefer the larger handle, it's easier to hold and keep track of :) I hope that's helpful!

      @@lcenaepke5904 Hi, thank you so much! I sell the highest quality sparkles I have been able to find at faeryhairsparkles.com - they are non-branded and either original silk based from SE Asia that we've used since the 2000s, or a domestic high quality Thai silk style that is also the highest durability and softness, my supply sources are my own partnerships that I worked for years to research and foster. these are the only sparkles I will use while working, my customers expect the best so that's what I use

    How do you remove them?

    • @SeraFaery
      @SeraFaery  3 года назад +1

      Hi Kenzie! Faery hair naturally sheds with the hair over time, but if you want to take them out manually, you can just find the one hair that sparkle is tied to and cut it off from there (or pull it off if you rather!)

    Why does mine unravel when I try to pull the hook through? It’s not making a knot

    • @SeraFaery
      @SeraFaery  2 года назад +1

      This is a very common issue, this video is assuming you've already learned the knot and how to avoid this. Let me find a timestamp explaining this problem in a different tutorial for you.... here ya go: ruclips.net/video/vf-uVUY4X4g/видео.html

      When you make the knot do you have to cut both ends ever? Or leave a double strand,

    Thanks so much for watching! Please let me know if you have any questions or comments, here or at serafaery@yahoo.com
    I have starter kits and sparkles available at www.faeryhairsparkles.com
    Currently in-person sparkling in Portland is on hold, but my website for that is www.faeryhair.com
    My facebook page is udpated regularly: facebook.com/FaeryHair
    This one hair/one sparkle knot will only work with genuine high quality Faery Hair Sparkles, not the synthetic cheaper stuff. If you want to use cheaper materials that's fine, I would recommend using a crimping bead if sparkling yourself with those, it would be much easier and last longer, you just have to avoid the bead when brushing.
    I'm hoping to put together an "outtakes" video to accompany this if I can get my video editor to behave - I am not techy!
