- This was BABYMETAL's first song! When they first recorded the audio and all that, Su-Metal was 12 years old (her birthday is in December so she hadn't turned 13 yet) and Yuimetal and Moametal were 11 years old. Babymetal covered 'Over the Future' by Karen Girls in a concert in 2012. Yui said it was a dream come true. She knew Ayami Muto who was one of the 2 other girls with Su in Karen Girls. The concert where they covered Over the Future was for her and Moa's 14th birthdays 'Legend of 1999'. Yui had been going through a hard time in life earlier with her family being in the hospital and she would listen to Karen Girls. It was her dream to be a member. this is where all begins, i remember back on those days they release the MV, a friend of mine introduced me to this vid and i was blow away with so much cuteness and the metal song, never thought they gonna hit the spot and become so bigger, it was just a fun vid and i was proud to know something that was mostly for only "japanese" viewers or people who loves the japanese culture. As for the song & video, I like to remind myself of what I was doing at the ages of 10-13 (not much). Also, the Japanese language translated to English can be imprecise & can even appear awkward or nonsensical to us westerners. That said, when I look at these older vids I cannot help but admire the courage & perseverance the girls demonstrated as they continued to travel their path into the heavily male dominated world of metal. And she also got excited expecting what was going to happen today at her school and in future. Now in 2021, Su-Metal is 23 and Moametal is 21, so no one expected this song would be performed again. But BABYMETAL again did the unexpected ! On December 12, 2020 Su-Metal, Moametal and Momoko Avenger performed this song in special online concert. Su and Moa's voice sounded very cute as if they were 12 & 10 year-old girls. (Moa said in an interview that Su was good at mimicking her childish voice. And I think so is Moa). That was a surprising Christmas present for fans ヽ(^o^)丿
Haha one much easier way you could've gone about this whole math thing is to just look at their birthday year : 99 for Yui & Moa 97 for Su. Then you can just add up. First, thank you for saying you haven't reacted to Babymetal in a bit instead of saying "its been a minute ". That phrase is getting a little tiresome for my old ears. 🤣 Secondly, I could only hear the guinea pigs when they were clanking their salad forks on the plate. Thirdly, very nice reaction as always. Su's birthday is December 20th while Yui and Moa are in the middle of the year so that makes the math more difficult. I can't help but laugh at Su's ears every time I see the rotating heads scene. 😁
Heya, quick heads-up: don't count back those years, just remember two numbers instead: 1997 for Suzuka, and 1999 for Moa and Yui. Those years will come up again whenever you watch any of the Legend 1997 or Legend 1999 performances, because those concerts were meant as a celebration of one of the girls' respective birthdays. As far as Su is concerned, you can safely subtract another year in most cases, as her birthday is December 23rd, so, for most of 2012 she was only 14 years old (and 12 when they recorded the vocals in 2010). ;-)

Don't call Moa small! The video was filmed in 2011 so Yui and Moa were 12 years old and Su was almost 14. The backing band aren't a band at all. They are a group of dancers call Babybones that are just playing air guitar. Babymetal used backing tracks for their first few years until their producer was able to get the awesome Kami Band together. Doki Doki Morning is translated as "Heart Pounding Morning" and was first released on Sakura Gakuin's 2010 CD. Also nicely ironic vintage T-shirt. FYI I once met Edwin Land when Polaroid was still a real company.

Heya, quick heads-up: don't count back those years, just remember two numbers instead: 1997 for Suzuka, and 1999 for Moa and Yui. Those years will come up again whenever you watch any of the Legend 1997 or Legend 1999 performances, because those concerts were meant as a celebration of one of the girls' respective birthdays. As far as Su is concerned, you can safely subtract another year in most cases, as her birthday is December 23rd, so, for most of 2012 she was only 14 years old (and 12 when they recorded the vocals in 2010). ;-)
December 20th for Su. However, December 23rd is Hinata Sato's birthday, so it's still in the Sakura Gakuin realm. :D

Don't call Moa small! The video was filmed in 2011 so Yui and Moa were 12 years old and Su was almost 14.
The backing band aren't a band at all. They are a group of dancers call Babybones that are just playing air guitar. Babymetal used backing tracks for their first few years until their producer was able to get the awesome Kami Band together. Doki Doki Morning is translated as "Heart Pounding Morning" and was first released on Sakura Gakuin's 2010 CD.
Also nicely ironic vintage T-shirt. FYI I once met Edwin Land when Polaroid was still a real company.
