    For the dough:
    1/4 C warm water
    1/4 C + 1 Tbsp sugar, divided
    2 tsp active dry yeast
    1/2 C warm milk
    1 egg
    4 Tbsp melted butter
    2 1/4 C flour
    1/4 C cocoa powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    For the filling:
    2/3 C brown sugar, packed
    2 Tbsp cocoa powder
    2 tsp cinnamon
    1/4 C softened butter
    1 tsp vanilla
    For the frosting:
    4 oz softened cream cheese
    1/4 C softened butter
    2 C powdered sugar
    1/4 C cocoa powder
    1/2 tsp vanilla
    Dash of salt
    1. Combine warm water, 1 Tbsp sugar, and yeast in the bowl of a stand mixer. Let sit 5-10 minutes until foamy.
    2. Add milk, 1/4 C sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla and mix using the dough hook.
    3. Add 2 C flour, salt, cinnamon, and cocoa powder. Mix, starting on low-speed and increasing to high. Add the remaining 1/4 C flour. Dough should be smooth and only slightly tacky.
    4. Knead in the mixer for 5 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a warm damp towel, and let rise 1 hour.
    5. Mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla for the filling.
    6. On a floured surface, roll dough into an 18”x10” rectangle. Spread softened butter on top and sprinkle the filling evenly. Roll dough long-ways and cut into 8 equal pieces. Cover with lightly greased wax paper and let rise for 30-60 minutes. Preheat oven to 350.
    7. Make the frosting by beating together the cream cheese and butter. Add powdered sugar, cocoa powdered vanilla and salt.
    8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown. Frost while warm!✨
