That same sound clip of that Clanging Bell would go on to be reused in " Herbie Rides Again" as the sound of the Bell for Old Number 22 the Trolley Car. The "Voice Box" Steam Whistle of Casey Jr.is also quite amusing as well. Wish they had done more shorts with Casey Jr. They missed out on a doing a feature length Railway/Railroad centered movie at Disney.

I think Ward just took inspiration from small English engines like a Beattie Well tank, Coppernob and Furness Railway No.20. I think it's just a little peculiar for an avid railroader like Ward for him to animate outside cylinders but not have a drive shaft on the wheels

They run that porter in Disneyland as a single, must of sone that to even out her ride. Porters are know to do Rock & Roll as the Railway Series put it.
Casey served as the for that engine (since Disney is the "Master of Recycling," they reused the outline animation of Casey as reference for this sequence)

The country itself is even well known for its almost perfect railway system. You should make some videos on it as well as some videos on other railways of central and eastern Europe
