I prepared the gender reveal for my niece's younger sibling. My brother was supposed to do it, but of course he didn't prepare in time, so I was the one who got to go to Party City the night before MOTHER'S DAY to try to find one of those black balloons. Naturally, they were all out. I ended up getting a question mark-shaped pinata and stuffing it with all the glitter I could find. The idea was that we would have my niece hit the pinata to break it open, but she was only 1.5 at the time and didn't really know what to do. Then we tried to pull on the ribbons at the bottom-- rather than opening the trap door, it pulled the whole pinata off the hook! Eventually, after fighting with it for several minutes we were able to get it open, but my poor niece was so stressed by then that the video ended up really funny. Her mom: "Honey, you're going to have a baby brother!" My niece: "WAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!" Fast forward five years, and they are best friends, so it worked out! ^^
As someone with an older brother-when I was little, he was my idol. As I got older, it was hunger games in the house and he was the first tribute you needed to take out-
Our son and daughter-in-law just had a gender reveal via Facebook live. He's in the military and they are about 20 hours away from the rest of the family. They're having a boy. Our first grandchild 💙💙
Its illegal even in India In the past people used to abort babies if it turned out to be a girl. Since it was getting out of hand govt passed the law n it is still prevalent even now
As a female with two brothers is interesting. Having an older brother has its perks, but i had to deal with him picking on me alot just because. Lol. But having two brothers, which i have one older brother and one younger brother, shows the relationship dynamic in my case to be different.
Anyone else think about a certain infamous gender reveal failure involving tannerite and about 92 sq km of burnt down Californian forests? That's what I thought of when I saw the failure bit on the video title. Generally any gender reveal involving tannerite.
beside the ones that go over board and cause wildfires , I love gender reveals/baby showers cause it’s a celebration of new life especially for people who’ve had problems conceiving or carrying to full term🥺💕
With my first son, I wanted to know the gender because my father-in-law was seriously ill at the time and I feel blessed that he knew he was going to have a grandson before he left us. My younger son was born 18 months after my first and my older son had the cutest "WTH is that?" look on his face when they first met. Now, my older son is very protective of his brother.....😊.

If I ever had a child, I didn't want to know the gender. Odd this day and age!!! 😂 My older sister did, and way before her death, I told her that I would let the doctor tell her. I'm now 42 and will never have kids due to my medical condition, but I always imagine how she would have been affected by either result. 😊❤
that’s very shocking to hear it’s illegal to announce the gender of your baby in sk. will definitely need to look into that more i’m so just ,,, why 😵💫😂
These parties are a pretty recent thing and usually done by people with money to burn. The whole idea seems silly, but I guess I shouldn’t begrudge people who found a way to have a little bit of happiness in a harsh world.^^
@@jeanfelix9696 they will abort the girls then the trafficking rate sky rockets for sex slaves and the world as in shambles india & china are already seeing consequences
These types of parties are not very common. It's very upper middle class and upper class. I grew up lower middle class, so we weren't petty enough to do things like this. Then again, Americans will take any excuse for a party!
@ AliceParkSwiss, people would believe you if you could prove it. For as far as I know it, it became a thing in 2008 and that is most certainly not several decades.
@@Ateezwooyoung Why would you bother with a gender reveal party if you're struggling financially? You can say what you want, but I believe that lower income families know how to be smarter with their money than throwing it around at the drop of a hat. My family had financial meetings all the time (when I was a child) about being careful with our money regarding "extra" things that were not necessary to have. We are not the only ones who would choose one party over 3 parties if we were the host. And if you can prove that these parties have been commonplace for decades, then let us know, because I never heard of them growing up in the 90's in the States.
My dad wanted a son more than anything..... He has 6 daughters now, and two of us like women lmao. Honestly it's a good thing. I don't think he could raise a son well, considering how terribly he raised his daughters.
I read it's because females were being aborted. In that culture, males are still expected to take care of their families. Having boys makes you more likely to have a secured future. It's sad, but times are changing and so is Korea. They have come a long way, but they still have a lot of time before they catch up with the West.
It is illegal in some parts of the world eg India my home country in the past they used to abort babies if it turned out to be a girl . As it was going to extreme levels govt passed the law to not to find out the gender until birth . But some people still do it illegally thru bribes etc
In an effort to reduce the incidence of selective abortions, South Korea enacted a law in 1988 making it illegal for a doctor to reveal the gender of a foetus to expectant parents.

A gender reveal party is how one of the worst fires in California history was started.

NAWW really? 😭
Oh shut up…
And it burned for just under a month

It’s illegal to know the baby’s sex prior to birth? Why? Are people aborting female babies or something?
I was curious so I looked it up and it's for that reason.
That’s usually the reason, but megan revealed she’s having a boy and a girl.
Its illegal even in India In the past people used to abort babies if it turned out to be a girl. Since it was getting out of hand govt passed the law n it is still prevalent even now
@@sonishajordan9091 wouldn't they just kill the baby or neglect it or something?
They repealed that law in 2009. It is no longer illegal.

I am the oldest of 4 girls... I have a son and daughter that are 9 and 10 years old that I had very young. They are best friends
So with the balloon that flew away……girl or boy?
So the balloon that floated away wasn't a fail?
You should have them react to dangerous gender reveals.
Such as Fires, Bombs, Airplanes, Poisoning Waterfalls.

Curious about Korea culture about found girl or boy for their children’s surprised about siblings. 😊
Why is it illegal to reveal the sex of the baby?
Higher abortion rates for female babies.
Because if it was a girl they would abort it since Koreans parents want boys
that slap was personal

Yeah they just throw female babies in the trash
