If magic didn’t work out for Frank he could have made a fortune doing radio with that voice.

It's kinda crazy...since I started posting my magic I think I've gotten more compliments on my voice than my sleights. 😂

Frank Paris Can you tell me how Frank does the one handed snap of the cards? I can't tell if it's his thumb or other finger. It's a great little touch.

As I watched your video tapes of Frank Garcia, I was reminded of another great close-up performer.... Michael Skinner.
Michael Skinner's performing style had a number similarities to that of Frank Garcia. For example, they both spoke with the
same tone of voice, and they both spoke at the same pace and with the same cadence. Their technique for palming a card off
the top of the deck and then bringing their hands to the tables edge, with the finger tips of both hands touching the top of the
table is identical. I believe that Michael probably adopted these performance traits from Frank Garcia. You can see more of Frank Garcia' s performance style by going to RUclips and viewing his appearances on the David Susskind Show back in 1983.

Frank may have influenced him remember videos were a new thing when this was filmed so unless Mike saw him on TV or at a lecture he may not have been influenced.

@Frank Paris -- how did you obtain this video? That's Frank's voice... I recognize it. I used to see Frank fairly often at Tannen's 42nd Street location when I was a teenager. The last time I saw him was at Tannen's on 34th Street.

Thank you for posting these gems. Do you know how Frank made such a loud snap on the cards? Was he using his thumb?

Do not know but we should both study that to see if we can figure out how it is done.
