Hey everyone. I’ve had numerous comments about the overlay in this video and I just wanted to clarify - if there’s ever an overlay on a video (here, or on any other reactors’ page), it’s because there were issues with it being blocked everywhere or in certain territories due to copyright laws. Obviously being a reactor is difficult because of these laws, because we’re using other people’s intellectual property and reacting/analyzing/discussing them. Apologies if it’s annoying for you, but unfortunately sometimes it’s unavoidable if I want to upload a certain performance. In this video, this particular performance was blocked in certain territories and I didn’t want to exclude anyone. I’m sure because it wasn’t blocked anywhere in North America, a lot of reactors chose to not add an overlay. But this time I chose to not exclude anyone! I haven’t had to do this often, and I hope I don’t have to use it that often going forward. But I just wanted to explain why it happens, even though it’s not ideal. 🤍✌🏼
I’ve probably watched 20 reactions to this same performance in the few days since it has been out and no one else has had to do this so you might want to look into that.
@@northof4912 I posted this before a ton of people had done it, and most of those early reactors (who you might not be seeing now because it's become a more popular reaction) had written "THIS IS BLOCKED" overtop of their videos. So I did look into it. And I tried a bunch of different uploads, which took hours. In the end I chose not to neglect certain viewers in those blocked territories, so c'est la vie.
There are many of us old rockers who get a bit emotional as well. Why? They have a new and different sound than any of the rock I have heard in nearly 30 years. They are incredibly skilled at their instruments. They are three young women breaking down the walls of what had been nearly entirely a male dominated-genre. They are from Mexico whic has never been well-represented in Anglophile mainstream rock They are phenomenal live. They are genuine and some of the nicest people I have ever met.
GenX-er, pro musician here. 100% agreed. Oddly enough, I got to give lessons for a short while at college to a metal rock female guitarist (Cynthia Blackcat, amazing performer). She’s also the sweetest person you could meet. Go mexican rocker girls!
Those of us who have followed them for several years get emotional watching them. It doesn't matter how many times you've heard a song or watched a performance, it will just hit you. There is "More" of them in this performance as in the song. Even if you've seen the official music video this live performance hits harder and is worth watching.
“We wrote ‘EVOLVE’ about humanity’s dangerous obsession with evolving,” the band said. “And how sometimes that evolution leads us to slowly leave our humanity behind. Is this dehumanizing evolution right or wrong?” If you like their harmonies, I would suggest the performances of their songs Revenant or Enter Sandman from the Teatro Metropolitan show.
You’re in great company Jenna. Once you find Dany, Pau and Ale it’s impossible not to fall in love with them. They are incredibly talented artists and even better people. Great analysis of the lyrics!
Words are not enough to describe the emotion produced by witnessing this event that will remain one of the most important milestones in the TW timeline. The hungriest, biggest, most powerful and ferocious beast was restrained on a short leash, muzzled and contained in the backyard… NOW IT WAS RELEASED!! Thanks and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽 🤘😁✌️
I will never get tired of that breakdown! In this performance though, when Pau is hyping the crowd, they take it to a whole other level. And yes, they do look amazing, and very classy, but that's beside the point, their music, intelligence and talent will always be the main focus when it comes to The Warning.
These young ladies blew them all away, Pau...wow!!. Ale stepped up big time here. Left everything on the stage. They are so cool!! I get emotional everytime I listen to them and this one left me in tears. Cheers, Rich
Hi Jenna, so glad you chose this version it’s the best ever performance - there’s also MORE from the same show that is just as dope! The two people who you saw were big fans, at the start they wished Dany happy Dany day (which it was) so she pointed them out to the camera man. These as far as I know were the only Warning fans there, the rest was a audience that had never heard of them! They were well and truly Warned! I hadn’t realised how much you liked them, I absolutely do now, your face said it all 🤩 Need I really say that I really enjoyed your reaction and analysis - well of course I should 🌹🌹🌹 Oh p.s. the lyrics are always great and very often thought provoking, you were on the right track of interpretation!
The message is about how our human values are deteriorating at the same time we are evolving, so, Is it wrong or right to evolve? That’s the question Paulina wrote at the end of the song.
Another great reaction to The Warning, Jenna. If you like the harmonies from them, they use them in many of their songs as another instrument to sonically fill as a trio. One of many that comes to mind is a slower ballad, sung by Pau called "Revenant" from their ERROR album. The video to see is the live performance of this song at the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX, Mexico City.
This was like a Rock Band (video game) video, which is kind of a full circle moment for them. You are correct in your interpretation of the meaning from Pau’s perspective; she came up with the idea after watching a show about the dangers of human evolution. 👍😎
Love that you love them! I must say tho, Im glad you think they’re “cool”. To many of us, they’re 5% cool, 95% dorky lovable nerds posing as cool, except for Ale she’s just the definition of seamless natural SWAG.
You're just getting to know the top of the iceberg. The girls have splendid harmonies in other songs, and their lyrics always have a meaning in addition to being their own, written by themselves, especially Pau.
Oh man I love them too I totally felt your energy this entire reaction. 🤩 I usually like very technical and intense Metal or Electronic music so when I first heard them a while back I thought they were a bit too basic for me and didn't really give them a chance. Man was I wrong. Their ability to write great songs that are memorable is so good and their energy and passion on stage is unrivalled. These are things not everybody can just do and things I feel are lacking in a lot of music scenes today. I could go on I'll just say it's also beautiful seeing some of the younger generation represent Rock and not just Pop or Rap. They're real artists and are a true inspiration. 🤘 Thanks Jenna for another sweet reaction. I'd request something but you always drop some bangers. 😎✌️
If you thought their performance outfits were fabulous, you should have seen them during the show. They wore latex dresses and were featured in Vanity Fair, Cosmopolitan, and Glamour!
You said it all. They are so cool! I love listening to them so much. Thanks for keeping on reacting to them. They have slowly but surely worked their way up to one of my two favorite bands. The other is, of course, Nightwish.
I thought MTV had given up music for reality shows long ago, which is one of the reasons I've not watched MTV in decades. The Warning crushed it, as always. I just hope MTV didn't force the new stage costumes on them.

Great reaction I couldn't say it better so just thank you. Their 3 way harmonies midway through Enter Sandman is my favorite example of what you were saying. 🤟🔥⚡⚡⚡
The 3 of them harmonizing so well throughout their entire career is so good, that it is considered by many of us, to be their 4th member/instrument. Besides Dany layering her guitar playing with delays, and tones at the same time (yes, same time using her pedals), those angelic Harmonies make a 3 pc band, sound like a 5 pc group. The "Wall" of sound that they produce at their concerts, is simply unreal. You hear them on the radio, RUclips, and in your car, but when you FEEL them play, oh man.... "WTF just happened? ", slips out of your mouth. 🤯 Have a listen to their new radio friendly Track "More", done at the VMA's also. MORE of everything I just said in that song. ⚡
They have been measured between 105 & 110 DB's at most venues, and have been known to peak over 120 at times. The bass hits hard and extra heavy, as it tries to push you backwards all night! @@DirtyCatBox
The guy caught singing his ass off, put out a video about that show(go watch) basically he was moved down front after the first song(More). He said he believed most of the crowd was actually for the other two acts. They have now been WARNED. They played 4 times. There’s an emotional attachment that develops quickly with this band. I can’t explain it, but I’m proud and so happy for them. They make you feel involved in this journey. The heights are unknown, but I’m here for all of it!
Subscribed because of your support for TW and for a genuinely awesome reaction. 🔥🔥 Yes, human evolution has not exactly been the best thing for this planet, has it? A lot of people see this song as an anthem because they only latch on to the 'I'm the danger' part, but for the girls, the intent was more of ... well... a warning. 🚨🚨🚨 Gotta love it. And them. Rock on!
I've watched the music video and numerous live performances of this song and this one blows all of them away. They're so tight and in synch during this performance. Dany and Aly just shredding and prowling the stage, then the animal behind the drum kit lets out that blood curdling scream. 🤯
IMO this is the best recording of Evolve yet -- better even than Teatro Metropolitan. Of course, a year later, they've continued to get better. But a lot of it was that someone finally set Ale's mic level high enough for her low harmonies to be heard clearly. It adds more weight to the song. It sounded to me like the crowd started going wild when Pau unleashed her Scream of Destruction, which by the way was also one of the best I've heard. That guy up front vlogged his experience: ruclips.net/video/VOF-XKW7kyQ/видео.html. The live show only had short clips of both Evolve and More.

Evolve is about ai . I imagine a chip in the head causing pain and is trying to take over. Sang from the perspective of the ai . Which is why when Pau screams gives me chills every time. Great reaction thanks Koality 🤘⚡️🤘

The way I’ve heard them describe it is that they wanted to develop as a band and individual musicians into what they wanted to be and what they imagined themselves becoming. When they were younger, record labels wanted to sign them, but only if they changed themselves to what the label wanted them to be, but fortunately they had enough integrity to say no, and not just change to get a contract. They finally found a label that would let them have creative control of their music and they’ve been able to grow (or ‘evolve’) into what they are today and what they will become over time. “Pain is the price to survive, to evolve” is referring to the extra work they need to stay true to themselves, and not just sign a contract and just sell themselves out and maybe have a fleeting moment of fame and success, which would eventually fade out. And now they’re not in danger of all that, they ARE the danger as they prove themselves and show what is possible by not giving in. The ‘vessel in disguise’ refers to a naval tactic in WWI, where they make ships (or vessels) look like a merchant ship, thus appearing like something that they weren’t, which is what The Warning was able to avoid by not giving in. All of which begs the question, is it wrong or right to evolve?
They always close their live performances with EVOLVE and I love when Pau is yelling commands at the crowd too lol. Pau said she got the idea for the lyrics from a Netflix documentary she watched about genetic modification and Dany said a lot of the lyrics on the ERROR album are about questioning different things happening in our society, so I think you're on the right track with the song meaning.
and when Pau is commanding the crowd to lift their hands and clap, you better check, if you have a third one you could use, just in case... ;o) Pao is the Beast from the Muppets comming to live... in female... with great voice... and overall amazing awesomeness ;o)

I have been a fan a couple years now. And the one major thing that everybody overlooks is how YOUNG they are! Ale is still only 18 years old. And I believe Pau is only 20. You can't take your eyes off them! You're just mesmerized by what you're watching while they kick your ass. It's amazing! Man, I hope they explode!!! They really DESERVE to be at the top!!! " You've been Warned!!!"
Oooh, more harmonies you say? Amour, Revenant, check out the MV for Enter Sandman (yep!), Crimson Queen, hmmm, there's more but I'd have to think about it ...
It's time for you to come back! We need more reaction videos! You are falling behind on all the new The Warning content. I know you will love the cover of " You ought to know" ❤
Jenna, following your intro to the Warning and Band Maid, check out some more amazing ladies from the other side of the pacific making a mockery of the idea that rock and metal is a mans domain. You will love it. Try Lovebites “Holy War” Live and “Swan song” with the Chopin intro Live. Love to see your reaction.
I have many favorite songs by The Warning, but this one is definitely near the head of the pack. Lately I find myself interpreting it in the context of their songwriting. The song More was a slight shift for them to, as they put it, show a bit of their fun side, and it may signal how their next album might evolve their sound. I wonder if Evolve might have come about from them trying to decide which direction to move in with this next album? Probably not, but it is where my mind goes when I hear this song lately.
The warning also means hope in a world ruled by ReggaeTonto, that started in Latin America. As a Colombian 🇨🇴 myself the warning is hope in a better future a future that among other things lacks ReggaeTonto.
They are pros. At the top of 'the game', but not even close to the top of THEIR game. Both Evolve and MORE were done in one take. Why only one? Ya can't improve on perfection.
Keep in mind, nobody in that room knew who they were, the crowd were there to see some other pop/rap artists.. The one guy singing was a fan, and that was it. By the end of this, their second song, the whole room were fans.
I know the band has talked about the intended meaning of the lyrics but I think if you just take them as they are they can be interpreted quite a few different ways. I hear a good bit of defiance and angry independence in the lyrics, like "You think I'm hurt? No, I'm powerful". Kind of like when a teenager tells mom to stop mothering them, or when a victim of violence hardens themselves and 'becomes a weapon' rather than a victim. Again, I know that isn't what they've said it's about, but that's how I read some of it. The questioning of whether it's wrong or right to 'evolve' in this way is a recognition that by hardening oneself and becoming the danger, you're giving something up too.
This one did because it’s property of MTV, not The Warning. So because it was filmed by MTV, it was blocked in certain territories overseas. I chose not to exclude those people by adding the overlay.

DING DING DING!!! You Get IT!! That Palpable Emotion is PRIDE!! We All Feel it! 💥💥💥
Cierto, se merecen el éxito que están teniendo. 🤘🇲🇽🤘🇲🇽🤘🇲🇽 Viva The Warning!!! (todos las amamos)
Locura!!!
Great reaction Jenna! Love The Warning, and in the VMA they really explode 🎉
So proud seeing the growth. They are amazing. They make hits! Really talented!
The future is in Mexico!! Mexico is on the World Stage!! Thank you Gracias Sisters you girls are Amazing!!
They always close their live performances with EVOLVE and I love when Pau is yelling commands at the crowd too lol. Pau said she got the idea for the lyrics from a Netflix documentary she watched about genetic modification and Dany said a lot of the lyrics on the ERROR album are about questioning different things happening in our society, so I think you're on the right track with the song meaning.
and when Pau is commanding the crowd to lift their hands and clap, you better check, if you have a third one you could use, just in case... ;o)
Pao is the Beast from the Muppets comming to live... in female... with great voice... and overall amazing awesomeness ;o)
🤘🔥🤟
The roof of MTV is on 🔥 until now after that performance. 😅😅😅😅🙂😎

Thanks for the reaction Jenna! We are all nerds when it comes to TW, you are just fitting right in! No apologies needed!!😊🔥⚡️
TW reminding the world what MTV used to be…
Did you catch the time signature change? 7/4 time in the middle and at the end, outside of the typical 4/4 beat. Amazing song composition ❤

There IS more! It’s called ‘More’. Although it will leave you wanting …more 😉
Jenna, following your intro to the Warning and Band Maid, check out some more amazing ladies from the other side of the pacific making a mockery of the idea that rock and metal is a mans domain. You will love it. Try Lovebites “Holy War” Live and “Swan song” with the Chopin intro Live. Love to see your reaction.
I ♥ The Warning 🎶🎶
Great video
Great reaction! A suggestion: you don’t need to make it opaque with the bubbles. The Warning videos don’t get blocked by RUclips
This one did because it’s property of MTV, not The Warning. So because it was filmed by MTV, it was blocked in certain territories overseas. I chose not to exclude those people by adding the overlay.
search and take the time to watch Dany's "Dany Day' midnite shows, you'll see why we ALL fall in love with her,,
