2:27 - (Drops Herring) Well, I never ... !
(The sheep says "All, who read this, are stupid".)
People from the Faroe islands are like Vestjyder (people from vest Denmark). They hate new stuff, especially if it touches their traditions. They are super friendly, like really friendly, but at the same time ,super subspecies often rude. They du not like Copenhagen og Sjælland in general. And then they are just super familie minded.
(Im from Jutland but have familie ind the Faroe islands)
2:26 that hurt me. I am not stupid, why the sheep gotta say that!
You have forgotten the drama with the Nazi Doctor!
Joke's on us for "colonizing" them.
They've used their two votes (out of 179 possible votes) to tip the scales of Danish democracy more than once 🙄
2:28 excuse me insulting
i am from faroe islands
av bror
I have to say, the text at 2:27 is very disrespectfull.

As a faroese person i must say that the roomers of us being incestual… are completely true. I’m really against it but a large portion of us aren’t
Heh. What small island population that's under a million residents isn't incestuous?
2:32 - So Copenhagen treated the Faroes no differently than it did most of Denmark
for the majority of the Kingdoms existence 😆
Hvar eru mínir Færeysku bræður?
Pretty important to add that the islands can become independent from one day to the next. All it takes is a letter from the Chair of the ting to the Danish Government. Done deal. Their call.
Turkish pirates where in particular a problem in the southern parts if i remember correctly.
Corsair pirates.
More than just pirates. It was slave traders and faroese people got abducted
Are you sure its not Algerian, sure they came from the Ottoman sphere of influence... But these Corsair city states of North Africa existed on a "kinda independent to fully independtent" spectrum
@@EmilReiko In Iceland we had similar “Ottoman” pirate raids that were conducted by North African pirates, not Turks. So I assume the same is true for the Faroese…
Fix the thumbnail its Norwegian colonisation
A manatee with a mustache and in a hat, speaking with a fluctuating accent which sounds like theyre seconds away from bursting out laughing at whatever the humans are doing in todays topic.
For those wondering: 2:26 means "everybody who reads this is stupid"
