+David Verbruggen You can't see the engine on the S, it's a panel with two air vents basically. I think the GT looks so much better, still not too sure about those front lights though.. they are too big.
Depends on how much money you have doesn't it. If you had £50mil in the bank I doubt you would need to buy the cheaper car to "save" that 200k for further investments.
I don't know why everyone's saying to get the side vents and sill plates satin black, it will look like literally every other 675lt out there lol. That's why I quite like james' spec the way it is, way more unique.

That single-track road is SO DECEPTIVELY LONG, and ascends so high up, with elevated hairpins and amazing views.. Truly amazing place to be! We have a BMW Z4 and a Porsche Boxter, and I suggested doing a Wales road trip after watching your video a while ago in the F12 at the Evo triangle. We went there and it did NOT disappoint! Pretty mad that we stayed in Aberystwyth also as a half-way house to the Evo triangle. Just want to say also that you are a huge inspiration to me. The 1 thing I heard salomondrin said is that the 570s is more performance than any body needs on the street. But the petro head in him just want to have the LT because in the back of his mind he knows the LT is the better performance car and one that is faster than anything south of a hyper car. Is it the same with you or would you be perfectly fine with a 570s?
The thing with Salomon is that he has other cars he can daily and enjoy, with the LT being mostly the track car and for Banging gears. Replacing it for 570S is not really a thing. THe ACR for the LT, sure, that's the same, but this... No. I dont know what JWW Has, but im guessing he has the same notion
Great Video and beautifully shot as well. I think that if you never plan on taking the car to a track, the 570 would be the car to choose in the current range. Heck, you could buy a 570S and get a GT3 RS for track days for about £25K over the cost of an LT coupe, and the two would cost less than an LT Spider.
thanks for the reply guys, I know Lt stands for long tail! my observation was that it seems QUITE a lot longer than the 570, having not seen either of these cars in the flesh so to speak I am at something of a disadvantage when it comes to their exact dimensions, I did however see the original Lt back in the 90s and it was actually quite small.
Awesome video James! I really enjoyed the subtle spec differences of the 570 with the CF air intakes, looks sharp, but the the back end needs a air damn on the back to fix it for me. There was one at SEMA that Sam got a shot of (had a double actually), but just a 4" lip across the back to straighten out the line looks sick!

Everyone says wrap the side blades black on the LT to break it up and while I agree breaking up the orange would look nice, it's just pretty much every LT has black side blades. Maybe wrap it another colour like a blue or something.

A lot of people who just might be able to barely afford a 570s will probably want to know how it compares to it's bigger McLaren siblings, to know whether they'll be satisfied with it. I personally can't get enough of the engine bay cover and exhaust on the 675 LT. Instant classic and I can't think of another car that gets that quite so right. But in every other way the 570s seems to be such an incredible value. Regarding the side scoops on the 675 LT, I see what others are saying, but after a while all the contrasting carbon or matte black components starts to get tired with so many cars doing that. I like the more understated look also with body colored scoops. Actually I also think the 570GT looks better than the S, because of the body colored side tendons and the sloping rear window. But I'd still get the S.
The 675LT is, in my personal opinion, the most stunning piece of automotive art that has ever existed in recent generation. I am in awe every time I see one. Simply incredible.

Worth is a tricky word, those people who said the LFA wasnt "worth" 300k , well now its worth a lot more. Purchase price is not the thing to consider with a supercar, residuals are. Im sure JWW knows that though.

Another Great Vid man, but I think you need to change up the format of your videos a bit to keep it fresh. All the vids are very similar and same style, order and edit. It sometimes gets a bit boring. Not bashing you in any way.

I think rationally the 570 makes more sense. It probably gives you 90% of the performance, is arguably more usable on the road and more practical. Plus, it has the problem of coming in at a good 170k when there's well spec'd 650S at 150-160k or so . However, you love cars with your heart not your brain and the exclusivity, punch and drama of the LT is absolutely worth it if you have the cash.
If I became wealthy over night 675LT is definitely the 1st super car I'd buy. MCLAREN Newport CA has the one I Lust for. Napier green with rare roof scoop. 200 miles on it. Wow

Nah, the 570GT has the window for extra bags storage, and the 570S doesn't have the window so you can look into the engine.

the LT in the 675LT equates to sth like 30mm so not really a long tail if you look at the original F1 LT lol
