Regarding Joel taking out the shiv he was stabbed with: While yes, it is usually recommended to leave what you were stabbed with inside to keep pressure on the wound, that is a piece of advice given under the assumption that the victim would NOT be moving. Joel and Ellie were still in danger and had to get away, if Joel kept moving with a shiv sticking out of him it would have done more damage and probably cause more bleeding. If he had tried to get on the horse while still stabbed he could have caused further rupturing. So taking it out was the smarter thing to do. I am not a madical professional, if one is reading this feel free to correct me! Stay safe guys!
Ellie: I remember my first week just gorging myself. Stuffing food in all my pockets like it is gonna run out. Dina: I saw that. Ellie: No you didn't. Dina: I did I remember thinking who is this string bean stealing all the jerky?
not sure if anyone noticed, cuz all the reactors havent mentioned it, but the song playing at the end of this episode is Luno's version of the same song from the ending of the first episode, which was playing on the radio after they left their apartment, which was, to me, bill letting joel and tess know he was "leaving" with Frank
Okay so I absolutely how the Native American couple was portrayed here. Let me be clear, this is the MOST ACCURATE NATIVE AMERICAN DEPICTION I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MODERN DAY MEDIA ABOUT NATIVE AMERICANS. These are not actors, I am convinced these are like people from my own reservation. Right down the SLANG HOLY AND HOWAH are actual slang used for Canadian/Upper USA Indigenous peoples. I use Howah, I know people that use Holy exactly as this couple did. I am Native myself and I literally see no flaws here. There is nothing to critique. These aren't actors, they are a real native couple, I'm convinced. Its so real.
Omg, i watched alot of reactions and you guys are the best. When Joel was having a panic attack, it's the first time i heard someone say.."was there something wrong with the soup?!" 😂
I love the watching this with yall!!! Why is this show playing with my emotions and I'm only watching yall reactions? I need to find my cat cuz I need a hug
Ive never played the game so i was shook at Joel getting stabbed, i rushed to my daughters room to make sure hes wasnt gonna die (shes played the game) 😂
I may not have played the game myself (I'm bad at video games) but I watched a walkthrough/playthrough years ago, so I don't remember a lot of it, but I like hearing about the gameplay.
Why would they let Graham do the first voice over in the trailer and only give him less than five minutes?! Two Native performers with a bunch of TV\ Movie awards ominations and they get five minutes...and white girl stole a rabbit! That sums up Tribal\Colonizer relations. So much for the under represented.
It's kinda sad that even this is more then most do to represent. But you're asking too much for random passing characters that they didn't even have to include in the show
i don't trust Maria she tried too much to make Elie turn on Joel or at least be afraid of him or something like that in my opinion and they killed people too the people who "tried" them so maybe she should just mind her own business
Maria is like this in the game, it’s not that you can’t trust her it’s just she’s over protective of Tommy. She’s good people her and Joel become cordial eventually.
the fact that Maria blames Tommy's actions on Joel is extremely annoying, so I'm glad Ellie stood up for him. Sounds like Tommy couldn't take responsibility for his own past so he scapegoated Joel as if Tommy wasn't a grown man capable of making his own decisions all those years.
@@johnjungkook2721 I didn't play the game, but given how Tommy talked to Joel about it in the show, it sounds like he did take responsibility. But there's a lot of cognitive dissonance when you love someone who did things that should make them unlovable. We see it a lot with celebrities - depending on how beloved they are will determine how much people will try to justify their bad, even horrendous behavior. So I think that was how _she_ justified it, not how Tommy presented it.
Joel and Tommy killed innocent people tho, not only the people who "tried" them..they used to ambush them and murder them to take their stuffs just like the people in Kansas City. But yes I don't like how Maria said that Tommy was only following Joel..like he's a little kid and not a grown ass man..but she's a good person (at least in the game)
6:13 Pedro Pascal is 47 years old. Joel is 51-52 in the game but considering the brutal life style he has lived in the last 20 years, he would be more worn out than a man his age should be.
@midna833 yeah, not sure. pedro is closer to game joel's age after the apocalypse. some say it's because it's easier for him to play 10 years younger & 10 years older (46 playing 36 vs 46 playing 31, and 46 playing 56) others say bc it sorta makes more sense with some of the things that happen in the show. more realistic? idk.
Episode 6 tore me to pieces 😢💔 the bedroom scene especially I got teary eyed. Pedro's acting is impeccable. Loved seeing Jackson and seeing a certain character from the second game I loved Joel's reaction to Tommy. I didn't like Tommy in this episode he was a dick to his brother after Joel was looking for him for years. But this episode was amazingggggggggg!
This was my favourite episode so far, I just really love dialogue and character building. Also there is nearly no chance that Joel would have gotten on that horse on time with the bat still in, plus riding away would have caused soo much more internal damage 😬
OMG FIrst LOVE the Plague Doctor and the The Warriors Shirts. I was trying to edit my reaction for episode 6 before you get yours up so I could watch yours. But man you came in fast with your video. LOL. Love your video and channel much love from one lgbtq creator to another :)
I hope no one minds the game because I find it interesting how the game points translates to live action in its own way but still remaining true to the story. Thanks as always for the reaction/review,

After episode 3 I was like Bill and Frank are relationship goals. I changed my mind, native couple are relationship goals.
To quote The Road to El Dorado: "Both? Both. Both is good!"

Oh yesss I couldn’t wait for this!
Joel can't leave it in because it would only cause more tissue damage during the horse ride.
even when crying she still has to say fuck XD
The bow in the game is a recurve, and that is a compound. They look nothing alike :P
