Celebrating a nearly half-century tradition, the 49th Annual Gatlinburg Fourth of July Midnight Parade will line up July 3 at 11:59 PM and kick off at 12:01 AM on July 4th, ringing in the “First Independence Day Celebration in the Nation.” ACM Awards New Male Artist of the Year Nominee and GOLD-selling Country music hitmaker Conner Smith will headline the award-winning parade as Grand Marshal, ushering in the patriotic holiday in a procession of red, white, and blue.
This parade named as one of the “Top 10 Parades to see in the US” by National Geographic Traveler Magazine, will march through downtown Gatlinburg, beginning at the Baskins Creek Bypass located on East Parkway. Festive floats decorated in sparkling fashion will line the Parkway featuring patriotic marching bands, larger-than-life balloons, and more.
The First Independence Day Parade in the Nation has garnered national attention and award recognition for excellence in entertainment. The parade has been named by National Geographic Traveler Magazine as a “Top Ten Parade to see in the US” and recognized by Livability.com as one of the “Five Best Fourth of July Celebrations in Smaller Cities.” Additionally, the event has earned multiple Grand Pinnacle Awards by the International Festivals and Events Association.

Does anyone agree with me that if the photographer had a great camera, she could have taken some fabulous photos including close-ups without getting right into the parade. A couple of times I thought a parade participant was going to fall! You all got great video!

Thanks for capturing the parade for us but a huge shoutout to hills creek church with the soldier kneeling at the cross. That put glory bumps all over me thank you for what you stand for even the world doesn’t like it. This year was our first year at the parade- we were at stoplight 8. I love how they announce each float at the beginning. Totally different atmosphere where you were. Thanks for the video- now I can see what I missed.

I liked the go carts. We had an elves themed motor scooter float in school for “hilltop holidays”, and got a little carried away. Left the parade route and weaved in and out of other paraders Got to the front and turned around for more 😂.

My town of Lititz does this and today so many folks complaining no bands but school is out and it is in the heat of the day. Your parade has the other things ours did local businesses, fire trucks, military etc. thanks for showing this. My big question is did you do Dollywood yesterday and how were the crowds? Watched a Disney RUclips video this morning and they said the crowds were down. In my head was thinking they probably went to Dollywood

Trust me, it was driving me nuts, trying to film the parade. Both freelance photographers the city had at this location were very rude.

Ugghhh! Photog ruined my whole video watching experience.
I had to cut a lot out as the photographers the city hired were VERY unprofessional! They thought they owned the street.
