Self hate is real. The mere fact that she can tell her fellow melanin queens how to wear their hair speaks volumes about how she feels about herself. It be your own people sometimes😢 I like wigs and braids to switch it up a bit or strictly for a protective style but i absolutely love my natural hair... Besides, my wash days are my absolute favorite. They have also helped tone my arms (if you know what i mean)
I dated a woman with type 4 hair. She told me all kinds of stories about getting chemical burns, her hair falling out, migraines from braiding that was too tight. I asked her why she didn't just let it grow, she said she didn't like it natural, and that it was so damaged it just wouldn't grow right. She didn't like me to even touch it, which was a bummer because I like touching my woman's hair. Why is it some black women feel like they have to put themselves through all kinds of apparently hazardous things and discomfort to look a certain way?
Team natural all day ! Unfortunately, many black people feel the same way and prefer wigs ,weaves, perm, and curl patterns from 3A,3B,and 3C. When it comes to type 4 hair I notice this mindset like the lady in the video.
Wow no she didn't 😂😂😂😂 we live in a superficial world😮 I rock my natural hair more than anything smh curly, bone straight and any other style with my hair! Grown men chases me down to give me compliments 😂 these chick's must be bald headed 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😊
I am an African man and I first saw this story on a diy channel before I caught it on yours. It was sickening to hear an African woman talk about their hair like that. We have a problem in Africa, she even talked about church and her name is Chloe. What kind of Nigerian woman calls herself Chloe. I think she far too gone
Sis you are naturally beautiful 🌹🌹natural hair and all! I also wear my natural hair and I agree it’s NOT a trend because it’s what You was born with🙄the wigs, weave, extensions are the trends.besides those wigs they’re wearing I would stay with NATURAL 🤷🏽♀️
Sorry for her that she feels that way about her hair and other black women's natural hair and that she can't show up anywhere she wants with her natural hair. I can only speak for myself when I say that I have always worn my natural hair wherever I please because it's beautiful to me and I feel very confident in myself that I know that no matter what I wear my hair will compliment my look. No one will ever be able to tell me that a weave or wig that is not my natural texture looks better than my own hair that grows out of my head because that's just insane. Not trying to throw shade but I find it crazy that she has the nerve to say these things as a black woman with a straight hair wig that is not very flattering and covering her hairline as well. It's disturbing because to me it's seems as if she is ashamed of her hair vs her really loving her hair natural hair like she claims. I think women like this need to do some work on themselves cause clearly you don't love yourself enough and you're trying to project that onto others. And let's be real, no other racial group is saying things like this, it's only the black community. I say wear your hair however you feel regardless of the event or whether you have on an expensive dress or not. It's your God given right and who cares what anyone thinks.
yeah these women sound ridiculous. I love my natural hair and sometimes it takes time and patience to maintain our natural hair. I work in health care and I wear my natural hair all the time and no one has any problems with me wearing my natural beautiful hair.
What is really funny is that she really thinks she is dropping some knowledge! She is spreading ignorance and sadness! I have spent a majority of my life not liking my natural hair! I had relaxers and curls. For the last, close to 10 years, I have learned to love my natural hair, and no matter where I go, I wear my natural hair everywhere! I have never been into wigs, weave, etc! That has never been my thing! No one will tell me when it is or isn't appropriate to wear my natural hair!
I'm a white woman with lovely long silky shiny hair and I'm very lucky and I thank God 🙏🏼, I understand what you are trying to say in the fact of wigs and weaves to hide the afro, good video interesting 👍🏻✅
personally I just heard back pedalling and loopholes. it was giving mean girl, when she said how she'd be thinking if she was eyeing a girl in a nice dress and, in essence, if she saw her natural hair in a certain way , she'd say " you could've done better" ... pardon? looool. She meant what she said, but as the seconds went by, she attempted to repackage it, as to not potentially upset anyone. I think every wig wearer has gone through the stage of not feeling especially pretty when you take it off, but thats the extent of "disdain" I've had for my hair. me and all the women that surround me love our hair, and almost all of us wear it out 24/7. from going to the shops, to gala balls and dinners. ♡

Wow that’s crazy but not the first time I’ve heard of anything like this.

AMEN GIRL ! Loved your perspective !
Your right this is colonization 👏🏾👏🏾
🎉🎉congrats to the winner! Great informative video 😮
Thank youuu
I have relaxed hair and it can be very taxing to keep up with, but this young lady sounds ignorant and dismissive about natural hair.
That sista sounds confused 😢😮
Lol!!!

Yes time and patience is all we need !!
So, Lupita doesn't look glamorous on the red carpet

😂
@@Elijahboy555 jealousy mimicking our hair craving and wishing for our lovely natural beautiful hair, not in your DNA 🤣🐑🦧
@@SarahFarrell-g7q 🥲😂😂😂 dang you’re really dumb
Oof what a bitter woman you are. Click on a black woman's video and then immediately become racist ? Oof@@SarahFarrell-g7q
Chillleeeeeee it’s sad . I thought we evolved since the last decade.
Right !!
Thanks!
Wow thank you so much for my first super thanks ! So appreciate it 🙏🏾🙏🏾
OMG, it so sad to see this. When speaking about your hair so negative and other people hair, what do you think will happen to your hair. So so sad.
I know right !
Hmmm
DAMN
This is so weird and she’s contradicting everything actually saying.
Lol ikr

That’s great insight and yes I love that you rock it even in formal events !! That’s what we need!
