- This video shows the detailed process of installing the SW-Motech crashbar onto my Suzuki VStrom 650 XT. It's a relatively simple and straight forward process where the crashbars are mounted onto the chassis by using 4 bolts and spacers on each side. All the required waschers, bolts and spacers are provided by SW-Motech and also comes with a installation guide. I had to use some WD40 on the threads while torquing in the new bolts as the threads were quite locked up by the old thread lockers and applying too much pressure can sometimes break bolts.

i add rubber washers in all the crash bars that i have installed. they do wonders in the dampening of vibration
Good idea 😊👍🏼.. will try
Thank from France ;)
You're welcome
That deadlift 💪
For the tech stuff you do, I expected you to already have a cordless impact kit by now.
Then those bolts will go in without WD.
I need a more powerful impact kit. The present one just makes 10 Nm ... And these bolts were torqued super hard. 😅😅
Lol that wasn't a deadlift, it was actually a really bad way to lift a bike, totally with his back instead of his knees.
Excellent vid! Thank you!
Glad you liked it 😊
Mate, you got like from me. Cool video, just small advice - next time when you screw-unscrew bolts please put speed 3x to 5x, it's a bit boring to look whole process how you screw or unscrew bolts :) Regards, Dimi.
Thank you so much 👍🏼 ... I will keep those inputs in mind while editing videos in the future 😊👍🏼
Great thx
😊👍🏼
Great!!
Thank you.
Do make a video when you thread lock the bolts
I will 😊👍

@@elliotsayes8446 ??
@@MototechWanderer where is the video where you thread lock the bolts?
Do you think I am answerable to you ? My wish when and what I post.
How much NM do the 8 engine mounting brackets do according to Suzuki? SW Motech advises 23 NM.
Don't have the service manual, so cannot confirm the torque values.
So how much torque did you use?
Did not use a torque wrench, so cannot specify a value.
@@MegaHorse7 23
The Suzuki manual states 25 ft lbs, which is incorrect, the correct figure is 16.5 ft lbs (which is about 23nm, so SW are correct)
Now you have added moustache to your ADV ... :v
Haha 😁✌️
You need a good socket set those tools not Wright for the job.
I agree. Will buy one.👍
the bike is looking so damm sexy
Thank you. ♥️
Bruda, dont lift your bike up like this. Gonna break your back. Look youtube videos and save your body.
Yeah ... Will try the back to seat method next time. 😊✌️
