2:10 it's funny because there is a legend in I think Norse mythology of a man named Ymir actually milking the primordial cow of creation and using it to make the earth.
Ymir didn't have much to do with it. He kind of just... chilled and drank milk. The creation is actually even weirder... The cow (Audhumla) licked the briny edge of Ginnungagap, the big swirly void in between the worlds of fire and ice, and as the salty crystal stuff (Brine? Is that the word? Somehow I feel like brine is a liquid, but... oh well... I've always just pictured a giant salt lick) on the rim of the pit dissolved, a guy named Buri appeared. All this time, Ymir had been reproducing like an amoeba somehow, so Buri married one of Ymir's daughters and had a son named Borr, who had three sons named Odin, Vili, and Ve (knowledge, will, and spirit). They killed Ymir for no reason in particular and made the world out of his body parts. Anyway... sorry for rambling... I just get excited when somebody actually has heard of Norse mythology! Good connection, I wouldn't've thought of that.

I think most of know this... Once, a well known writer told this story: he get the most inspirational ideas in sleep. Therefore he got a notebook besides the bed not to forget them till morning. One night he had the idea of his life, he wrote it down and slept until morning. He woke up, curious to see what his new bestseller could tell about. The note was: boy loves girl. “Yesterday it sounded better...”
I am a person who finds a passion in writing songs. And I can completely relate to this. There is that energy rushing outta you and boom its like you've done something suitable for yourself 😅
When I say "yesterday" I usually mean "before I went to sleep" so the time after midnight but before I went to bed is still "yesterday" for me. Like if it's 12:10am I don't say that suppertime was yesterday, nor do I say that the next morning is today. A day is the unbroken time between waking and sleeping, and arbitrarily breaking that up because "technically it's after midnight" doesn't make much sense.
I think this just proves that the song was clearly longer than a day, and Daniel was simply kind enough to edit out the majority of it that was so masterful, our simple non-intelligent neanderthal brains couldn't handle it.

Wait. He said “it sounded better yesterday”, when it was at 1 am earlier that morning. Things aren’t lining up here
When I say "yesterday" I usually mean "before I went to sleep" so the time after midnight but before I went to bed is still "yesterday" for me. Like if it's 12:10am I don't say that suppertime was yesterday, nor do I say that the next morning is today. A day is the unbroken time between waking and sleeping, and arbitrarily breaking that up because "technically it's after midnight" doesn't make much sense.

I think this just proves that the song was clearly longer than a day, and Daniel was simply kind enough to edit out the majority of it that was so masterful, our simple non-intelligent neanderthal brains couldn't handle it.
I just started dying when he played his masterpiece, and the "It sounded better yesterday" is so relateable.
