I loved the white room gag so much! Vignette Valencia isn't my favorite villain, but she certainly is more enjoyable than wallflower blush or juniper montage
The white room gag got me because I noticed the corners and edges before the actual reveal so when they DID reveal it was just a random room I had to pause the special because I couldn’t fucking breathe

I honestly really love the egotistical personality they gave her 😭 and the storyline to this was pretty much one of the most funniest episodes in equestria girls
i think her being annoying is why she’s funny bc watching the special and seeing her act the way she doesn’t is so baffling it’s actually hilarious,, i also think it’s so funny how like the mane 7 basically “reformed” her without her even caring like 😭
Rollercoaster of friendship might just be my favourite piece of Equestria girls content for the Rarijack moments alone, vinnette kinda helped with this special too by being the plot device but almost anything with Rarijack activates the happy hormone inside of me
I adore how unapologetically evil she was: she was perfectly willing to suffocate people to death and enjoy it. She is also gorgeous. Bland character otherwise. You should also analyze the Dazzlings and Cozy Glow! 💜❤️
I get her and the praline woman mixed up. The way you described her makes her sound more evil than I remember. Like a demon in Frieren where they understand morals, neither agree nor disagree, and then proceed to not care and be backwards.

OKAY SO the first time I saw this episode, part way through, I was like "oh I think I see where they're going with this!" I thought Vignette would take pictures of everyone until, near the end, she takes a selfie. Because the whole thing is "the phone/social media is making her detach from what's real and want a fake, safe, sanitized version of everything", and I thought the obvious end point was "and it ultimately destroys your own identity and connection to your true self". And I thought, preemptively "wow, the writers were so clever and profound". And then it didn't end like that, and I was like "oh, huh, okay".
It's actually quite realistic having a villain that just doesn't care. That's the one point I disagree with in the video, she ABSOLUTELY is a villain, if you're doing things without caring or thinking about what that's doing to others that's extremely cruel and sadly extremely common.

Vignette was the inspiration to most of my own OC’s. i also relate to the whole ‘indifferent’ part, if someone came explaining the magic of friendship to me I probably wouldn’t have cared anyway.
I never liked her character at all next to wallflower blush, both characters to me were annoying, even after what happened she didnt even learn anything 😭💀 Very questionable character, shes good but questionable 🧍🏾♀️
Mirror Magic is my favorite special purely because it paired Sunset (my absolute FAVORITE MLP/EG character) with Starlight. I wish it lasted more than 5 minutes. Also, Starlight’s EGs design is my favorite of the crossovers

I really like Vignette for some reason. She was always one of my favorite MLP villains, along with Cozy Glow, Suri Polomare, and the Dazzlings. One thing I liked about her is how it's so funny the way she talks and how I don't understand a thing she says. I also lowkey thought her versions of Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash were cool and I like that they were their polar opposite styles: Fluttershy being a gothy bad girl, and Rainbow Dash being a soft 50's sockhop sweetheart. And to be honest I kinda want to see an alternate version of the Rainbows where all the characters are trapped in Vignette's phone and get these "Throwbacks" hologram counterparts. To be honest, Vignette is one of the characters that you see in one episode or special or something where they are a lot more interesting than the Mane 6/7, and yet, after that episode/special/movie, they never appear again; they might appear again as a background character or a mere reference by name but not in any significant way. I kinda wish we had more screen time for character development for characters like Vignette because there are so many unanswered questions about her like, "What was her childhood like that made her have no friends and find comfort in her online following?" "Why is she so unapologetically evil to believe that she has to trap other people in her phone because they're not 'perfect" enough for her?" "What does she mean when she says 'I wish I had this thing years ago. Think how perfect my life could've looked!'?" I'm sure there are more questions out there like that but those are the ones off the top of my head right now. But yeah, I kinda wish we got to see her some more and learn more about why she is the way she is, like Suri Polomare, Juniper Montage, Wallflower Blush, and Cozy Glow. Though with Cozy Glow, she is a little better than the others I mentioned because at least she gets to appear more than once in the show and does have significant roles in most of the episodes she's in
I kinda wish like after getting so pissed that she really didn't give a sh!t about possibly killing people who simply annoyed her one of the girls just called the cops. Others: What are you doing? AJ: calling the police. Others: WHAT?! AJ: If friendship can't fix her, maybe a little time in the slammer can. Vignette: WHAT?! You can't arrest me! I'm famous!! AJ: You literally thought you were killing my friends and went ahead with it anyways. Vignette: And how are they gonna believe you?! That my phone tried to kill you? AJ: Well all your victims are here and ready to testify. We have proof of evidence for magic on our heads. The crowd also saw what you did and there's also security camera footage of you zapping dash. AJ in equestria has helped put trouble shoes in the slammer. I wouldn't be surprised if in the past she's called the popo breaking into her family farm's property (if she has one)

Can I just go on a tangent and just say how stupid all of vignettes changes are like she turned Rainbow Dash into a 1960s sweetheart she turned Twilight into some random guy who smokes weed and live with his mom she made Fluttershy goth and then she made Rarity look like some random who is famous in the 70s for something don't know what order some random guy who has a lot of money and does nothing good with it and also she made Sunset Shimmer to some sort of Toddlers and Tiaras pageant Queen what is this know these things even go well together like what was her vision I have characters that all kind of clash as a unit but they look a whole lot better the this mess like it's just So Random and so stupid I'm just laughing looking at those terrible outfits that don't go together at all
That’s the point though!! Vignette only pays attention to algorithms and likes, she doesn’t have any kind of actual vision ! She’s successful because she pays attention to numbers and recognises what is trendy, but when it comes down to it, she’s actually not talented at all regarding creativity and art
I was just basically unpacking how weird vignette is of a person because she literally wanted all of the rainbooms to be wearing different outfits that all class together and didn't even make any sense like if you get had no fee when it came to the costumes she put the rainbooms in like we have Rainbow Dash as a 1960s sweetheart then we have Twilight as some random dude who sleeps on his mother's couch and has cheated us all over his fingers and is also a hillbilly and then Sunset Shimmer's some sort of toddler than Tiaras pageant Queen I was just kind of unpacking how weird it is but I don't actually hate that the show had them wearing that for when vignette replace them I actually think it's pretty funny and I just wanted to kind of go over how to get his kind of weird as a person cuz she doesn't even have a theme for these girls
She was right about Fluttershy in black and skulls, you know- She's a big Skullcruncher fan! And with Fluttershy as such a classic weeb, (I mean, I assume that carries over into Eqg from her pony counterpart) if she had been nicer about it, the two could have absolutely collaborated on the look. Vignette just freaked her out so bad with her aggressive fashion-ing that she went all deer-in-headlights
Roller coaster friendship is garbage in my opinion I will never own it on DVD. Also, the unlucky tug and the narrow gauge engines are not going to like this.
