  • In this video, I show you how to set up DWIN displays for a basic operation. I created this video and article mainly because I don’t want to explain the same things at the beginning of all of my videos in the DWIN Display Tutorial video series. After watching this video and understanding its contents, you will be able to create and upload content to your DWIN displays.

    hello everything is fine? I was looking for some tutorial to learn how to use the Dwin display, I watched your videos and I managed to do the basics and I was very happy. But I'm starting to do a course completion work project. This work is for me to finish my course. I need help from someone who understands well because it is a very specific use. If you can help me, would there be a way for me to talk to you?

      Hi! It depends on the complexity of the issue. You can hire me as a consultant. But maybe first you should try to read the handbook of the display and the DGUS software.

    Hello, Great video, I appreciate the time and effort to make such video, I have an question, and I hope you can help me, does the DGUS have a option to do a delay and change screen or icon? for example when a button is pressed it change screen and it return to the previous screen after a couple of seconds, or change the button icon and return to the previous one, like a delay or a timer, i could not find anything like that, thanks.

      Hi! I think you have to program this logic on the microcontroller.

    Sorry to add as another question, RUclips is trick to be notified with sub thread, thanks for your answer, i can do this via MCU for sure, so do you know how to request page change via microcontroller ?

    • @CuriousScientist
      @CuriousScientist  Год назад

      Sure, just send the new page's ID to the serial port. It must be in the documentation, read it. I cannot memorize 16 characters so I don't know the exact command from the top of my head. :)

      Probably you don't follow the instructions correctly.

    Mine won't display. It was before on vertical mode. And now it shows only half of my made image. Any help?

      Your images are in the wrong resolution. You need to create images with the correct aspect ratio too...

    I'm getting a stobing effect on the display and no touchscreen. It's a newer vyper LCD (marked zwlf043_001) and I'm running DGUS_V7.641. Do I need to do something different or use a different tool to get a functional system?

    • @CuriousScientist
      @CuriousScientist  Год назад

      Hi! I do not really know how to work with the display when it is a part of a hardware such as a 3D-printer. The DGUS toolkit should be enough to configure the display properly. Are you sure that you selected the exact type of the display, had the correct resolution and other parameters properly set in the config?

    • @bobkuhn8977
      @bobkuhn8977 Год назад

      I found absolutely zero info when I searched for zwlf043_001 so I can't say for sure what it's specs are.
      I do have a non-touch DMC80480C043_02WN. The files generated per this tutorial display correctly on it. The DWIN_SET provided by Anycubic for this printer display properly on both. They have the same PCB. I swapped PCBs and the behavior followed the LCD.
      Is there a newer version than V7.641? That's what is on the DGUS download page. I've seen some comments about a V8.2 but I haven't been able to find it.

    I couldn't download .hzk file in display.What might be the problem ?

    • @CuriousScientist
      @CuriousScientist  Год назад

      Do you mean that you could not _upload_ the hzk file to the display? Was there an error message on the blue screen that indicates the uploading process? Did you make the correct font file and named it correctly?

      Try to regenerate the file. Also, make sure you formatted the SD card correctly.

      Still I am facing the same issue.Will there be any problem in the memory of the display? Do i have to clear the memory? Where is the CFG location?@@CuriousScientist

      Everything you upload to the display is done via the files that you put in the DWIN_SET folder of the SD card. I don't know why the screen is not behaving as expected. Try directly contacting DWIN to get some better information about the issue.
