    Do you say "Sherbert" or "Sherbet"? I know "Sherbert" is incorrect, but it's been hard-wired in my brain since I was a kid. LOL. If you liked this video, you might like this pineapple sorbet recipe as well: ruclips.net/video/CJR3l8ru3CM/видео.html

      I've always spelled it correctly but been pronouncing it sherbert for 60 years so I know where he's coming from.

    What's the reasoning behind the lemon and vinegar? I've noticed that the Creami recipe book also has you add lemon for it's black raspberry is the vinegar to break down the peaches?

      The vinegar adds a little tartness to the mix. It gets counteracted by sweetener, so they balance. The lemon juice actually does about the same thing, but I juts have it in there for a tiny bit of lemon flavoring.

    Is there a reason why you are not using any guar or xantham gum in your recipes?

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  3 месяца назад

      If you do them in the creami, you don't really need that stuff as much, since the machine is doing all the work, and the ice cream won't be scoopable anyway before processing... When I make ice-cream in my compressor churning machine, I use the xantham though so it doesn't freeze too hard. Using that stuff in the creami might help alstho though, if you have a tenancy to get crumbly results.

    Hi Joe, Enjoy your videos. But, I wish you'd give more info on each ingredient's macros. Like in this Sherbet recipe, since I'm wanting low carbs, if I were to NOT have the Sugar Free Cone, what would be the carbs on that cone? And what are the Carbs for the 3 fresh peaches? Also, what is the purpose of the White Vinegar? Thanks.

      Sure... I can start expanding on that in the video descriptions... I have to calculate it anyways! The Enlightened cones have 3g pf net carbs per cone, The med. peaches have about 8g of carbs each, so that would be 24g for the 3 peaches, but it would end up at 4g per scoop. In the recipe macros I assumed 2 scoops per serving with 3 servings in the recipe. The white vinegar adds a little bit of tang to the mix. Just more of a personal preference that I think tastes nice. It doesn't hurt the recipe to leave it out, though.
