How to use the new paths feature in Rebelle 7 - how to import paths, how to manipulate them, how to remove, how to apply paint etc how to use new vector features
Clip Studio has "Copy as SVG" so it may work, as well. Yes, a Pen Tool in Rebelle would be very helpful. I'd also like to see closed paths be convertible to selections. That might actually be much more useful than what they currently offer.
thank you, appreciated. The tutorials will only be basic version ones, I am not using the pro version - so there will be no tutorials on the new metallic feature (which does look good)
Hey, if you don't mind, try out the feathered selection feature. I was excited about it. The problem i see with it is that it is basically destructive to your selection. In other words you can feather your selection but you can't undo the feather once set. I inquired on the forum and the main man "peter"? Said that's the way it works. I am thinking other programs allow return to original selection.
is that a new feature as well ?? I must admit, I have never used the feather before in Rebelle. I agree, odd that the feathering seems to be one way only, as you say, reduce it down doesn't help !
Yes, Unfortunately I don't have rebelle 6 to check so sometimes features that are now new in 7, I start wondering, was that in 6 and I just never noticed it ! I saw the edit menu selection / feather, works in an odd way though but it does create some interesting designs all the same. Will try and do some videos on it ! Got a few Affinity Ones in progress at the moment but will get back to Rebelle, too many good new features all at once
This might sound harsh But maybe your explanation of how importing paths doesn't work should not be longer than the part explaining how it actually does... was so confused for a good minute
I know, sometimes I do spend a little too long on the setup. I have never totally mastered the best approach. You say that, sometimes a tutorial intro can be about 5 minutes of waffle about the channel and then onto the subject - I continue to ponder how best to do these videos and after about 10,000 or so, you would think I would have sorted it out

Yes, it would be great to see a paths to selection feature, one perhaps for Rebelle 8
The button between the svg library button and the remove button is an import svg option
thank you for the information. Hopefully I described it somewhere in the video as such but if not, sorry
Nice, I wish Affinity had that feature. I've always wanted something like a snap to path while painting feature.
that would be a nice addition to Photo etc, I agree
This is the first time I'm hearing about this app :)
Me too. Looking forward to tutorials, best ones on YT ❤
It is a very good application, there are two versions, the basic as well as pro

@@Graphicxtras1 yes. I believe it is new for rebelled 7. I had to inquire how to use it. Once a selection is made it is under edit/ selection/feather.
