Gemmy Rob Zombie Michael Myers FULL Restoration | Part 2 | Spirit Halloween

This is the second part of my multipart series of the full restoration of Spirit Halloweens 2009 Gemmy Life Size Rob Zombie Michael Myers Animatronic Prop Decoration. This item when purchased had a ton of problems, with only the audio working, but I will be attempting to fix all of it!
In this video, I work on fixing the eye movement and creating my own mount due to all of the broken wires I had to fix.

I definitely recommend replacing those split gears. If the Split becomes worse the gear could lock up the mechanism which could cause the motor to short out and that can lead to circuit board issues. Also when you replace the gears make sure you reapply grease

@@decorationdude I agree! In part 3 I did end up replacing all of the gears that were broken. The thing about the grease is that there is so much excess originally in the mechanism that more isn’t needed.

@@timeflyhalloween sweet. I still highly recommend replacing the grease. These Gemmy props are now around 12-15 years old and the grease can become a little sticky over time. It is also never good to put a dry gear in a mechanism that may be why your count vigor broke. It is a very common practice to replace the grease anytime a gear has to be replaced in the Halloween industry they go hand and hand.

how do you fix a mechanism for evil scientist? his turning mech as a split/cracked gear but still works but just makes a loud buzzing as shown on my channel. do you how to fix it? please dude he’s my 1st ever animatronic i own😢

Hey there, since you uploaded a video about you getting your Cotton Candy Dan broken, I contacted the zombie squad team and they were able to fix mine because it also came broken like yours. I know you returned yours, but I don’t understand how come they didn’t fix yours?
