The reason why his arm doesn’t raise up and down is because he has a split 10 tooth gear that needs to be replaced. His arm was able to move at first time because the hand wasn’t attached. Once you replace that gear the arm will work perfectly fine.
My mom has one. I was just over there trying to raise it up. It's like 4 feet tall but nothing I do will raise it to it's full height. Does it only get taller via a motor or can I manually do it? I only spent a few min on it but any tips would be great. It was two metal poles with springs on the inside.
@@Anti-GroomerHey I had the same issue. Just keep pulling him up and eventually he will be to his full height. I would recommend collapsing him again and then fully bring him up you have to pull hard but not too hard because you don’t want to risk him breaking.
@@justahalloweenhaunter5272 Thanks. Do I have to push or button or pull a lever or something? I tried securing the base with my foot, grabbing his upper body and lifting straight up and he didn't move an inch. It seems like there is a little play maybe on one side of his body but not the other.
I got a Jason from the same era. Do you know how to release the lower springs? The top comes down pretty easy but the but barely budges. The lower springs are compressed fully the top spring are not. What do you think?
@@kcbroncohater to pull it up fully, you take your foot off the button, and put your foot on the base to hold it down. Then grab the shoulders or waist and pull it up as high as you can and it’ll click into place
That doesn't work. I can move the lower frame by pulling down on it. It only moves a 1/4" so it is not stuck. There is something holding it. On the left shaft.

@@HalloweenHunters Hey thanks a lot! It's the 2005 model. I've tried to just physically lift it while stepping on the base but it is stuck. I've looked and felt around on the inside - two pipes with springs - but I didn't see anything obvious. He still makes noise but he looks kind of silly being so short.

Good repair
Thanks! Hope to make a quick update video when I fix the sound!
nice repair, you should definitely make a restoration vid on that michael.
44:13 do you still have the two plastic “blades” that the chain sits on? I’m in search of some replacement ones if you’d sell the unused ones!
Damn I did but sold them a while ago
@@HalloweenHunters No worries! Thanks for the fast reply!
My motor no longer works, any idea where to get another one?

Maybe check the bottom to see if the shipping pins are still in
No I have had it for years. How do you get yours to stand up fully? That means that the lower springs are not compressed.
