I know this video is old now but I have always wondered why people were against gaming at 1080p on a larger monitor because growing up we played PlayStation on a 1080p tv just fine.
Just got one of these in a black friday frenzy for 220€ mainly for the curved 32" wow factor. Started googling after purchace ;D Now waiting for delivery due next week. Thanks for the review! A bit more hopeful now, that wasn't a complete waste of money, but have to wait and see.
I am about to buy it right now for £218 on amazon UK, after more than 5 hours a day of research in the last three days. I was looking at sim racing/drifting, but also cs go capabilities. I can finally take a break since today is my last chance to get it, and I don't think I will choose another one.
@@erhmmmmcat1 The screen is holding up well, i use it to watch movies aswell the higher rate is really nice and makes things more fluid. On games with graphics that are more "simple polygons" like in WoW, the movement has a lot of clarity that is hard to find on games with very complex graphics and a lot of shaders etc, but the fuilidity is still there. Limited to 1080p but tbh with nicer looking opts it would drain a lot of power to keep some high res. I've put my parents driving in ACC (racing sim) and they became nauseated because they saw the movement but didn't feel the gravity of it. When I see my GF's small 15"laptop screen it feels "deformed" to my eyes and the perception of distance feels strange for some seconds, then want to put my eyes really really close to it, where in this curved 32" i don't feel the need to do that for obvious reasons. GL HF
@@RyaNewGame thanks man. my only current frustration is not having a 48" or 53" version of this screen. the 240hz is kinda overkill, 144hz would be enough already. but the 0.5ms for sim racing is great. i hate to see when people move the steering wheel and the screen wheel lags behind really hard. if you have a lower force feedback wheel, like a Logitech G923 or anything under 5nm of force. the FFB is not the only driving queue. Visual connection with high fps will make you drive faster on the limit. I can't imagine people that play with TVs or any other kind of "slow screen" like some cheap 4ms screens I've seen. any game with fast reactions tbh.
I got this monitor a while ago. Found this video looking for some good settings. Overall, I love this monitor. The only downside I’ve found, the stand takes up a lot of desk space. A small downside to its many positives

I really liked the video, because there is a part where it talks about first gen and second gen.... There are a lot of videos out there and no one talks about it. When I bought mine I thought it was second gen because I didn't know there was another version very similar. Explo my monitor doesn't go up and down!!!! It only has an up/down tilt, which made me quite irritated.... So when buying, check carefully if this is really the model you want. Congratulations on the video.

I'm thinking about going from a 50" 4k Samsung 60hz/120mr TV to a Asus Tuf 32" 1080p 165hz monitor. I had a 27" 1080p 144hz monitor but gave it to my son because it was a bit too small for me, I'll be pairing it with a 3060. I don't think the resolution is a big deal personally, the smoothness makes up for it.

Yo I know you probably already bought that Asus tuff monitor but the screen WILL BE BLURRY because of the screen to resolution ratio. 32 inch screen does not work well with 1080p.
Nice coverage of details. This one is def bang for buck. Can act as a decent TV-substitue aswell if the films/yt are in 21:9. One thing I didn't see covered is the advantage of running it on an AMD Gpu as the performance software (Freesync) doesn't support Nvidia; there's no G-SYNC.
Another thing: considering the price point. This screen could act as a 16:9 screen aswell, with black bars. Losing a few inches of screen. But still, then you're able to do both 21:9 and 16:9 as needed. Maybe this comes with some problems unknown to me, but from what I've read it should run alright.

I've been using a benq xl2411p for the last 2 years I would say and I didn't feel the need to change it for gaming because I was mostly playing CSGO at 4:3 stretched resolution. But now I got into valorant more and more. And I kinda felt the need for a bigger monitor. The one that I have right now is 144hz 24.5 inch. I was really thinking to get the 27inch curved AOC version but I don't think its gonna be a huge difference in size. I am also playing on a respectable distance from my monitor..Not really a fan of putting my head into the screen like I'm about to fight with it. The only thing that scares me is that the 31.5 inch will fuck up the image on 1920x1080. But again, I'm not really the type of guy bumping out all the settings to max.. I just play competitve games or mmos when I'm tired and want to relax after work. Is the image going to be bad at 32inches ? I know its subjective but I'm really positive about buying this 240hz monitor. Is it gonna make a huge impact on image quality ?

Sometimes some single player titles like assassins creed for example. But I was never going like " Oh this looks too ugly on low settings I gotta play on highest settings possible ". As long as the game runs smoothly I'm fine. I've seen multiple people saying on the internet that 32inches is too much for 1080p, sometimes they say 27inch is also too big. But I kinda need to see the difference myself I guess.
@@Mertissues I got 1 year ago a monitor from LG, 27 inch, 240hz, 1080p, ips panel. Much better than xl2411p. I have them both since I'm having the XL2411p as my secondary now. I'm 100% sure the LG version is much better. For 27 inch, 1080p, I can't really tell if the image is "bad" because of the pixels. I think it fits ok, I never got a moment when I said " oh man, I wish this 27inch display was 1440p " . So... I'm guessing it depends on the person that's using it.
@@gordonhopkins4658 hdmi only supports up to 120hz and the dp supports up to 240hz. Of course you need a pretty decent computer in order to have 240 fps on most games.
Gtx 970 is basically the same as GTX 1060, only difference is that 1000 series are allowed to use G-sync whereas 900 series aren't. So that should answer your question.

Sceptre monitors are very very good. Amd the picture and color on them are absolutely amazing

When it dont have HDMI 2.1 you cant.
The framerate on the monitor is set at the highest by default. All you need to do change to 1440/120hz in your xbox display settings
