Wait, Commander Masters is a TERRIBLE set!? 15 Rares That Should be on Your Radar

I've been hearing left and right on the internet about how bad Commander Masters is. While I understand that the box prices are high, it will still make the game more affordable for us budget bros by dropping singles to all-time lows. I plan on picking up a bunch of singles from this set and these are 15 cards just from the rare slot alone that I'll be personally keeping an eye on. What cards are you guys scoping out? I think the only terrible thing about the set is how it’s been marketed and how pricing (particularly for the precons) has been botched. The cards themselves I think are fine

I agree! However I’m seeing lots of people say the set is actually bad on it’s own like the cards aren’t good reprints, which I think is objectively false. Some of the most played cards in commander are in this set, so I definitely don’t like the price but I can’t see how one can argue the cards are bad lol

Absolutely! We’re still 2 days out from the set and prices are even lower than some of my predictions! Great set for the singles market

Not many ppl say the set is bad, is just expensive and if you are expecting to recover what you spend in a box it's unlikely to happen.

I hate the cartoon look. What the fuck is that? I started playing magic because it seemed like a game for adults. With all the graphic art and technical aspects. But the past few years, it seems like they're trying to market this game to 5 year olds and it seems like they're just trying to milk every penny out of us as possible. Instead of making the game more enjoyable for its players. They want to market it to as many people as possible and screw the quality of the game

That’s a fair point, I happen to like most of the borderless and wacky art but to each their own
