I'm getting paid to get the summer body of a lifetime! one thing I would def add, is eat... like a ton... I have gone through the carbs like lightning. i already had a high metabolism, so i learned instantly that i will die if I am not constantly eating. also I feel so lucky that at my hub, we have a water and ice machine right there ready to go. oh and i have learned that CERTAIN companies that USE FEDEX are.... not getting a penny out of my paycheck XD. all in all im thrilled with my experience so far. it's just what i needed to get me all pumped to getting that sweeet sweeeeet "employee of the month" certificate! btw i got that direct deposit on fleek lol,
What kinds of things have caused ppl to get fired ? What if they deliver a package to the wrong house, do they get 1 more chance or do they get fired ?
Tbh I hardly ever saw people get fired Usually it was because of altercations with management. Most people just quit, you’ll see that way more often than getting fired
I’m honestly not sure Apparently FedEx has a lot of different shifts and hours The most common is the 4 or 5 hour shift for PT If it sounds good for you as a side income, take it James!
Bathroom breaks 😭😭 That’s a great JOKE Brooklyn But essentially you go when you absolutely have to, but just know if a truck is coming down heavy or a lot of work is coming in ... bathroom break will be the last thing your managers will have in mind for you
How do you switch from load to unload for peak season. My managers in Connecticut are uncoordinated and make it difficult for me to switch. I don’t wanna quit but I’m not doing load for peak season
Speak to your area manager and say you’d like to facilitate that change.. after that I’m not sure ....last resort just clock in and go to unload side and start working ( don’t say I told you to that tho 😂)
I also worked midnights for FEDEX Ground. I resigned after 4 days of working. In my opinion, it isn’t worth the money. You basically are getting paid to do intense lifting exercise for hours at a time. No phones in the building, no music (understandable because you don’t want to get hurt if distracted) On my third day of orientation, there was a guy who was supposed to be a trainer teaching me. He didn’t know how to load the trucks. My location was very unorganized. If you are willing to break your back, knees and bones for $16 an hour then go ahead. Otherwise wouldn’t recommend this job.
Fortunately I start at 330am for training in about 2hrs for 23 currently until Christmas seasons over then its 21 I'm in preload for local trucks I can imagine it's gonna be shit work since it's physical but I plan on getting my CDL in the meantime
To be quite honest Robles, I don’t remember. You may be able to view this information on their website, I never really paid attention to benefits while working there.
@@exantusdayinalife cool. I applied about a week ago, and today got a text message from them with a yes and no interview survey did that. Then they sent me a email with stuff to type out and send for a background check. Filled that out, now I guess wait.
I’m honestly not sure 🤔 If you mean 12 noon to 11 pm, then that’s an 11 hour shift and I’ve never personally heard of such a shift. But then again each warehouse is different. Be sure to ask management questions.. and get that money Mohr 💵
People are quitting because they're not getting paid enough to do the job that they have to do $500 I'm guessing that's after taxes right if you're not working weekends
Yes, it’s around that amount if you work in the NY or Jersey areas (If you don’t work weekends) That’s why this job is a starter job, not too many requirements to get in and make some money.
@@exantusdayinalife a heavy physical requirement is a lot for most people if your body's broke down before you even get your first check I've been that's a pretty healthy price to pay
If you’re full time during seasonal ( NY , NJ ) you’re asked to come in 6 days until peak season is over But for the most part in general, you’ll work 5 days
More than Likely no, since they will have to layoff the hundreds of temporary workers they hired... but, if you get familiar with management, do a decent job and show up on time, you could get a permanent position.
Also, they don't provide gloves? When I worked at amazon they had vending machines of PPE/Work gloves with grip/Work equipment/Pain Killers/etc and they had water stations everywhere and we would get a 20 minute break after like 3 hours ... Is it like completely different at fedex?
@@exantusdayinalife I mean... Honestly, at amazon, I was putting in so much work that I never actually took my breaks anyway so I guess in that regard i'll be fine. I'll just bring snacks like you said!
From all the recruiting websites I’ve seen, FedEx usually pays a little more than amazon ( $15 -$17) however, Amazon does offer higher benefits (If that’s important to you in your choice between the two).
If you’re full time you’ll be able to enroll in their health plan pretty soon after you start. I got my benefits package letter sent to my mail a few weeks after my orientation. ( I’m FT) For part time, you’ll have to wait 90 days to have access to FedEx benefits.
Being a driver has its perks until you live in New England and have to deal with blizzards or getting a ghetto route. The drivers here at my location work anywhere from 8, to 10 or 12 hours a day. No thanks 👎🏻. I’m set with 35 hr weeks

I have no criminal history. When can i expect to get a call back? Right now it’s Tuesday so it’s been 4 days now.
Your'e probably hired my friend. For me, it only took 3 days for them to call back so I'm not sure about how long it'll take for you. But FedEx is hiring like CRAZY right now so you should be fine
Nate TalksAlot I hope so, the pay is good and the benefits later on. Great video btw. Very informative
They should call u for orientation
Vv K how long after the background check did they call you for orientation?
Nate TalksAlot oh, one more thing. I applied in September and the ad said it was a part time position, there was no mention of it being a temp position. I know they start hiring in October for Temporary peak season. You think they would still consider me a regular part time even IF I’m hired in October?
I'm just looking for some side money. They offered me M-F 5:30 - 9. I'm still debating if I should take it cuz I got orientation on Monday and don't know if physical jobs would be for me even though I'm pretty fit..
Physical or not, it’ll only be 4 hours bro
If you manage your rest properly and pace yourself, you’ll be fine.
If it’s side money.. go get it!💰
Well if ur only going to work 3.5 hours. Just do it. That’s less than half a shift
I applied wednesday last week got a call for an interview the next day and on friday i had an interview over the phone and only asked me like 5 questions and at the end of the interview he told me he was gonna call me in a week or so once my background check was good so that means im hired?
Most likely my friend! The only reason I say that is because they need EVERYBODY they possibly can hire before this holiday season kicks in!
Nate TalksAlot just got the call today i have orientation on tuesday at 8am ✌🏼
He's right about alot when comes to fedex ground alot alot weight involved continuous packages I work at fedex ground peak right now im full-time I work 2 shifts which are 5 hours apiece it's not bad you need dress in layers while it's cold get very hot really fast in the trucks not cold it's alot physical work running around promise you will stay busy you will hert no matter your age it's not bad place managers do care alot more than people claim but it's not easy not for everyone
Is the job like ez in terms of knowing what to do like what do you do mainly
Very
Just tiring at times
sweet thanks man
You still working there? I’m about to start my first night tonight at Newark airport.
I’m no longer working there J. I’ve found a better opportunity in my field of study.
Hello! I’m doing my work tour tomorrow for fed ex express as a material handler. Do you think your advise for a package handler would benefit a material handler also?
A little different, since you won’t be in a truck. Still pace yourself and hydrate tho. That’s most important 👌🏾
do they send your checks in mail for first pay?
got through my first 3 weeks and holy cow... this is defiantly NOT a job for the weak of heart! its so much work, but the way i see it? I'm getting paid to get the summer body of a lifetime! one thing I would def add, is eat... like a ton... I have gone through the carbs like lightning. i already had a high metabolism, so i learned instantly that i will die if I am not constantly eating. also I feel so lucky that at my hub, we have a water and ice machine right there ready to go. oh and i have learned that CERTAIN companies that USE FEDEX are.... not getting a penny out of my paycheck XD. all in all im thrilled with my experience so far. it's just what i needed to get me all pumped to getting that sweeet sweeeeet "employee of the month" certificate! btw i got that direct deposit on fleek lol,
Yes sirrrr!!!
Thanks for the comment!
And yes ... FedEx is pretty much a gym replacement tbh😂
But you get a check💰
What kinds of things have caused ppl to get fired ? What if they deliver a package to the wrong house, do they get 1 more chance or do they get fired ?
Tbh
I hardly ever saw people get fired
Usually it was because of altercations with management.
Most people just quit, you’ll see that way more often than getting fired
Can you do weekends only
I've been working at FedEx ground for 6months and my still ain't adjust to the work 💀🥺🤣
Sounds tough Clarke, make sure to appreciate those tiny moments when work is slow ... cuz that’s all you got
Love the honesty and tips on this video!
You’re welcome Ken !
I have orientation tomorrow . Will I get drug tested ?
There were no drug tests administered at my orientation. But if you come to work intoxicated, you’re fired on the spot.
question how is the hours? Bc my friend said he work 3am-9am
I’m honestly not sure
Apparently FedEx has a lot of different shifts and hours
The most common is the 4 or 5 hour shift for PT
If it sounds good for you as a side income, take it James!
When is the perfect time to discuss vacation time ?
Tbh... you don’t got no vacation
Unless you’ve worked there for over 6 months I believe you aren’t even eligible.. but check with your manager on that one
@@exantusdayinalife preciate it
How often do you get bathroom breaks? Sounds like you’re working constantly.
Bathroom breaks 😭😭
That’s a great JOKE Brooklyn
But essentially you go when you absolutely have to, but just know if a truck is coming down heavy or a lot of work is coming in ... bathroom break will be the last thing your managers will have in mind for you
@@exantusdayinalife Bro but if you’re drinking so much water, you’re going to have to go right? I don’t get it! LOL
Exactlyyy 😭
The “hold and wait till you clock out” method is your best play
@@exantusdayinalife That sucks man. Sounds like misery. I’m going to have to sip my water.
How do you switch from load to unload for peak season. My managers in Connecticut are uncoordinated and make it difficult for me to switch. I don’t wanna quit but I’m not doing load for peak season
Speak to your area manager and say you’d like to facilitate that change.. after that I’m not sure
....last resort
just clock in and go to unload side and start working ( don’t say I told you to that tho 😂)
Nervous but this video chilled me out a good bit
I lost 20 pounds my first month just because the volume and they had me on belt lines doing HD a couple times by myself majority of my shift :(.
A whole 20 pounds !? 😂
At this point FedEx is your gym sis
Great video, very informative! Do you know about the tuition reimbursement program?
Thanks! I’ve heard about it, from what I can remember I believe it was $1,500.
Some fedex won't let you bring your phone in
I also worked midnights for FEDEX Ground.
Thanks for sharing your experience
Fortunately I start at 330am for training in about 2hrs for 23 currently until Christmas seasons over then its 21 I'm in preload for local trucks I can imagine it's gonna be shit work since it's physical but I plan on getting my CDL in the meantime
Do you need truck or any kind of driving job experience in order to get hired?
No prior experience is required JC
Been at fedex for almost a year easy job good pay just hate working Saturdays and Sundays lol
Weekends be a bit slow at my hub.
But it’s an extra $3 so I can’t complain 🤷🏾♂️
Do you have a locker, where you can put your items?
I had one, but rain got in so ever since I leave my personal items in a bag and place it on the hooks near the work areas.
do they require u to wear their uniform or can u wear whatever u like?
Whatever you’d like, under the condition that it is appropriate and safe for the workplace.
Thanks so much for this video🙏🏿 This helped so much. I start tomorrow🤞🏿
You’re welcome Jay!
While you’re working over there, start scheming on what’s next, what’s the better and bigger opportunity.
@@exantusdayinalife oh yeah that’s what I’m about to do. In 6 months I plan to be somewhere else that is if my body is still in tack🥲
GREAT VIDEO THANKS YOU GOODNESS 🌟 DAPHNE COTTON ALWAYS 💜
Dam I start at 2 in the afternoon and come out at 6 only 4 hours but fuck it a job is a job lol
How are you liking it so far
@@jazs2300 it’s good tbh
@@ozzyzwrld2011 good to hear!
Thanks boss I have orientation coming up
You got it Bronson!
Be ready to work, it’s peak season and the job is getting busier as we get closer to holidays!
Nathan, thank you for this video. What about tuition reimbursement? How much is it and how soon do you start your eligible for it?
To be quite honest Robles, I don’t remember. You may be able to view this information on their website, I never really paid attention to benefits while working there.
@@exantusdayinalife I appreciate your response. I found it. $1,500 a year.
It’s gona be my first day today hopefully all goes well. have a good day friend ✌️
Welcome to FedEx Victor! Take it easy during you’re first week cuzzz it’s tougher once you’re just starting out! 😂
Nate TalksAlot yea it’s a workout energy drinks come in handy but man it’s a hassle 😂 lol
Do fedex provides you the steal toe boots?
No sir, you’ll have to order yourself one from Amazon or another retailer. Should be able to get yourself a decent quality one for around $100
Monday is my orientation I'm nervous 😔
It’s natural. But hey, if you’re going to orientation then you’re most definitely hired so atleast there’s one thing to feel good about.
Can u tell one thing plz they're asking any question in orientation.
They don’t really ask you anything.. it’s just an informative session tbh
Hey, how was orientation?
@@exantusdayinalife oh hi yeah it was great.and I just came back from FedEx.. today is my first day of training
Did you go through the door or temp?
I went through Workforce 1
Is health insurance provided? For full time employees at least?
Yes , definitely for full time
Your employee benefits package should be mailed to you a few weeks (or less) after hire
@@exantusdayinalife cool. I applied about a week ago, and today got a text message from them with a yes and no interview survey did that. Then they sent me a email with stuff to type out and send for a background check. Filled that out, now I guess wait.
Only a matter of time before the checks start coming in. Use that money wisely my guy 💪🏾
Thanks for the comment
Thanks today was my first day!
Get that check🤑!
How was it? I'm about to go in in a week ... what will I be expecting? 😯
I’m about to start full time is the schedule noon- 11 accurate?
I’m honestly not sure 🤔
If you mean 12 noon to 11 pm, then that’s an 11 hour shift and I’ve never personally heard of such a shift. But then again each warehouse is different. Be sure to ask management questions.. and get that money Mohr 💵
do they drug test at orientation? And they told me i have a two day orientation is that a thing?
No drug test according to my knowledge and experience. If you can lift a box... FedEx wants you!
And I have heard of orientation lasting 2 days so yes, it’s a thing
you’re so smart. thanks .
Cool video, lots of information. Big thanks 👍🚚👍
Sure thing man!
Let me know if you have any video suggestions
What do you have to bring with you when you go for training?
They’re going to require passport social and any state ID you have ( for example license ) to verify identity and etc
@@exantusdayinalife okay thanks! and what are the clothing requirements could we wear hats boots etc?
@@exantusdayinalife I also was wondering do we have to work on major holidays if we want too like thanksgiving etc?
Where whatever you’d like, so long as it’s appropriate for work
You don’t HAVE to..... but you get paid time and half for the whole shift so .. go get that check sis! 🤑
People are quitting because they're not getting paid enough to do the job that they have to do $500 I'm guessing that's after taxes right if you're not working weekends
Yes, it’s around that amount if you work in the NY or Jersey areas (If you don’t work weekends)
That’s why this job is a starter job, not too many requirements to get in and make some money.
@@exantusdayinalife a heavy physical requirement is a lot for most people if your body's broke down before you even get your first check I've been that's a pretty healthy price to pay
How many days off do you get in a week? 2 or 1?
If you’re full time during seasonal ( NY , NJ ) you’re asked to come in 6 days until peak season is over
But for the most part in general, you’ll work 5 days
Do u get to keep the job after peak season?
More than Likely no, since they will have to layoff the hundreds of temporary workers they hired... but, if you get familiar with management, do a decent job and show up on time, you could get a permanent position.
Thanks Nathan! Great info! 🧡
Sure thing LoPal, you’re welcome!
Bro how was peak season was it crazy??
Well it hasn’t begun just yet.. but from what I’ve been seeing lately at work...You’re going need like 3 bodies in a trailer because it gets hectic.
Nate TalksAlot yes indeed especially those tire/ trailers 🥵😴 Just waiting on the cold weather
I’d better bring lots of energy drinks and water, it’s going to be brutal
Do you work in input??
I used to load trucks with packages
no break on a 7 hr shift here is illegal
Not in New Jersey Cj
Also, they don't provide gloves? When I worked at amazon they had vending machines of PPE/Work gloves with grip/Work equipment/Pain Killers/etc and they had water stations everywhere and we would get a 20 minute break after like 3 hours ... Is it like completely different at fedex?
FedEx has vending machines for gloves and snacks.. but about that break.... not so much
@@exantusdayinalife I mean... Honestly, at amazon, I was putting in so much work that I never actually took my breaks anyway so I guess in that regard i'll be fine. I'll just bring snacks like you said!
can u work 10 hours every day?
Ofc you could. You’ll just be working two shifts, so you’ll get a break in between
What’s the chance of seasonal getting permanent part time position after peak season?
Tbh, it’s quite low my friend
Your best chance is to get familiar with management and get to work on time everyday.
How much was the pay y’all I have an interview both at Amazon and Fedex coming up and bruh the pay would decide. Anything less than $14 I’m out😫
From all the recruiting websites I’ve seen, FedEx usually pays a little more than amazon ( $15 -$17) however, Amazon does offer higher benefits (If that’s important to you in your choice between the two).
Sending mad fed ex love ur way sir god bless thanks for the info out bound suny van lines
great video how about health benefits when do they start
If you’re full time you’ll be able to enroll in their health plan pretty soon after you start. I got my benefits package letter sent to my mail a few weeks after my orientation. ( I’m FT)
For part time, you’ll have to wait 90 days to have access to FedEx benefits.
Nathan thanks so much !!!!
You should be a driver instead I’m a driver for fedex GroundCloud we work 2 to 7 hours and still make 150 a day you can make 140 to 270 per day
Soon as I get my license, I’m definitely applying!
Being a driver has its perks until you live in New England and have to deal with blizzards or getting a ghetto route. The drivers here at my location work anywhere from 8, to 10 or 12 hours a day. No thanks 👎🏻. I’m set with 35 hr weeks
Sorry to hear that yea everywhere def like me I do 28 hours a week every 6 days
How can you get on as a driver? Is it on the same website as the handler position, I never see it.
Wait...I can’t assault the manager? Never mind I’m out. Nah seriously, thanks for the info
😂 don’t test your luck bro
Nathan has the smarts to be in FedEx Management...
Thanks Mark!
Orientation tomorrow #scared
Itz females in there right?
Honestly, the spot I worked at was almost all men 😅
Yes
I work at that shit and it ain’t nothing like u said bro
Was it better or way worse? And which position are you working?
Great advice! thank you so much
Quick question are we able to listen to music with 1 earbud in or no?
No sir , they want you to be aware of your surroundings at all times so electronics is a no show for FedEx
Nate TalksAlot alright thxs n I also start this Friday lol I’m lil nervous but I believe everything will be fine
Good shit bro!
I appreciate it! I got a new video dropping today
good video you helping me a lot with this
Thanks Jay
Signed up for a 6am-9am shift I can't imagine it's hard. I'd love more hours but the funny thing is the guy called me within the minute I submitted the application XD
Luck of the draw 🤷🏾♂️ still got time to have a second job so you can make extra money
Damn bro I wish I had a shift like that I only had sunrise from 3am-whenever we were done.
@@DonnyBrides good for the early birds
@@K3VG979 oh I love 3am but back when I worked at ground if I wanted full time it would have to be from 10pm-2am and then 3am -whenever we were done I would of preferred 3am -7 or something than 7 -11 idk that would of been a lot better
