    Nice cab Serge! You are such a "patenteux"! The plastic is the most expensive part I guess. Great thing you got a deal on it. Great you got a used heater. Looking for part 3 with the electrical and the heater! We've got 12'' of snow yesterday here. I am behind this year. The snow plow and the blower are not installed yet! I had to remove snow with the grader blade. But I went good! Thanks!

      Thanks Joe and yes the plastic is expensive I paid 2$ a square foot and it 's price range at about 10$ to 15$ a square foot.the thickness is 3/16 of an inch compare to the one you will find at Rona that is 1/16 of an inch.

      @@MRnounoursSQ where did you get the plastic? Sorry did not see it anywhere? Currently building a cab from scratch for my dads new 1705. Will post pics later on. Great job!

      I got it from a friend it's a big roll 63 inch by 64 feet. he both it a long time ago from a company that make sing and the roll was 1000 feet maybe more . I was lucky to have the rest of the roll.But every place that have glace repair for car they sell those plastique or at the hardware store.At the hardware store here any way they only have 1/16 to 1/8 of a inch. you will find the thicker plastic at auto glass repair shop.But here at my local hardware store a piece of plastic 1/16" X 2' X 4' is about 70$ it's really expensive and here in my region auto glass repair shop have sheet 4' X 8'.

      @@MRnounoursSQ how thick is your plastic? Would you go thicker?

      3/16 of an inch.
      to thick not sure, didn't ride in rough terrain yet,need to test it too see if the cab will hold on?

    You did a great job on your cab !!! It looks really nice and well sealed. Thanks for showing me your snow blower adjustable skids. Mine is not like that. It has skids on the sides but they are not adjustable. So my height gauge helps a lot when blowing. I plowed this morning but not enough snow to need the blower. A really nice job on your cab. You should be proud of your work!!!

    To the man that made his own cab for the Massey Ferguson GC1710 you did a good job making that cab. When you built it you should've ran the heater core from the top of the cab and more so to the front of the cab. Because you get so hot like you talked about. You still can do it but when you do that then you will need another sheet of steel above the fan and the heater core so it acks as a cover on top. Seal up 3 sides and one end has to be open so air can get through the heater system. At least you are alot smarter then the people at Massey Ferguson headquarters and factory, because you figured out to be comfortable in Sub-Zero temps in the winter and stay warm on that little tractor, I'll bet if you made alot of them cabs they would sell pretty fast to people like you that don't have a decent cab like you do. But Massey Ferguson headquarters was stupid in the first place by not making the cabs as stardard equipment in the first place and have heaters are air conditioning in the cabs right from the start. On all tractors metal body and real glass windows on the cabs. Cabs should be standard equipment period on all tractors.

    Nicely done, Serge....nicely done. I priced those cabs for the GC1710 about a year ago from Curtis Cab and they want over $4k (USD). If you remember, George had a Curtis cab put on his GC1720 then traded the GC1720 tractor for a larger tractor. George (Finger Lakes Farm) loved the cab and I think he showed a video moving snow. You saved a bundle making your own cab and did an exceptional job. Dang...all the angles. Can't wait to see it in action.
    Sois prudent mon ami et reste au chaud 🚜😊.

      Tanks, I remember the video George up loaded here the price is 8000$ CA plus taxe plus installe.In all you end up paying 10 000$.It's a real joke. Yes the angle I didn't find it hard to build it was long for all the angles. But it was fun that the kind of work I like to do build things like that.

    if you blocked off the air intake under the steering wheel, how does the engine get air? I know tektite who makes a cab for massey says they dont do the cab air tight for this reason, it needs some air for the engine

    • @MRnounoursSQ

      Inside it's blocked but air flow from the outside.will make a video to explain.

      i just saw that. very similar to a homemade hot water furnace i made in my home. im using one slightly bigger right now homemade attached to my (propane) residential hot water tank. it turns my residential hot water into hot air and the propane hot water tank is very energy efficient. i only have one bill for propane instead of two bills for hot water and heating. : )

    • @MRnounoursSQ
      @MRnounoursSQ  6 лет назад +1

      That cool. Me I'm planing to build a rocket stove boiler, use old electric thank to store de hot water.Use solar panel and batteries for electricity to turn the pump and the fan and finish whit the bills LOL.

      @MRnounoursSQ  6 лет назад +1

      I'm burning wood pellet in my rocket stove and it generate more heat then regular wood lol.Will make a video in the a few week.

    • @613Builds
      @613Builds 6 лет назад +1

      yes hydro electricity is a big one, and its privatized here in Ontario now. i can imagine a propane hot water tank, gutted out, and used for a rocket-stove heat riser. so the rocket stove can heat the water in the tank directly, similar to a propane setup. winter is a good time to experiment with the rocket stoves and make heating videos or off-grid concepts.

    Try not to tee into your radar hose you won't get much heat that way .Run a hose from the of the motor where the little hose is to the heater and back again lots of heat that way

      @@MRnounoursSQ to get heat u need the T adapter that threads in where the temperature sensor goes and then the sensor goes in the T. I purchased mine at the Massey dealer it is a Curtis cab product, they also supply the T that fits in the bottom rad hose for the other line. Thanks for sharing, subscribed, check my channel,I built a cab on my GC 2300 as well
