I both miss and do not miss my first runs in GTFO. So glad you took my recommendation for this game. I am sure I am not the only one to recommend it. I am looking forward to you and the team getting into the thick of it deeper in the rundown.
Damn, seeing you guys struggle is scary, especially since you guys are trained. Fighting monsters is definitely different from fighting people. But it’s also very humbling to see you guys admit defeat. It shows humility and the drive to improve. On the other hand, it’s nice to see you guys face a challenge for once. Pick yourselves up, dust yourselves off ‘cause I really want to see you guys dominate this game. Steep learning curve, but I think you guys will get it. Awesome stuff.
I don't know this game.. I don't know what I'm watching but it's good to see the gang take Ls once in a while. Although, it makes sense that only aliens and creatures can give JTF vigil a hard time. Nice game play G and the gang.. I was so confused and entertained at the same time.
This is what I love to see! Good communication is key in this game. Best advice is reserve your ammo. This game made me realize I was taking ammo for granted.
Enjoyed struggling with my friends trying to play this. Going to enjoy watching this, hope to see yall pick it up and play some more if there's interest.
I just watched your Ready or Not hospital map video and thought, “I wonder how these guys would handle clearing GTFO?” Absolutely fascinating to watch how you guys go through military video games.
I'm very excited to finally see you and the boys cover this game once and for all. There are a lot of maps, guns, and monsters to explore. Hope you have the blast playing it, my man !!
The mix between the sci-fi of the game and the realism of your gameplay makes the viewer's experience absolutely fantastic. PS: but where did Ludi go???
Love the humor when chopper can't get out of the infill "transport". That's just hilarious 😂. At first, I thought maybe chopper was very into his Sierra team character, "whatever the mission is, I just want to fly...."
Its very interesting seeing this because these guys are trained to fight people. Seeing them fight nonhumans is fascinating. Some skills crossover of course, teamwork for instance, but its interesting.
If you ever play this game again (which I genuinely hope you do, as seeing you and your brothers-in-arms take on the eldritch abominations in each of the different levels/maps is entertaining in its own way, and a nice alternative imo to what you usually do), just a few things to note: Those scouts (and their variants), if they pop up, will 1. Have only a brief window of opportunity if they touch you before they go temporarily invincible when screaming 2. If they scream, they can have a chain reaction if there are multiple scouts in the area 3. At the bare minimum, they will summon multiple normal sized enemies, and at times can summon some *big* guys so if you have to go loud, take out the scouts. 4. For other nuances and the scout variants, I do recommend looking them up. The sledgehammer is the only melee weapon that lets you run while charging iirc, but the other melee weapons have their uses (best to look up all 4, the spear you used has the longest range for example, thus letting you melee certain enemies that would be suicidal for other melee weapons) I would recommend looking up a weapon tier list for main and special weapons, as some are definitely better than others (one that stands out to me is the Mastaba R66 revolver special weapon iirc, as the RUclipsr IGP, aka TheIndieGamePromoter, said, and I quote, "the revolver is god-like!" and for some odd reason, I am obsessed with seeing you use it at least once), along with the different enemy types (seeing you guys try to take out all of the different bosses, especially the Kraken, oh yes please)
it is very humbling to see that the mission my rag tag team of friends and i had some difficulty with is shared in difficulty with people who are trained for combat, this shows us that no matter what, unga bunga monsters from another world is always gonna be hard to kill
That was amazing to watch! You guys crushed it. I'm surprised GLID took my suggestion to play GTFO seriously! I thought for sure it wasn't going to happen. I cant take full credit as I'm sure there were many others who also pitched the idea. Cheers guys, and thank you for your GTFO service. The warden will be pleased to have an expert team like you to carry out his missions. Hope there will be more GTFO content to come! *salutes*
This is bad ass bro reminds me of those 90's movies STAR TROOPERS whatever it was called but with tactical realism 😂😂 I can only imagine if we ever encounter a bad alien race this is what would transpire. Godspeed brother thanks for content
I truly and throughly enjoy watching you guys slaying the game ! I mean, the precision, the tactical planning, and the way you guys execute the commands, its just like a clock work ! Thanks for sharing the game play, and keep up the good work ;) !
Nice to see you guys play GTFO! A good way to save ammo is putting a turret pointing at the door at the other side of the room you are in and then foam said door with a foamlauncher or grenade. this way mutants need more time braking thru this door and your turret can hit more enemy´s at once. works really well when you have to do a high class security scan in small rooms. but if you choose the wrong door enemy´s will take, you turret will do nothing. so keeping one turret at hand as backup is always good and if the mutants die before they can break the door you yourself can break it and get your turret back.
I thought that the "security circle" thing was a silly idea at first, but actually, it kind of forces you to adapt your tactics on the fly. Now you're exposed, and you can't just park in a good, defensible position and rain on the enemies from a distance. Chop's character had it right the first time: he got out while the gettin' was good. Nope~! Good show, boys, always a riot with you guys.
Of course it took chucking JTF Vigil into a horror movie style encounter to hand them a loss. Well to quote the Ancestor from Darkest Dungeon "Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer." Though I guess it's the foe you don't know that will get ya.
God, I love this game so much, and i'm so happy to see you guys play this! I love this game BECAUSE its challenging and uncompromising - you guys are really good at what you do, you're great at tactics, but even me with hundreds of hours in this game this game doesn't care - it'll throw curveballs at you and force you to co-operate, communicate and improvise on the fly. Besides, its use of stealth has always made me love it even more. And the deeper expeditions start to get even more creative - and challenging. If you lads ever play this again, not sure if you will, i'd love to see you guys try to get through ALT://Rundown 1, the 'first' rundown of expeditions. And a tip: tentacle scouts don't wake up with running or walking, or flashlights. Sleepers do, but tentacle scouts don't. They WILL wake up with gunshots or if something dies close to it, but running, walking and flashlights only force it to release its tentacles early. So if its alone with nothing else nearby, you can charge a hit, run up to it and through the tentacles and bash its head in!
Wow GTFO on GLID Gaming ? Never thought I'd see this game here but I'm glad. One of my favourite coop game ever ! GLID you NEVER disappoint ! Keep up the good work ! :) PS : A little advice, you can melee the giant ones to save ammo if you can, one need to hit the head and the other ones the back and it's done. PS2 : Another advice, you can melee the scout too ONLY when he's moving by hitting him in the head, it's easier with a spear (better range).
only recently came across your content and was very excited to see if you guys had played this game since, as someone who played this game both co-op and solo (which I only ever finished one expedition solo), I know how much this game rewards team work and coordination. Almost noone would be better at communication than a couple of good marines.
Tell me why i watched this at 11 at night, thank god i don't work tomorrow, im going to be watching out my front door peephole for those fucking sleepers walking down my hallway! Also, the recaps at the beginning, first one no military bearing whatsoever, then a bit more and third you guys finally came back to the military side and that last run was brutal and had me sweating the entire time!
It has now been 2 years since this video came out. Been waiting and waiting to see you continue this game with your brothers-in-arms, especially as it is one of those games that, as you said in this video, "handed your asses to you," (the later levels are far more brutal than this one). Really want to see you and your brothers-in-arms play this game through from beginning to end, including both victories and defeats, and your first encounters with some of the nastier enemies on the lower levels, especially the Kraken. Oh boy do I want to see how you guys react to seeing the Kraken.
The exact same thing happened to my beginner team as well, 2 guys had to run back to get the neonate. The world needs more shooters with this atmosphere!
This video is the one that convinced me to subscribe to your channel. This is one hell of a hard game, and just listening is enough to keep me interested. For some reason, irrelevant somewhat, this video reminds me that one of my great grand uncles served in the 100th/442Rct as a combat engineer.
I've been on a ready or not kick lately since my friends introduced me to it and after watching ur whole series here I am just basically binging ur vids lol. Ur gr8 man keep it up
one suggestion: sleepers in hordes go to you through the fastest way to your place. depending on how you let doors open or closed you can "guide" them so you can control how they behave. also they spawn at least two rooms from where you are when you activate an alarm. another thing is locking a door you know they will pass through and putting the turret out of your room pointing to the closed door. since sleepers ignore the turrets you wont have problems, and the turret not only hinder their advance, also kills them easier since one of their weak points are the back of the head. a mine placed paralelly to the door can kill a bunch of them at the same time since they get crowded while trying to break the door.
I love GTFO, but it's one of those few games that have broken me. I need to collect the pieces and someday I will try again, but for now your gameplay is a nice substitute.
Really cool seeing you guys branch out from just COD clones! Although those are cool too. Would be interesting what other squad games you can apply military tactics to! Ghostbusters, Space Hulk?
The Key in this Game is to keep a Low Profile as long as Possible. Stealth as much as you can, keep your Gun concealed as much as possible and sneak around like an Assasin on the Hunt
Seeing you play a horror game like this. I totally recommend you to try out "SCP PANDEMIC" it's an fps & tactical shooter game. it's on early access though, but until now its already sick to play. You get confront lots of creatures where they were locked up inside a foundation. But an explosion happened and caused chaos in the base. Now those things are out free wondering around the base & your mission is to execute them. Edit: there's also CO-OP Mode & the weapon treatment and movements are just like from "Ready Or Not"
I was wondering what if you guys played this game and how'd you tackle a very foreign environment. Nonetheless I'm always hooked and wish to see more if you guys wanna keep playing it. I always enjoy a good GTFO playthrough.
"they're struggling" IDK, those flying squids are literally gunships. IRL gunships eat squads for breakast unless someone's packing a stinger missile. There aren't any IRL tactics for any fireteam to hold their ground against a swarm of Hinds or Apaches and come out smelling like roses. At that point, it's all up to just "playing the game as is" and using the meta. But still, I'm intrigued to see IRL tactics for such things.... like how does one deal with a theoretical flying gunship drone that can take a good amount of assault rifle rounds before being too damaged to function? How does one deal with the equivalent of guys in ballistic armor when you don't have dedicated armor piercing rounds?
Hey man, Federal Law Enforcement Park Ranger here. Also a veteran of US Army Airborne Infantry. Been watching some of your content. I'm sure you get requests all the time but, I'd love to play with you and the team, as well as get involved with y'all. Let me know if you're interested in setting this up. Thanks brother.

When even military, no matter still in service or veterans, are struggling in a game like this, you know they're meant business, and they're getting personal
Idk if theyre very tactical but watching jackseptieye markiplier muyskerm and lordminion777 might be a good way to learn enemies tactics and types and best ways to handle enemies
When you are using a weapon aiming down sight might be uncomfortable but it greatly increases your accuracy and could make shooting the flyers a cake walk. Just a recommendation
Did you just explain to a Royal Marine Commado that aiming down sight increases accuracy when firing a weapon? Sorry I had too it was too good 😆. Jokes aside, I appreciate you taking the time to comment and help my brother lots of love. 👊🏼
Hey, amazing gameplay! Do you think you want to try SCP 5K maybe? It is more of a swat-like shooter but still mostly with monsters and some mechanics of it's own.
This game is kind of the worst game to play if you're used to stuff like ready or not... You kind of have to use guns as little as possible to avoid wasting your ammo after summoning a swarm
GLID Gaming if you want and have a chance, there this free game call S.T.A.L.K.E.R GAMMA. A solo game with some story elements and open world, perfect for a badass like you. Richard signing off. P.S just joined the Discord and love it stay safe out their commander.
And this is why i will never play this game. Even with a tight knit group with actual tactical knowledge and experience, just barely pulling through. Mad respect to you all
This is like watching real marines being thrown into a sci-fi movie full of aliens
Sooo Kinda like Colonial marines.
I wonder if that’s because it’s throwing real marines in a sci-fi game full of aliens… no no couldn’t be that
Playing this game really need calm, patient, and teamworks! Happy to see this play by you guys. Just like you say *_slow is smooth, smooth is fast_*

You guys need to do R1C1 super action packed with a lot of strategy, this game is crazy
Thanks man 👍🏼
When you are using a weapon aiming down sight might be uncomfortable but it greatly increases your accuracy and could make shooting the flyers a cake walk. Just a recommendation
Nevermind if I payed more attention I would've seen you know that already. Very sorry for the misunderstanding
Did you just explain to a Royal Marine Commado that aiming down sight increases accuracy when firing a weapon? Sorry I had too it was too good 😆. Jokes aside, I appreciate you taking the time to comment and help my brother lots of love. 👊🏼
@@GLIDGaming yup I realized my major malfunction and I will not make the same mistake again sir.
This looks fun.
Hey, amazing gameplay! Do you think you want to try SCP 5K maybe? It is more of a swat-like shooter but still mostly with monsters and some mechanics of it's own.
I will get the guys to make a video just for you keep eyes
This game is kind of the worst game to play if you're used to stuff like ready or not... You kind of have to use guns as little as possible to avoid wasting your ammo after summoning a swarm
agreed
It would have to be something inhuman to take out Glid 😂
GLID Gaming if you want and have a chance, there this free game call S.T.A.L.K.E.R GAMMA. A solo game with some story elements and open world, perfect for a badass like you. Richard signing off. P.S just joined the Discord and love it stay safe out their commander.
Thank you Richard you rock brother 👍🏻
And this is why i will never play this game. Even with a tight knit group with actual tactical knowledge and experience, just barely pulling through. Mad respect to you all
It's so hard
Light em up
