My Haircare Routine (I got a keratin treatment)

- I had this treatment done a few months ago and I have enjoyed how it transformed my hair. There are down sides to the process and after care that I didn’t outline in the video, including my hair feeling dry and damaged on the ends the day I had the treatment done. Since then, I’ve had a trim and removed 1/4 inch of length and my ends are decent. My hair still falls out, like, at a normal rate. At first it was so sleek and flat to my head which looked strange to me but was also cool, since I’m used to having a ton of volume. The wave in my hair has kind of returned over the months but the majority of my texture is straight and frizz free. I am hesitant to do the treatment again, because I think the second time around it could do some marked damage. If you’re interested in doing keratin, watch vlogs on the process, research horror stories and consult with an experienced “keratin” stylist. Xo! Love ya

for any curly girl who is considering a keratin treatment, i implore you to give your curly hair a fair chance for a while before you make a change to your texture. so many girls go for these treatments out of insecurity because our world makes curly girls feel shitty, and our hair can be hard to maintain. i personally think my curly hair is 100% worth these negatives, but you may not think so. even if you decide to go for these treatments, don’t do it out of the insecurity that every curly girl can relate to
People coming for her in the comments need to realize that, at the end of the day it’s HER choice to do whatever she wants with her hair. Curly hair is not for everyone, it’s so hard to maintain and a lot of money and work involved. Some of you might love and accept your curly hair, some won’t. Like i prefer caramel ice cream over vanilla. Just get over it lmao
Maria Victoriaa I haven't seen a single hate comment ,but multiple replying to the hate comments lmao 🤣
@@urtesireikaite9602 there were a Lottttt on her ig post.
aisha ibrahim wow ,thats a shame .I mean ,I do think that her curly hair looked way better on her and that it was absolutely beautiful. But since this is more comfortable and easier to manage for her its absolutely in her choice to have a keratin treatment ,her new hair looks absolutely lovely too
Urtė Sireikaitė The hate comments have probably been removed.
I have really curly hair and tried everything possible to maintain it since I really like it but there was nothing that worked for it, it would look like cotton as soon as it dried, I've tried masks, conditioners, natural remedies, professional stuff but it never got better. I am really tired of keeping my hair in a bun, I've done it for my hole life and I came to the conclusion that keratin is the only solution.
I love my natural hair but it was keeping me from doing fancy hair styles, from just keeping it out of a bun without even touching it if I didn't want to.
What you said about letting people down when you got keratin, that really spoke to me. I grew up with completely straight hair in a family that mostly had curly or wavy hair. And even though I found their hair beautiful, my sisters would like to straighten them and remove the curls. They said it’s because they were told straight hair looked better. I never understood why that was until I realized that having straight hair is much more well-represented in society than other hair textures. I grew up getting compliments for my hair and often got asked if I got treatments, and I was too young to understand the implications of that. I agree that curly hair needs more positive representation. But at the same time, I don’t want you to feel like you can’t do anything else with it.
I think you absolutely have a right to do what you want with your hair. If you feel weighed down by the pressure of representing curly hair, then it’s no different from being pressured to have straight hair. Life goes by quickly, you should do what makes you happy and healthy.
To anyone reading this, curly hair or straight hair or even no hair at all, you are beautiful and stunning! True beauty is always found in happiness and confidence. ♥️
ayame 吹雪 thanks for posting this, growing up I was made fun of for my curly/waves so I always wore it in a bun. It took until after high school to wear just a pony tail but still straightening. Now I’m 27 and finally embracing my curls and trying to repair my curls from all the buns, ponytails, and heat damage.
Well said..!!!
I love this ❤
so accurate and beautifully written. youre such a beautiful person!!
I’m 11 Ik I’m young but ig I’m mature lol. (I watch a lot of news and a lot of change my mind videos). I have curly hair and my sisters have wavy hair like my mom and my hair is less curly than my dad which is like an Afro. My half brother on my dads side also has wavy hair so I’m the only one with curly hair. I get a lot of compliments but it’s such a hassle if it was more manageable I would actually do nice things with it cause I do like half up half downs and ponytails like everyday.
I totally understand why you've gotten the keratin treatment. Having curly hair and trying to maintain it is the ONLY struggle. It's something I've contemplated as well. But I just wanted to let you know that you were successful in making others confident with their hair, and I want to personally thank you for that. Your still beautiful girl!!
Thank you so much this makes me feel better
Maintain curly hair is a struggle for sure, but it's totally worth it for how beautiful the curls are...
@@AlexandrasGirlyTalk but this just confuse me...I have curly hair but it never have grown past my shoulder.. I'm 23 and starting a new job and I'm not confident with my unruly curls.. I've watched lots of your videos to get an idea and also as a source of confidence! HELP ME!
Your hair looks amazing! I’ve been trying to embrace my wavy/curly hair but it’s SO MUCH TROUBLE! I can’t do it all the time. At the end of the day it’s our choice. Our hair. Go curly or straight! It’s YOUR LIFE!
@@teresaangle-young974 Exactly!
From one curly girl to another: GO YOU FOR GETTING THE KERATIN. People without curly hair don’t know the struggle, time, and mental exhaustion taking care of curls can be. Anything to make your life easier and happier . I support you and love your vids!
Athena Yeah, but these treatments can literally cause bald spots. From one curly girl to another.. just learn to love your actual hair, and stop trying to fit a mold.
Doesn’t Matter It’s not about trying to fit a mold, it’s about what makes the person happy and how much time they have to put into their hair. Straight hair is easier to take care of which is why she got it done. She still loves her curly hair but it’s not practical for her day to day life
Doesn’t Matter So when you straighten or dye your hair, you’re fitting a mold? When you put on makeup, you’re fitting a mold? That’s the most insane thing I’ve heard. Why can’t someone get something as small as a keratin treatment without being damned for doing it?
@@UnpleasantSim how self absorbed can you be? one curly girl to another... it's none of your business what someone else does with their hair.
So true
This was a seriously high quality video honestly thought I was watching a commercial at some point!
Sameee,
Pantene vibes
🤣🤣🤣🤣😅
Ultimately what matters is that you feel confident with your hair! It means so much that you wanted to help other girls with curly hair (myself included) but there’s also a point where you must do what is best for you! 💛
I recently got a keratin treatment (similar hair type to yours) it’s honestly the best decision I’ve made and my hair is growing much healthier and faster
Yolanda Davis hi! so i’ve been trying to decide whether or not to get a keratin treatment and i was wondering how long it lasts?? or is a brazilian blow out better?? thx!💕💕
Same! I’ve been doing keratin for 3 years now. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done. It’s a game changer ❤️❤️
@@farahk190 my keratin lasts up to 6mths. It's VERY important to use only shampoos that are sulfate free. Keratin was the best decision I made for my curly hair. Less heat=less damage. You won't regret it. There's a keratin treatment just like a deep conditioner, don't get that cus it won't last. Make sure it's the straightener.
Right? My hair breaks off and I have virgin hair and wash twice a week and just touch up with the straightener but it would never grow past my shoulders until I got keratin! So none of the “how I grow my hair” videos of washing less and less heat and air drying do not work for me. And coconut oil made my hair feel nasty and I washed it out three times. Air drying actually makes my hair break more because it kinks the ends
Candi Simon
Why is it that important to use only sulfate-free shampoos?
I know that sulfates are drying and harsh but does the treatment dry up the hair badly?
Can you please do a video about the pros and cons about the keratin and the process you went through on finding a trust worthy person to do it and also how the price range can be? Some people have quoted me 800 dollars and my hair is about your length and thickness. I got the treatment twice in my past and it never actually took my curl away and gave me what I was looking for. Thank you!! Your hair is gorgeous 😍
ninjareli 800....
wtf it costs like 60-120~ where i live
@@beepboopily6285 wow heaven is so cheap, so jealous.
I herd it causes cancer
Girl it cost me $40 in LA and she left me hair looking bomb! I felt like Nazanin Kavari when she had long hair too lmao
You can do it at home I've always done it myself
at first i was a little disappointed to see you got a keratin treatment. i have such thin fine hair and i would kill for beautiful hair like yours. i was upset years ago when carli bybel got that treatment too. but after you mentioned that it makes your life easier and it makes you happy, then that makes me so happy as well :) its the reason i stopped dying my hair, the maintenance was too much and it was further damaging my hair. glad to see you've found something that makes you happy :)
Jessica Porter hey just wanna know why would you be disappointed? Does keratin treatment happen to damage?
@@aShayProdigyXx I think it's because of changing your appearance. Like love yourself or something. But alexandra had big beautiful curls and I miss that so may be she's saying that too
aShay Prodigy yeah basically I would love if people with curly hair embraced it and obviously Alexandra did for so many years and I guess it just never made her feel happy. I wish curly hair people didn’t feel pressured to do anything to it but that’s society 🤷🏻♀️
Curly hair is a bitch to keep from not looking like a disheveled mess. Not everybody has time to put into curly hair. It looks great on first day but second and third day hair. Plus all that product build up.
@@MsTipsycolada yeah, the upkeep is stressful and (for me) not worth it. curly hair doesn't come out in perfect, ringlet form right out of the shower. i was born with a frizzy, coarse, thick mess. forget about putting it up in a bun or ponytail. forget about maintaining a perfect hairdo right after a workout. what does it result in? frizz. i've tried everything : the curly girl hair method, deep conditioners, leave-in conditioners, going no poo..nothing has worked. trying all these products isn't cheap either.
when i was younger, i was so insecure about my hair - i used to cry in bathrooms because all my friends had this perfect, silky texture that i could never have. these days, i straighten it which makes me happy.
i see people go : why would you ever want to straighten your hair? well, that's why. i don't feel pretty with puffy hair - i feel like a poodle.
I did keratin treatments too. After the 1st one, I was happy with the result. And I ended up doing 3 treatments. But after the last one, I realised that I was loosing lots of hair which had never happened before, even though I used to relax my hair for years. Even if it's called "treatment" it's a very harsh process on hair and hairdressers don't say it. So, everyone won't react the same of course, but this is not something I would recommend.
agree👏 Literally everyone I know that got one suffered from the same thing
I had the same experience! You love it at first, but it damages your hair and makes it fall out. I’d never get one again.
Same!
Finally someone said it!
My friend has been doing this treatment for i think like 2 years(?)
And her hair in down to her butt but half of it is damaged and it doesn't look good at all!
People don't understand that even if it's "treatment" it's still not healthy or natural to hair!
Want healthy and shiny hair? Get your vitamins in,don't use heat or harsh chemicals on it and it'll look great!
True ❤️ chemicl is chemicl atlast
I love how honest she is. She’s always willing to try out things that other people are doing but if they don’t work out for her she lets us know and lets us know why. She isn’t doing it to please anybody she’s just trying to find what works for her💯
I just got a bob haircut and I absolutely hate it. I look like Dora the explorer wants to speak to the manager and now I keep watching all these beautiful women with long luscious hair. 😤
Arica 😂💀 OMG
wigs are a girl's best friend, maybe?
It’s been a year now, did u grew ur hair sweetie?😂🥰
Lmao 😭
i also cut my hair to shoulders and now i am regretting it....
When I was wearing my hair straight, I loved having a keratin treatment! Really decreased my breakage and improved the strength of the strands. Just be careful with high heat use. The relaxing effect really is temporary but it makes it a lot easier to get heat damage and straighten your curls away completely. I’m happy that this is working for you and making your life easier. It takes such a long time to create a good relationship with your hair texture when no one in you family really interacted with it that way when you were growing up. I hope this can help get your hair to the place you want it
I work in a hair salon, great tip; towel dry your hair before you condition
This helps conditioner to really soak into your hair and actually work!
The thing I like about you is that even if this doesnt work out for you in the long run as everyones saying, youll let us know. And youll give us all the deets on why it didnt or did. Youre honesty is what keeps me watching!♥️😊
Keratin treatments were LITERALLY the only thing that has let my hair grow without breaking off. It grew six inches in a year and a half which is a lot for me
I'm 19 now and I've been following you since I was 14, you've been a good inspiration for me because I have curly hair as well, I've watched how you strengthen yours with and without heat, I've seen your hair cear routine and tried to follow everything.
I love my curly hair, but nothing was working for it.
I've tried masks, creams, conditioners, natural remedies, sprays, shampoos, professional salon stuff, NOTHING worked, as soon as it would get fully dry it started to look like cotton.
Many people told me that they would pay for my hair but I don't believe them, keratin was my only solution, I was REALLY tired of having to keep my hair up in a bun ALL THE TIME, I couldn't do a pony tail, I couldn't do fancy hairstyles, I couldn't do anything, just a regular ugly bun, not even just letting it free without touching it because I didn't feel like it.
I'm so much happier now, I curl my hair anyways cause, again, I like it curly, but my natural hair just didn't work.
Don't feel sorry or that you let down people because you got keratin, it's your head you do what you want, people just see a little part on RUclips, haven't you thought that maybe her hair looked good just for videos but then, when she would turn off the camera she had to put it up on a bun, or have it fluffy and big all the time? She also has soooo much hair, I totally understand her.
If you are happy with your curly hair, I'm so happy that you found a way to make it look good and to fell good wearing it.
Your hair is gorgeous! I would love to learn more about the keratin treatment, the pros and cons and why you got it. Thanks for making great content!
My mom does keratin treatments for me, she is a hairdresser. We do the treatment on the balcony and wear masks and she applies the Keratin 1cm away from the scalp so the treatment doesn't touch the scalp at all. I never experienced any hairfall and it lasts 6 months. I trim my Ends every 8 weeks and my hair has never been healthier. I love my curls but it's easier to deal with straight hair. I Shampoo, condition, blow-dry my hair and I'm good to go.
I love your videos. You are like the sister I never had and I have two sisters! You give me so much guidance and you are so inspiring. Lots of love xxx
I’m one of those lucky ones who have nicely defined curls and I enjoy them! I always get asked about my hair from strangers and it feels so good 🥰 My curls are my identity now 😊
I enjoy each video of yours dear ❤️❤️❤️
I remember when I did this in middle school. I would never do it again, but I’m glad it works for you! Moms are busy but that doesn’t mean they can’t pamper themselves 🥰🖤.
You are the first youtuber that I started watching. I was so in love with your curly hair and it inspired me to stop hiding mine and actually know what to do with it. Either way, I still love you and I love that you feel confident with your hair like you made me feel with mine. It doesnt matter whether its curly or straight, only how we feel does. So thank you for being my inspiration
Every time I watch your videos I treat my body way better. You are such an Inspiration! 🥰✨
Your like the helping mom that I never had so thank you so much for all your advice💜💜
I was so relieved when you said that olaplex repairs broken hair bonds and not "repairs broken ends" (since thats impossible). Great video, you have beautiful hair!!!
omg everytime i watch one of your videos i was thinking that you the perfect person in the world your channel had everything that a girl would need to know so thank for being on youtube because i have been using your hair product tips and my hair feels so soft and great

I knew this girl with naturally curly hair who had a keratin treatment done. It looked great, shiny and glossy, up until she washed her hair. After that, the curl started coming back, but it did not look cute, it just looked un-kept. I saw her again months later and she was complaining about how awful her hair looked... and to tell you the truth, she was right. Now, I don't know how committed she was to taking care of her hair and getting it back on track (considering she was also dyeing it), but what she claimed is that to her, keratin did more damage than it did good.
I myself have naturally curly hair and ever since I learnt how to take better care of it, I'm starting to appreciate it more. Sure, there are plenty of things I could be doing better, and I agree with you on how time consuming it can be, but I'm super grateful for it. Not to say you're in the wrong for choosing to have your hair straight! I'm just glad straight hair has stopped being the norm as much as it used to be, and I appreciate you taking the time to talk about your relationship with your curly hair. :)
KamalianCiranoush I love your comment ❤️
@@AlexandrasGirlyTalk thank you! You are a lovely girl and I appreciate you for the videos you make for us. ❤
Keratin treatment is not a straightening treatment. People usually forget that..
I completely agree, I did keratin years ago to make my curly hair more manageable. It just made the curls weird and frizzy. I think this is only a good idea if you want to always have ur hair straightened or blown out
Curly hair is hard to maintain! I could never keep the knots away when I had long curly hair. I recently cut it short and I’ve been loving it. Layers and fall a little above my shoulder. If you ever change your mind, short curls are easy to maintain :)
I found her when she had curly hair and just fell in love with her hair but honestly as someone with curly hair as well it is so tiring to manage I don’t blame her for taking this route. Glad she’s happy!
Oh my Gosh Alex !😍 Your videos give me some kind of vibes ..like it's hard to discribe it's like the second I click on a video of yours a *relaxed, loving quality athomosphare* welcomes me. I love how you not only take care of your body but also of your "Psychic" kinda.
Yeah I just wanted to say that I really appreciate you😘😘
So glad you’re making videos again! 💕
Mel H me too 🥰💋✨
Girl, I feel the same. Last week I straightened my curls for the first time IN YEARS, and holy hell, I felt beautiful. I love my curls, but I like it better when straight :)
As a person who’s always struggling with their hair and hair texture I feel you, especially the long routines and maintenance.
What a beautiful soul. You're so honest and true. Thank you, girls and women need to see people like you more. ❤
Same here 🤩 i also struggled with my curly hair my entire life then decided to go for keratin treatment and it did amazingness to my hair! The fall out decreased and it's shiner and healther !! But as you menchined,, you shouldn't always go for keratin
This video was so helpful I think I'm going to consider getting a keratin treatment before going to college next fall. Also, your top is extremely cute
I feel so good after watching this video. I also have curly hair ( thick, a lot of hair and super frizzy and heavy) I love straight hair. I think is just my style. I love how easy my day gets when I get my hair straight. I’ve tried HARD to make peace with my curls (and even everyone compliments my curly hair )but I simply think it doesn’t compliment my face, my style, my height... At the and we have to do what makes us happy and simply decide which things we can change (in a healthy way) and do what we believe is the best for us. Love you 💖
Alexandra. Thank You so much for Your tips. My girlfriend had a real problem with hair and you saved her. Now she has them long and healthy. I really appreciate Your effort of making these videos!

Yo...of all the shower/hair care routines on YT, the natural dusk lighting....yassss
I trained my hair not to get oily after weeks of not washing it. I wash and style it every month, but if i were you and had to wash it regularly, i would definitely approach a treatment because it's less damaging than applying too much heat. At the end, it's really you and what makes you comfortable.
Im starting to not wash my hair everyday, but its so hard because my hair gets so gross and greasy when i just skip a day without washing it.
I am a huge fan of yours. I have naturally curly hair and I totally understand where you're coming from. I used to be so inspired by your curly hair and the way you had the confidence to rock it. When I was younger I didn't know how to manage my curls and it shook my confidence so much. I also love the straight look though. I understand going through phases of being frustrated at how much work it takes to take care of curly hair properly and its something that people that don't have that hair type will never understand. So props for rocking the curls and also making the choice to do what suits your lifestyle best. 😍😘❤❤❤
I Honestly Love and appreciate you and this channel for all the honest tips and help 💙💙💙
If your hair is extremely oily and full of product build-up, you should cleanse before applying Olaplex #3, otherwise you may end up wasting a lot of it, as it won’t penetrate the hair properly, and it’s not cheap.
*Pro* *Tip* *for* *washing* : Doing a double cleanse using your shampoo can be extremely beneficial, and is considered the proper method by hairstylists. The first wash should be focused on the roots and rinsed through the ends to remove the oil at the scalp and most of the product build-up. Once you do that, you will find that the second wash will be much easier, the shampoo will lather easier, spread through the hair much easier, and you won’t have to do as much scrubbing, which can cause a bit of breakage.
Thanks for this! My hair is so oily, I'm always mystified when people can go even a day without washing 😭😂
Kate Chamomile You’re welcome! It may seem like two washes is a lot of product, but you’re actually using more when you have to constantly add more shampoo to get to it lather because all that oil\product is mixing in. Also if you’re hair is super oily, I would recommend keeping any conditioners, masks, and leave-in treatments off your scalp, maybe use a detangling spray there if you’re hair gets tangled easily. And if you’re an avid dry shampoo user, spray it into your roots before bed, rub it in, give your hair a quick brush through, and let it do its magic overnight. It will help keep the oil at bay.
Hope that helps!
Hey, you seem to know a lot about Olaplex. I tried it for the first time yesterday, the results were great, but I lost a lot of hair during the washing afterwards.... i used to loose a lot, then it stopped, now it started again,.... it was really a lot.. and long hair from the root :( I am a bit worried.... Thanks in advance if you have an advice on this
Gabrielle Rochette Hi! I would love to help you! I can assure you it wasn’t the Olaplex, so we can rule that out. But since I don’t have much to go on, I’ll give you some general examples for now. So on average a person sheds around 100 strand of hair per day. But let’s say you wear your hair up often, or your hair is curly and/or tangles easily, the hair that sheds daily gets mixed in with the rest of the hair. So when you go to wash it, as it untangles, all that hair that has already shed from the follicle will come out all at once. Or, if you gave your hair and/or scalp a good brushing during the wash or treatment, it might’ve been hair that needed to shed but was clogged by product at the follicle.
But if you feel like this is completely out of the norm for you, there could be several other factors that can play in here. Do you know why this happened before and why it stopped? It could be the quality of products you are using, or the amount of product, both could be clogging the follicles. But there are also things like diet, smoking, and hormones that can play a factor as well.
Hopefully I was able to help and maybe even answered your question, but if I didn’t mention anything that you can relate it to, tell me a little bit more about your hair and the brands/products you use, and any other info you think might be important and we can go from there.
@@BlackThorndRose that was very helpful actually. Thank you so much !

I hope your hair stays well cuz I have heard of many keratin horror stories,be careful with it

This video came at a very good time for me. I want to get a keratin treatment but I wasn't sure about it but after listening to you saying how happy it makes you, I've decided to get it as well. 💖
Don't do it based on one video. Keratin treatment is very harsh on the hair. I would advise you to do your research first. A lot of people, like me, did it and it end up ruining their hair. See my comment and all the replies similar to mine
It would be great to see a follow up of the keratin treatment, and how the hair looks like after a couple of months. Great video! Thanks for posting :)
I’m really thinking about getting keratin. I would really love an “aftermath” video. Like did it damage your hair? Did you get split emds? How long did it last? No one really talks about it that openly and i would want to know before i do it. Thank you💋❤️
Wow. She's so pretty in every video. I love you alex
That's a good honest routine. I never had curly hair but I struggled with frizzy straight to wavy hair all my life, even now and I know it really isn't easy to maintain it although i love my hair. So if it makes her happy then why not? All the more power to her!
It’s good to know I’m not the only one with a love hate relationship with their curly hair. Maintaining curly hair is a struggle for me but ur hair is beautiful! All hair types are beautiful ❤️
You look gorgeous no matter what, but you’re hair looks beautiful straight! I have naturally curly, thick hair and it’s a struggle to find products that help it look decent, not to mention hairdresser who knows how to cut it right. It’s a daily struggle, but I personally look better with my curly hair. It’s a personal decision and it’s your right to do whatever you want to do with your hair 👍🏻💜. Maybe you’ll decide to go curly again in the future and maybe not. Either way, it’s a personal choice and anyone who criticizes is jealous of how beautiful you are.
could you make an in depth video about keratin? im considering getting it and didnt get that much info about the treatment itself from this video
I have similar hair to yours and keratin treatments really do save a lot of time. I also don’t use heat tools as much when I get a keratin so I feel like it’s more healthy.
you’re literally my favorite channel i love u so much😩🕊✨🔥✨💕
I’m only watching this because I love Alexandra😂 I have type 4 hair this is not for me😭

Keratin treatments are for everyone. It’s a straightening treatment however I don’t recommend...
Kellie Cook why not?
Nora C
1. there are ingredients in the treatment that can possibly release formaldehyde, the gas. The shit that is used to preserve corpses!
2. Keratin treatments require a HIGH amount of heat, so after the “smoothing” effects of the treatment wears off, you can be left with dry, brittle, thin hair
3. Keratin fills in your already damaged hair and makes it look good for a while. It doesn’t actually fix the problem. The best way to “fix” hair is to cut the damage off. And no shade, I love watching her, but I don’t think her hair looks very healthy rn. But maybe her hair is naturally coarse 🤷🏽♀️
4. If you want your curl pattern back after the treatment, it will be hella hard to bring back cuz you pretty much damaged it. So this straightening thing is not so temporary as it seems.
5. It’s recommended that you have a treatment no more than 3 times a year. But even so many people complain about losing their hair.
6. It’s called a “treatment” but it’s not! I would say it’s chemicals...but everything is chemicals. Sooo, the difference is treatments make your hair actually healthier by adding nutrients, this just adds a bunch of harmful stuff into your hair to make it *look* healthier. Your hair is made of keratin so the keratin in the “treatment” just fills in the damaged holes of your hair
I have a pixie cut but I’m still watching for her lol
Strange. I always wished I had hair as curly as yours and people with curly hair seem to have a hard time maintaining it. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side haha. You look beautiful as always ❤️
I have gentically extremely fine hair and I look after it so much, I wish I had beautiful hair like yours xx
We have very similar hair curl, and my strands are SUPER coarse especially as I age. I just did my own treatment for the first time and did my first wash last night and omfg it is the BEST thing I've ever done for my hair! I used to get the Copolla one done about 7 years ago and it was awesome but the price was too much for me to maintain after moving to Vegas. Hair care tech has really improved since my last pro keratin treatment. I was honestly scared to do it myself but it actually rained today and I was able to walk around in the drizzle and no frizz! I would never be able to do that before, even if my hair was in a bun with an umbrella in hand! I didn't even use a flat iron today or last night after washing. Just a round blowdryer. I'm in love lol and I can't wait for a 2nd treatment. I just hope the 2nd one takes the curl away even more.
Your videos are so informative 🙌
Can you do a "how to maintain keratin treated hair" please!
girl , you do not need to explain or defend yourself, your hair , your life , your choice, i have curly hair too and i wear it however the mood strikes me on that particular day
shes just on another level. ..shows that you can be a successful youtuber without pumping out trashy, clickbaity cookie-cutter-content. Her editing, the impressively beautiful visuals.. You can really see that there is thought and work put into every second of it. Every sentence is important and worded thoughtfully. (And also she invests some money into them,e.g. example clothing.) I also really enjoy the voice-overs. sometimes its nice just seeing somebody talk but i feel like these kinds of videos are much more pleasing to watch and more interesting. It seems like most youtubers get lazy with their content since crappy content is apparently very efficient & gets many views with little effort. But Alexandria only seems to have grown with time.
Pls do more videos about keratin i want to do it i have thick (wavy and / straight hair) i heard it make the hair weak and fall off a lot ❤❤
i’ve had 3 keratin treatments and none of them worked permanently for my naturally wavy/curly hair. what did work for me was accepting myself the way my parents made me and loving the hair that’s been passed down from the women in my family for generations. granted, that took me nearly 7 years of straightening and constant self-hatred. i love my curls now. and i hope someday you can learn to too, or just continue doing what works for you and gives you confidence ♥️
And yet your profile picture is of you with straight hair
Usher O'conell thats not me lmfao yall are weird 😂 do u think my real name is miss keisha too?

@@laurenn8966 'yall are weird'

YESS ALEXANDRA you inspired me to make a beauty channel you’re such a good role model. I’m posting another video later today !
yayyyy i’ll be watching !
i love new beauty channels i’ll check it out .
ALRIGHTY just subscribed
I just subbed too. You’re channel is really nice so far.
Jada Love yay!
omg you are a beauty whisperer lol. I love your videos so much! I was thinking of getting a keratin treatment, Ive hated my curls for long but know that I have learned to love them I want a change.
Girl i love it! I have curly hair and i completely understand, i also have a keratin and you gotta do what makes YOU happy and feel most confident 💛 i have a different keratin where i can still style my curly hair it’s just not as tight.
Hi . MAY I ASK WHICH keratin treatment?
Noooooo.... Don't do it!!! my hair fell from keratin treatment.... Plus ur curls are wonderful..
Yesss😭
but she already did it
same, but only slightly! I wouldn't recommend getting keratin treatment if your hair strands are weak/damaged. In some places my hair just snaps off, but that side was damaged to begin with 😭
@@nuk115 Tbh they are still damaging on their own. Like hair dye is damaging but the damage is gonna be worse on already damaged hair and more apparent on healthier hair
Yes. It's harsh on the hair , and the process of application it damage the hair , very high heat and chemicals on ur hair , I don't recommend it 😊
I was correct this did change my lifestyle for the good
Honestly I wouldn't be disappointed one bit I'm happy for you and glad you did the most with all your curly hair videos too 😍 I'm getting mine this weekend my hair is same length and texture as yours ❤️ this helped a lot to educate myself about how to take care after the treatment loved this it's like you read my mind aw also please do more fashion videos ❤️
No shade thrown here. Your hair is lovely. I had keratin treatments for about a year and my hair was very manageable and shiny. Problem for me was that I lost thickness and it just wasn’t for me in the end. Hope your journey is much more successful.
Can we please have an Alonzo update? We miss his angelic face! 👼🏻
I swear by Olaplex no 3! It's soooo good xx
But does it change your hair texture?
@@mm7011 no don’t worry about that it only makes ur hair soft and shiny and beautiful u should try it if u need to
I tried it and it made my hair very dry and my hair broke very easily /: I don't get the hype
@@ashley1872 It depends on your hair type and texture, you should have made a bit more research about the porduct, saying this so next time you wont get same results :)
Is it good for heat damage too?!
I'm so glad that you are come back, i miss your videos❤❤❤
Can I just talk about how calm make me your voice ? Love the way you look, soo calm an gorgerous !
i have extremely curly hair lie yours, maybe even curlier. And like you said i was never able to have a good relationship with my natural hair so i got the keratin TWICE. The first time i loved it but the second time my hair got extremely damaged. Just two days ago i cut my hair shoulder length to try and grow out my hair and start over because us curly girls ARE special and its time for me to finally embrace it. I would love if you did the same although i prefer whatever makes you happy! i just dont want the same thing to happen to you about regretting the keratin and having to start from square one :(
Why did the second keratin treatment damage your hair?
@luhsetty here on RUclips has really good tips for curly girls! I recommend you check her out. I have curly hair too and she helped me a ton
Hi ruby,
what time frame you gave you hair from the 1st to the 2nd treatment ? months , years ect. ?
Hanna A the second time I had it done , the first to month were great . But once my curl pattern wanted to come back , my hair looked very dry and stringy .
B Mejia I gave it about either a 6 month time frame or a little over
Ur hair is beautiful but sadly curly hair can't be brushed dry... I usually do it damp 😊😘
I totally understand why you did the treatment - with curly hair you never know how it will look, it’s in control of itself 😃 but I must say your curls are lovely!!! You look stunning with straight hair as well but with curly you’re just gorgeos. Mother nature knows its work - hope you’ll come back to it eventually😊 it’s worth the effort
Gorgeous hair! I have been thinking about doing this too. After having kids my hair changed from slightly wavy to very wavy almost curly but I can't seem to master the curly hair. Love straight shiny hair right now❤
Is this treatment and products you're using cruelty free?
So your saying keratin is damaging to your hair but it's just for appearance of health and it will help your hair grow. . .???? 😕
The sunlight when you were washing your hair is so... romantic wth 💕
Great tip for reducing tangles. Don't flip your head upside down to wrap a towel on your hair. Twist your wet hair low and place the lengths on the top of your head then lean slightly forward and then wrap a towel over. Makes a huge difference x
Alexandra are you and andreaschoice related?!!!! You guys look and sound the same😯
They're not. Total coincidence
I thought they were sisters... wow
I just thought the same thing! Glad I'm not crazy lol.
Ms.Goodhope omg I always thought they were cuz of their voice and aesthetic
@@keishal9228 same thought
We absorb energy with our hair (as in our bodies) so when you wash your hair aka water goes through your whole body it carries the energy with it... For example when you haven't taken a shower for a longer period you'll start to feel more tired, more stuck up but when u shower the detained energy is carried away by the water makin u feel more refreshed and envigorated
We missed you!!! It's so nice to have you back😚😚😚💖💖💖
i’m so jealous of you’re hair.😍 i genuinley just cut my hip length hair to my shoulders and if i would’ve seen this video before i did that i wouldn’t have gone through with it ...😭
I haven’t even watched it yet but damn! You loved and wore your curly hair often 😭
we all sad😭
😭
But she didn’t. She usually had blowouts in her videos
She did , & she embraced her curls often too
what about your curls:((((((
I'm sure she still loves her curls. Straight hair is just easier to take care of and doesnt require conditioner to style it. Curly hair is beautiful but its alot of work, conditioner, leave in and deep conditioner, and the same goes for wavy hair. It seems like girls with anything but pin straight hair have a lot of endless fights with frizz and sometimes it's lots of work to keep it away. It gets pretty draining. If i had to guess I would say shes doing this bc its easier and its a break from the constant upkeep of having to style and restyle her hair.
Her curls will be back lol don’t worry
Curly hair is definitely beautiful but it's really tiring. She's a mother and she has a lot of responsibilities besides that. So the treatment as I think isn't out of hate, but had to. That's my opinion
@@avabaumann3250 how tho?
@@EgyptianCurls keratin treatments aren't permanently. I think after months you'll see waves are coming back and you need to do the treatment again. I'm not talking of an experience but I've seen girls doing this, not sure about the details.
Despite being so busy you've inspired me to keep my youtube channel going! I hope you always post videos even if you are a busy woman.
