    I've been looking at a good durable rifle case and this looks like it will fit the bill. thanks for a great review!

    I saw someone spray plasti-dip on the foam after you cut it out and it really holds those squares together and hardens the foam up a bit.

    Vaughn, love your videos, been watching awhile and what got me into your channel is your gun builds and gunsmithing video’s. Going to have to try and find away to slip some cash your way for one of your DVD’s without the warden(wife) finding out 😂. I know you mentioned getting back I to reloading videos which will be nice but please don’t stop making the smithing videos, please.

    Looks like a great case and nice setup! Looking forward to the 6.5 Creedmoor reloading videos!

    Very cool! I did have and use one of these exact cases for a bit when Uintah Precision let me test one of their rifles. Very tough and thick great handles and they had the foam cut just right for the rifle to sit snug. Great topic

    I have the same case and although it's heavy, it's tough and works great. I noticed that, over time, the pluck foam started to tear from taking stuff in and out so I removed the foam from the case and sprayed it with plasti-dip. I suggest doing it before you lose that perfect snug fit. Tons of RUclips videos to reference. Long time subscriber and I really enjoy your videos man... maybe you can build me a rifle someday!

      Foxman Eric I’d love to build you a rifle someday.! I’ll look in to the plasti-dip and maybe do a follow up video. Since your a long time subscriber would you like a complementary Savage rifle build dvd.? I’d be happy to send you a copy. Email me at Vaughnprecision@gmail.com

    really nice case. I ordered my barrel for a .224 Valkyrie build the other day. now if I can wait the 12 weeks to get it i'll be ok!! i'm interested to see if the .224 Valkyrie is every thing they claim it is.

      derekthegreatgonzo it’s not bad at all..! It’s a long range little pill for sure. But the real test, see if it stays popular enough to keep alive.!

      I was thinking the same thing. we've seen a lot of rounds come and go pretty fast. barrel life will be the big thing i'd say. if it is short, it won't be around long.

    Kotaboy 32 has a video on spraying the phone down after you cut it out with Plasti coat and it makes it almost like a monolithic piece of foam then

    I'd like to put a red dot on my beretta 92fs and I don't like my local gun-shop; but I like this channel! I'm still sourcing the parts I want/ best way to mount the sight, but it looks like I'll need a hole drilled and tapped on my slide. Any suggestions on a solution, or if i provide the parts, could you do the labor?

    Just subscribed love your channel glad I found it. I like the builds you do and I would like to grasp your opinion on the 6.5 creedmor. I’ve been looking at this cartridge for quit sometime. Looking at it for a first rifle

    • @vaughnprecision
      @vaughnprecision  6 лет назад

      dennis johnston so far I really like it. However, I don’t have years of experience with the Creedmoor and all the load development yet. I don’t think you can go wrong with it though. The bullets are hard hitting with great BC values. I do wish I could push them a little faster though.! I’d like to hit 2900 FPS but I’m hovering around 2600 with my current load. Now, even though my rounds are only pushing 2600, I’m shooting a .171 inch group at 100 yards and my ES/SD numbers are very acceptable.

      Vaughn Precision I’m thinking of getting the savage model 12. I might do a couple things like cleaning up the action and in time getting a Boyd’s stock and bedding it.

    • @vaughnprecision
      @vaughnprecision  6 лет назад

      dennis johnston the best thing you can do is get a new stock and glass bed it.! They usually shoot good out of the box with a few minor upgrades.!

      Joe Rock hahaha.! Was wondering about that. We will be getting more footage here in a couple weeks. The actual owner of that stock will be talking about it some to. It’s nice for the price and I think the features are great. I struggle with its sharp edges however, just different.
