This is probably one of the scariest videos as far as seeing this in real time, and to see these home's and businesses tore up. It was a great video by Reed but I have to say it made me feel sick to my stomach watching how quickly the destruction is in a Tornado. Prayers for all who were affected by this disaster. 🙏🙏
I was able to see this in real time that day too. Reed did an awesome job knowing where and when development would likely occur. Thanks again, Reed, for the experience.
@@Niansboog Did you chase this tornado as well, was your home or business affected. If so my thoughts and prayers are with you. If your a chaser thank you for getting information out to the public.🙏

Yeah the forward motion on these things can speed up out of nowhere. I don't remember the year off the top of my head, but one of the Moore tornadoes did the same thing as it was crossing the interstate. Even the big ones can just blow up and accelerate out of nowhere which is what makes it so dangerous to get close.
My god, the first clip makes the tornado look like a living, breathing monster with a vengeance. It seems to pause over a group of homes and once their roofs come off, only then does it jump to the next group of homes and the process repeats. This view from the drone is simply incredible! Hopefully we can eventually get the tornado roar from the drones as well. Stay safe, Reed!
I always thought tornados just came down from the sky, but this video makes it look like what’s happening on the ground is just as important as what’s developing in the sky, like a drain in the tub. I’m just an avid observer and don’t know all the science, but this video shows the tornado looking like a machine!
Normally I hate click-bait exaggerations and reposts, but this literally was top 5 tornado footage of all time and I don't mind seeing it multiple times.
For once a bold title statement is actually probably true. I've never seen better footage, or drone footage, than this. Thanks Reed! It is amazing to watch over and over again!
This is incredible, it’s like the storm is dancing. It’s also wild to see how much condensation in the vortexes at the ground while the condensation funnel itself never makes it all the way down. These storm are impossibly complex but I feel like I understand them a little more now. Thanks Tim!!!
I feel the drones capture the hungry the wind feels as it draws it air back up and out of the tornado. It is a graceful and deadly dance. I just love this perspective. Thx reed
Absolutely the most incredible video of a tornado ever captured but it’s devastating to watch it destroying peoples homes & businesses 💔I was watching you live when it happened. Fantastic job Reed! Dominating for life 💪Never stop chasing!!

That storm is just amazing in that from a distance you'd think its maybe a F1, perhaps a F0, it just doesn't look impressive - but the damage is insane. Although, in fairness to myself, we're not seeing it from a great distance, so perhaps the flume is more impressive than I'm giving it credit for. But generally, from ground level, you don't see this much, it's more of a wall, but from this angle, you see everything. It's truly impressive and amazing footage.
Thanks Reed!! Amazing video to watch! I especially like watching the tornado when the camera is zoomed out. It's cool to see the entire storm.... love the sky. 🙂
Hi Reed, I’ve watched this video several times, it’s fascinating to witness such an event happening. I feel bad for the victims and pray for wellness from this event.. Awesome Job Reed, great team. God Bless, 🥰 Chris
Please help explain “suction vortex”? Whenever Reed uses that phrase, I try to look it up but the results that I get are mostly about “multiple vortex” which I’m assuming is not what we’re talking about. Most of the search results that actually say “suction vortex” come from Reeds videos himself! Please help point me in the right direction 😅 Also, this may be an area of the science that Reed specializes in, so that’s why the search results always are his!
It’s very rare to get footage of tornadoes that form on the back side of a supercell or squall line because most chasers are out front of these storms.
Absolutely amazing video!!!! Next year I'll be getting a Mavic 3 Thermal to simultaneously record regular and thermal video of a tornado. I'm saying this because I wish someone would do it before me; I just want to see the split screen video. I can't get enough of tornado footage from drones!

At 0:08 seconds watch the discrete vortice start ripping apart the house across the street from where actual main funnel is. Ppl think it's the main funnel that does most damage but in reality a funnel can be huge but depends on the violent spinning vortices inside that funnel
Wow do you notice when the funnel starts to move ahead of the of the tornadic contact on the ground it becomes even more extremely violent and destructive!

Some is dirt but I've also witnessed this type of damage close up and I was shocked at how much home insulation was sprayed on EVERYTHING, even still tangled in fences months later.
@@ReedTimmerWx footage would definitely be better. Too bad you don't have Philip Seymour Hoffman and Bill Paxton anymore :-( but they could easily tie you into that storyline
In watching this incredible video I noticed at about the 6:07 mark there appears to be an additional debris cloud in the distance off the main funnel. Was there a secondary smaller twister?
Very nice footage, but I’m disappointed that you didn’t provide any technical details such as the drone you used, and the approximate average wind speed where the drone was located, because that drone was remarkably steady for conditions that I would expect as less than a calm breeze.
Is the vapor/white clouds coming up from the ground due to the pressure/temperature differential from a building being opened up so rapidly by the tornado?
I’ll prob do many many more edits that include this footage though man - prob an all time drone highlight, zoom-in slow mos on the 4K and compare with models, seasonal highlights, highlights of the 2020s etc. it’s the kind of video that never gets old. Never stop chasing my man
@@ReedTimmerWx Let’s say you have a well built house and a 150mph straight line wind vs a 150mph direct hit from a tornado. Would damage be roughly equal or different because of the tornadoes erratic winds inside the funnel?
