    This is probably one of the scariest videos as far as seeing this in real time, and to see these home's and businesses tore up. It was a great video by Reed but I have to say it made me feel sick to my stomach watching how quickly the destruction is in a Tornado. Prayers for all who were affected by this disaster. 🙏🙏

      I was watching live also he was on it all day and almost missed it from talking to fans who had gathered there with him. You will see about 5 diffrent views all caught from chasers who where with reed that day he scored big!!!!!

      Yeah the forward motion on these things can speed up out of nowhere. I don't remember the year off the top of my head, but one of the Moore tornadoes did the same thing as it was crossing the interstate. Even the big ones can just blow up and accelerate out of nowhere which is what makes it so dangerous to get close.

    My god, the first clip makes the tornado look like a living, breathing monster with a vengeance. It seems to pause over a group of homes and once their roofs come off, only then does it jump to the next group of homes and the process repeats. This view from the drone is simply incredible! Hopefully we can eventually get the tornado roar from the drones as well. Stay safe, Reed!

      I always thought tornados just came down from the sky, but this video makes it look like what’s happening on the ground is just as important as what’s developing in the sky, like a drain in the tub. I’m just an avid observer and don’t know all the science, but this video shows the tornado looking like a machine!

    This is incredible, it’s like the storm is dancing. It’s also wild to see how much condensation in the vortexes at the ground while the condensation funnel itself never makes it all the way down. These storm are impossibly complex but I feel like I understand them a little more now. Thanks Tim!!!

    I feel the drones capture the hungry the wind feels as it draws it air back up and out of the tornado. It is a graceful and deadly dance. I just love this perspective. Thx reed

    I like how the condensation funnel almost looks like a ballet dancer twisting and turning at points, then it devolves into a messy violent beast

    This Tornado looks like a living monster or an Elemental walking through town. It looks like it pulls it's whip out lashing up houses and other structures in it's way. Stunning footage of this monster for sure

      @@Max_Krypto It's not any one individual, it's RUclips. Salty people mass report the video and it gets de-monetized for "violence" when not a single soul was harmed. So Reed has to take the video down and re-upload in hopes it changes. It's ridiculous.

    That storm is just amazing in that from a distance you'd think its maybe a F1, perhaps a F0, it just doesn't look impressive - but the damage is insane. Although, in fairness to myself, we're not seeing it from a great distance, so perhaps the flume is more impressive than I'm giving it credit for. But generally, from ground level, you don't see this much, it's more of a wall, but from this angle, you see everything. It's truly impressive and amazing footage.

      Please help explain “suction vortex”? Whenever Reed uses that phrase, I try to look it up but the results that I get are mostly about “multiple vortex” which I’m assuming is not what we’re talking about. Most of the search results that actually say “suction vortex” come from Reeds videos himself! Please help point me in the right direction 😅
      Also, this may be an area of the science that Reed specializes in, so that’s why the search results always are his!

    It’s very rare to get footage of tornadoes that form on the back side of a supercell or squall line because most chasers are out front of these storms.

    Absolutely amazing video!!!! Next year I'll be getting a Mavic 3 Thermal to simultaneously record regular and thermal video of a tornado. I'm saying this because I wish someone would do it before me; I just want to see the split screen video. I can't get enough of tornado footage from drones!

    At 0:08 seconds watch the discrete vortice start ripping apart the house across the street from where actual main funnel is. Ppl think it's the main funnel that does most damage but in reality a funnel can be huge but depends on the violent spinning vortices inside that funnel

    Wow do you notice when the funnel starts to move ahead of the of the tornadic contact on the ground it becomes even more extremely violent and destructive!

    These are beautiful and mesmerizing and they remind me of daners like Tina Turner's Private Dancer video but mostly they are unpredictable and deadly and people really do need to heed the weather warnings for their area. People are out there putting their lives on the line to save you and your loved ones.

      Some is dirt but I've also witnessed this type of damage close up and I was shocked at how much home insulation was sprayed on EVERYTHING, even still tangled in fences months later.

    In watching this incredible video I noticed at about the 6:07 mark there appears to be an additional debris cloud in the distance off the main funnel. Was there a secondary smaller twister?

    Very nice footage, but I’m disappointed that you didn’t provide any technical details such as the drone you used, and the approximate average wind speed where the drone was located, because that drone was remarkably steady for conditions that I would expect as less than a calm breeze.

      I’ll prob do many many more edits that include this footage though man - prob an all time drone highlight, zoom-in slow mos on the 4K and compare with models, seasonal highlights, highlights of the 2020s etc. it’s the kind of video that never gets old. Never stop chasing my man

      @@ReedTimmerWx Let’s say you have a well built house and a 150mph straight line wind vs a 150mph direct hit from a tornado. Would damage be roughly equal or different because of the tornadoes erratic winds inside the funnel?

      Very different yes! The constant acceleration of the flow as it changes directions and speeds, plus the vertical winds makes a big difference

    Can someone explain to me what the white clouds / smoke is coming off the roofs of the houses. I can't quite wrap my head around it. Does it have to do with low pressure?

      Yes I believe this is a condensation streamer but I habe also heard theories it could be gas leaks

      @@ReedTimmerWx that's interesting. The only Theory I can think of is when you pressurize an empty bottle The air inside is compressed and suddenly remove the cap. You have the condensed air that comes out. It is this the same thing that's happening to the houses?
