I have a 2020 S3 with Unitronic Satge 1+ ECU and Stage 1 TCU tune. It shifted amazing for a few months then began having a jerking in 1st and 2nd gear. I also had a very hard downshift from 7th to 5th when flooring it in normal Drive. It would cause a big clunk. When shifting in manual it was fine. I purchased OBDEleven and reset my TCU to factory and it made a huge difference. My car is shifting normally again.
I am also wondering if this is the case. Not really sure at this point. I shared this video hoping I can get more input from other EQT’ers what their experiences are. I am very interested on what others have experience wise.
When both ECU and TCU Tuned together with a product shouldn't be doing that. My Unitronic Stage 1 tune ECU / TCU is what the car should have come from the factory. Smooth OEM+ R has 55k kms now 1year on tune ran 3 years with JB4 previously
@Lagerance very good point! That was my initial expectations as well!! Given I am only going stage 1. That is why I was so disappointed that my transaction was literally acting up. So glad that the reset helped in the process.
Intact I decided to dedicate an entire playlist for the experience: My Journey to EQT OTS Flash Tuning ruclips.net/p/PLu0HP9W0pmks09F3GBwtTki4bt1CNQ_RL
In my case being with EQT for my DSG tune, I didn’t have to. The relearn is needed only if you’re seeing shift issues after up flashing. I recommend watching the entire series on this topic given all my follow up results and findings there after
So let's make it straight, doing the reset that you are doing won't actually reset the DSG tune itself? Because I am not wasting money doing this and my DSG tune actually disappear LOL
Reset will just adjust your clutch pack and it will not affect your flashes tunes. Do this only if you are having an issue with your shifting otherwise don’t

How is that?
I want to make a reset too for my car@@bm_wuratli6883
I've noticed mine is getting clunky lately too. I need to unlock my OBDEleven to have access to the menu items that can reset this.
Would you think EQT is lacking with their TCU Tune??
That last launch is exactly what I have.
I have a dog bone insert

Does the engine should be running?
Mine is doing the exact same thing in 3rd and 5th . So this fixed your issue?
It did feel better for couple of days after the reset… Check out the rest of the series I did the follow up vids and resolution

@@JNBTuning I was using the IE tcu tune. I updated that tune and it solved the jerky downshifts.
Would I need to do another IE Dsg tune after using the OBDE ?
