This is good to see... decent production in the regular season then better in the tournament. That is a sign of a player that will only get better if they stay focused
Everyone by now knows who DJ Burns is. He's a skilled big man in the post. A foward that plays center successfully because of his dominant size and basketball IQ in the paint. He and DJ Horne are the engine to the train that ran over UNC, Duke, Virginia, and Marquett. Now since I'm being repectful and truthful about everything, let's talk about the flip side of DJ Burns.....the tails side of the coin. He is not a true center and Zach Eady exposed that. Kevin Keats had to adjust his offense and bring Burns out to the top of the key. Burns only scored 8 points the entire game. Purdue rendered the bully ineffective. Next, DJ Burns has no stamina.....he has to return to the bench for rest, oxegen, and probably a couple of twinkies several times during a game. Truth is.....he would NEVER be able to endure an NBA 82 game season even as a foward. Well the cinderella ride is over....DJ ( David) ran into Goliath (Eddy) and Goliath won this battle. I guess that NC State fans will have to go back to bragging about their 30 years ago chamionship like the Dallas Cowboys. State had the opportunity to bring another NCAA Championship back to North Caroilina like the MANY championships the UNC and Duke have won but they were not worthy. Sorry DJ.
Andy Reid choked for decades and never won a ring before mahomes is better than pederson who won a Super Bowl with a backup qb throwing to Jeffries and agholor and beat Brady. The next year made another playoff run with foles and was a dropped catch away from winning back to back Super Bowls with a backup. Andy did nothing before Mahomes kelce Chris jones and sneed is better than Doug?
