I get the idea behind it but I almost wish they left it in this playthrough as part of it but definitely agree on not making it it's own video.

i remember Uberhaxornova's randomized run and he didnt get a gun until way later in the game. also the enemies were randomized too so a shark showed up at the front door and started swimming in the main lobby

@@cherrydragon3120 For an incredible long while, Advent Children was sort of a benchmark for "stylized but realistic" graphics, movie was way too ahead of its time, still looks great to this day.
This is still, to me, the scariest RE game out there, I've played them all. The atmosphere in this one just hits different.
Naw RE5 beats it hands down. If you play as the boulder, being punched by Chris is absolutely terrifying.

I can play this one all the way through no problem - LOVE the atmosphere. RE7 on the other hand....its TOO MUCH
@@ProfKisuto I felt pretty much the opposite. Re7 barely scared me at all. It was more disturbing than anything. Not being able to see around corners because of the fixed camera angles really gets me in old RE games

This is still the single greatest remake. Everything is just soooo on point.
Not just that. Everything is improved. Seriously can't think of anything that was taken away. It's just a straight upgrade, unlike REmake2 and 3 where they changed stuff for good or bad
@@Walamonga1313 I liked RE2R. I think it mostly improved a lot on the original, but they extremely dumb-downed the A and B stories. That's easily my biggest gripe and I haven't even played the original. RE3R is just sad. It's the biggest mish-mash of good new ideas mixed with some really stupid ones (R.I.P. clock tower). But yeah, RE1R is a goddamn masterpiece and the greatest example of how to do a remake just.
@@tryinglyon I love REmake 2 as well. But it also changed stuff and people kind of overlook it, mainly the A/B scenario features and some locations like the lab seemed kind of trimmed down. R3make is a great game gameplay wise but the handling of Nemesis really sours the experience for me (couldn't even let it kill Brad, whole game makes it seem pathethic), as well as cutting out chunks of game that were the best part (Raccoon Strets and buildings or Clocktower), removal of Live Selection (which gave replayability and had tons of alternative cutscenes) and the worst of em all, no Mercenaries.
It's almost insulting that even RE Village has Mercenaries, but R3make couldn't have them?!
@@Walamonga1313 yeah in not gonna lie I was disappointed with how trimmed down the lab was... But overall it was a great game and replaying it with the original rs2 soundtrack and sound effects makes the game slot more scary

This is the best thing I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen the 1987 Masters of the Universe film.
First time I've seen someone play RE1 with a randomizer was Neocranium and it was fun as shit, so happy to see Max play it too ^-^
This was super fun. A big rollercoaster of emotions from max when he got screwed or lucky.
Every time he picks something up and it turns into a herb Max descends a little more into madness
Randos are so fun. They are not perfect, but it keeps you on your feet. Glad you enjoyed, Max.

From what I recall off the top of my head... Barry is 38, not 36 in RE1. Wesker is 35, Chris is 25, Jill is 23 and I think the oldest STARS member is actually Kenneth standing at 40 years old.

Randomizers are some of my favorite content to watch, _and_ it's with my Dood Max?!

You can have a couple different encounters, but the basic breakdown is that, in REmake, depending on the order in which you visit certain rooms, it's possible to skip either or both of the 'It's a Weapon' and 'Jill Sandwich' sequences. They're optional encounters that allow you to get some good ammo and skip needing the broken shotgun item, that make Jill's campaign a little easier than Chris's.
Chris, on the flip side, gets a few extra optional cut-scenes with Rebecca that let him full-heal, if you go to the right rooms at the right points in time.
I love that people are playing the original remake. more please.

I don't beleive for a second Max has played this 8 times before and he doesnt remember almost anything now....Like I've played this like 4 times to the finish and remember everthing almost every sequence, such an unforgettable game!

A randomized run of Resident Evil?! LETS GO
Man I've been playing Sekiro randomizer lately and its SO FUN. It's almost like playing for the first time again.
I should try that sometime. Already played it so many times that I haven't picked it back up
That reupscale project mod is absolutely worth the time to anyone, especially if you just keep the game perma installed. The further you get into the vanilla game the more lazy background transfers rear their head, especially in the shark tank and certain parts of the lab.
It’s a hefty filesize but just about every background image is far clearer. A different group also did this with classic re 2/3 and I can’t recommend that enough as well.

The lighting in this game is about as good as any... RE Directors cut was the 1st game I ever played and beat, so this holds a special place in my heart. I still havent beat this version but it looks so good!

I remember going to Blockbuster to rent this game. Me and my dad. We got home, ate some pizza, and popped it in. It ended up giving us the heebie-jeebies and decided it was actually evil and took it back 🤣

To avoid the Crimson Heads I just try to avoid killing any zombies until I have started to gather up the death masks. I forget how long it takes for them to start getting up but I am usually done with the first round of the mansion within 30 minutes. The only two you can't avoid at all are the scripted ones, the one where the key trap is and the one in the coffin after using the masks. When you come back to the mansion all the previously killed zombies are gone, including the crimson heads.
I played RE 1 and 2 back in the glory days of the PS1.. never played the remake. I saw my nephews playing one of the modern RE games a while back and I was just shocked at what I was watching, in no way was that Resident Evil that I knew :/

I need to play this. I always wanted to do a good run of REmake but too much time had passed from my first run (which was pretty solid) so I have to replay it one extra time to know where to go and what to collect 😂
With the randomizer it doesn't matter anyways.
This game still looks great in 2021.
