One thing that should be done is valve adjustment around the time of first service. Very important as they generally are too tight which in turn can hurt runability. After initial check you can go along time without..
Hi thank you for the video, is it normal to have water coming out of exhaust on 9.9 4T 2014 Yamaha? It is about 1 ro 3 drops in time of 1-2s when idling on about 1080 RPM
Thanks for posting this tutorial. My first time doing an oil change on my outboard and it was a breeze. Appreciate it!
Glad it was helpful. Cheers!
This outboard has a hose flush kit, you can run the motor with a hose hooked up to the flush kit. No need for muffs.
Beauty video and fish and fam!
Appreciate it!! Cheers

Loved the video, thanks for sharing bigair.. few more fish in the boat and you will have an expert net girl there hahaha.
Haha thanks. She and the kids are starting to love being out there
How many hours was it between oil change?, also is it normal on these to see any metal flakes on first change?
Manual says every 100h. Accept the first one was if memory serves me 20h.
Did you screw dow the hour meter or use poster tape?
Used the 3m tape provided
Thanks

What's the model of oil pump you used for the grease? I had issues getting a good seal
Just a quick silver pump that has different adaptors and threats
Are we going to see more content soon?
Bruce! Boat is away for winter. Hope all is well!
Hi did you put an rectifier on your 9;9?
Came with one from factory.
Man that footer oil change was a mess for me. I had a bad time finding the correct angle
Ya lots of people have troubles with that. Just tilt up and lower slowly. Worked no issues for me
