Trooper's Narrative:
On Friday, July 7, 2023, at approximately 10:40 PM, I was traveling westbound on Asher Ave. when a black Tahoe passed me
traveling well over the posted speed limit. I activated my emergency lights and caught up to the Tahoe on Asher Ave. as we
approached the intersection with University Ave. Once I caught the Tahoe, the driver, later identified as Marvin Jenkins,
reduced his speed but continued traveling west on Asher.
Jenkins continued on Asher until we reached the intersection with University where we stopped at the red traffic light. Once the
light turned green, Jenkins continued westbound onto Colonel Glenn Rd and turned left into the 10 Fitness parking lot. Jenkins
continued through the parking lot and onto University southbound where he continued fleeing at speeds reaching approximately
80 miles per hour.
I performed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) by using the driver front corner of my TVI bumper to make contact with the
passenger rear quarter of Jenkins' vehicle. This caused his vehicle rotate 360 degrees clockwise and then 360 degrees
counterclockwise. During the second rotation, the rear wheels of Jenkins' vehicle hit a raised curb which busted both rear tires.
Jenkins continued to flee in the vehicle southbound on University, with the rear of the vehicle sliding across both traffic lanes
and onto both shoulders, due to it driving on the rear rims.
Jenkins pulled into the Quick Food Mart, 5102 University, where he ended up stopping just before reentering University Ave. I
made contact with Jenkins and placed him in handcuffs without further incident.
MEMS responded to evaluate Jenkins who stated he had no injury and did not wish to receive any treatment.
Due to Jenkins' serious medical conditions, all present prior to this incident, Trooper Duncan made contact with staff at the
Pulaski County Jail inquiring about their ability to facilitate his medical needs. Trp. Duncan obtained a written Refusal for
Admission which stated they could not fulfill his medical requirements.
Asher Wrecker responded and towed Jenkins' vehicle and I cited Jenkins for the following: 5-54-125: Fleeing - Vehicle (D/F),
27-50-302: Speeding - More than 15 Over, 27-50-308: Reckless Driving and 27-51-104: Improper or Unsafe Lane Change and
released him to the care of his mother.

@DonnellOkafor because he is STUPID!
@@daryllect6659Just curious...

Front or forward? Lol
@DonnellOkaforBecause he was takin them to his Mama's house!
That Trooper has his very own mini-me!
He was scared and called his mother. But he is independent enough to drive and flee the police. smh
This is like the third in recent vids

Being disabled is no excuse!
His IQ is disabled
Paralysed from the waist down and the neck up.
Unless a legit medical emergency, considering his actions in accelerating and eventually stopping that doesn't appear to be the case here.
His real disability isn't physical.
Please explain that to brain-dead-Biden.....
I've been in a chair for 24yrs starting at a young age at (18yrs old) I have made some bad decisions in that time including breaking the law and jail time, I have never had the heart to use my disability as an excuse to try to get out of anything. If you have the ability to drive and/or make any of life's decisions on your own then you sure as hell better make sure you can deal with the consequences, what an embarrassing individual, wow smh.
I really appreciate your comment. It means a great deal more in your disabled position. 30 yr practice as an RN, now disabled due to Scoliosis as a kid and not looking forward to my 4th back surgery at 59 yo, but now I feel embarrassed because I can still ambulate, just not without pain.
@@katymitchell8200 Hello Katy and thank you for sharing your story! I was in 2 serious car accidents, 1st was in 2000 which left me paralyzed from the waist down, vertebra T12 and L1. Second was in 2004, collapsed lung on my right side broke 2 ribs, both femur were broke in half, metal rods from my knees up to my hips, completely shattered my left ankle, which I can't walk on it anyway lol, I was on a ventilator for 2 weeks. These days not a lot of friends, everyone is married with children except for me lol, can't help to think about what others think about you and your situation, it's just human nature, somewhere inside you have the strength💝
@sbckev4172 Hello. Sou to reply. I have a wonderful husband andweet of y our 2 grown sons. I have a great wealth of family support. The constant pain is what drags me down. I'm on pain meds but it doesn't crush it. You and I have to stay strong of will, and we'll survive. When I get to heaven it won't be a problem any longer :)
@sbckev4172 so my question is this ... IF he is so paralyzed WHY is his wheelchair all the way in the back/trunk? ... so yeah, he played on his disability big time.
@@notme2day His passenger could have possibly put it back there would be my guess.
I’ve noticed “I’m so scared” is the new thing when you have drugs, warrants, loaded guns and you run from the law.
That excuse has been used for a hundred years.
Trooper Ellison. I see you sir! Good job. Level headed, calm and respectful. Take notes rookies and hot heads.
Unbelievable he runs from the law and blames the deputies for his mommy's car getting torn up 😊
Looks like he can't afford his own car with his free hand out disability check.

Well, he was right, wasn't he? It says at the end of the description that they, "released him to the care of his mother," despite their earlier assurances that he would be going to jail.
@@adamellis6785 It also says that the jail medical staff could not accommodate his medical needs . He was charged with multiple charges and turned over to his mother . He didn't get away with anything. He most probably would have bonded out if they could take him in.

Kudos to Trooper Ellison, and thank you for your informative description. I'm disabled, and I'm thinking I'd only need to mention it once so they would know it's a special situation. Anyway, the thing that stuck out for me the most, and by far, was the respectful way Trooper Ellison spoke with that guy's mother. He knew she had been put through enough in this life.
I can’t fathom living every day with this level of intelligence. This dude must have cartoons on in his head 24/7
Holy smokes...that made me laugh way too much bud 🤣 😂 😆 💀
Seriously though?
It's a curse..
Being paralyzed doesn't give you free reign to break the law. Kudos to the first officer who approached with gun drawn, assessed the situation professionally and calmly.. even talked to the guys mother.
For sure. Being paralyzed-or black-doesn’t give you the right to flee police. And I’m a liberal. What a dumbass.
My question is IF he is so paralyzed WHY is his wheelchair in the trunk?
@@notme2day
Likely someone put it in there for him and wherever he was going would help him unload.
Still an idiot for running
In today's America, grown adults are no longer responsible for their own conduct and its impact on the safety of others. Everyone is a victim!
*free REIN, not free reign. Comes from riding horseback; you drop the REINS, and the horse goes where it wants.
Lots of respect for the trooper and how he handled the entire situation.
When he told the suspect, "I will hurt you", looking at him you can see that he would be pretty capable of doing that😄But Trooper Ellison carried himself like all LEOs should. Well done.
I was thinking the same thing.. Very professional
He just went back to the gym.
Lol. Man is pumped.

Nor does stupidity. 🙄
I wonder if the stupidity caused the paralyzation.
@@psikogeekyup, the parents were stupid and procreated.
Exactly. But stupidly seems to be oozing out of idiots like him, which contaminates everyone else. Is it getting worse in America? Or is it because of increased use of body cams by the police 👮♂️👮🏻♀️ ?
@@psikogeek That's what I was thinking too.
Let's be honest with ourselves here..... He's black. The majority of them don't want to be reasonable. Reecist this, victim that. Constant excuses for their shitty behavior. Selfishness has consumed their demographic. I absolutely would not be surprised if he's faking paralyzation "because reecist cops are killing them in droves" and strategically uses a health condition he doesn't have. BLM stays silent when blacks kill blacks. They don't care about black lives unless whitey kills one of them.
Damn this officer is a gentleman! He was SO respectful to the mom and the suspect. Kudos to you, officer. He is proof positive that police can be 100% effective while being kind and respectful. Its a matter of desire...✌🏾👏🏾💪🏾

Man, those cops are quick to PIT and I am all for it!!! Great job boys in blue, nice work.
Exactly how it should be done with every jurisdiction across the country.
So being paralyzed means you don't have to stop for cops? Wow, I never knew!
Seriously though, he was SO polite to that dude's mom! Such respect!
thing is... that line has probly worked for him hundreds of times in various situations
It got him out of going to jail though...
The jail refused to accept him because of his injuries prior too this incident. It’s in the narrative
Are you forgetting that he flew past a marked state police car doing 90 in a 45 to initiate the traffic stop?! And he's trying to play all innocent. 🤣
@@jayhemfindsyou Oh, but being paralyzed allows that also! How about you come break my lower spine so I can do 90mph everywhere too! (=
3:10 I almost died laughing, can't remember the last time I laughed so hard! That driver had the Tahoe at full revs the whole time trying to get away while the tail just keeps swaying everywhere.
Agree, almost wet my pants watching that ridiculous attempt.
Note to self: Before attempting to speed off, check for rear tires. Rims seem unsuitable for high speed driving.
If I was one of these suspects I'd be so EMBARRASSED.... they truly are at the bottom of the evolutionary scale...
It's impossible for them to be embarrassed...
Evolution cut them off like a bartender at closing time long before anyone else ever encountered them. West African DNA, where most slaves came from, is 20% pre-sapien.
Totally agree. If I could just go back in time and fix a stupid thing we did in our history.
They are raised by single black women who don't have a husband because they were illegitimately impregnated they didn't care who it was as long as they got a baby. The federal government will take care of them this has to come to an end. There are many single mothers and single fathers that raised perfectly honest and caring citizens.
N's simply being N's...
And they vote democrat no matter what.
Sounds like he feels privileged. He should have stopped and the jail needs to update to allow for wheelchair offenders.
Texas don't care what your medical issue is. Prison full of blind leading blind and walkers and wheel chairs, etc...
Difficult, expensive, and introducing more stuff to be turned into shivs and weapons...for an extremely rare situation. It would be a funny ADA lawsuit though. 😅
The real question is why it he in a chair?
Any given location, Intake/booking has wheelchairs. Usually used to strap down troublesome detainees. In my area, he would be held in the medical wing.
@nomenclature9373 restraint chairs are different than wheel chairs. And not all jails have a medical holding area. The jail I worked at had 4 wings (3 male, 1 female) one drunk tank and one isolation cell. We usually had 1-2 deputies working, 1 dispatcher/911 operator and 1 jailer working.
BLM pass or disable pass. He tried both thinking he gets special treatment. Sorry Flash but you get none.
The usual stupid and ignorant kind that just never listen or can follow the easiest command. The patience these officers have is way more than he deserves.
Trooper Ellison needs to be PRAISED...his compassion and level head kept this situation from becoming deadly. The fact he even spoke to the suspects mother on the cell arranging for her to come to the location is amazing.
The guy is a whiner, my momma, momma should leave him in jail. He created his own jail time by doing what he did. Sometimes one has to wonder about people.
I hope she did. I'm sure it was her vehicle he severely damaged.
The fact that he is questioning why he is being arrested says a lot.
Coolest pit EVER!!!! If all officers were like Trooper Ellison the world would be in a better place.

So does being paralyzed give you some kind of special privilege when being pulled over by the police? Just wondering sir.
Apparently so. He was released to his mother and didn't go to jail.
Mama is definitely going to think twice before she allows Marvin to borrow her car again.
His Lawyers, the Judge & D.A. will no doubt fight to get his Driver's' License back!!!

What a nice respectful criminal. Always called the cop sir. His mom must be proud.
I'm sure that she is! And he loves his Mama. I guess getting himself and multiple police escorts to Mama's house was more important than oberying a lawful order to pull over and STOP.
LOL
I 💘it! Hilarious!! 😁😁
If he's paralyzed, that SUV must be specially set up with hand brake and speed controls. Which, among other special assistance features makes the vehicle expensive. If that money was raised via a fund raise drive, this makes him entirely ungrateful.

For someone that’s paralyzed, he sure could work that gas and brake pedal 😂
I'm not sure though if it is his vehicle that has hand controls set up in it for someone without use of their legs to operate...or if he is claiming to be paralyzed from the pit maneuver - which would obviously be a false claim as he continued to operate the foot controls after the pit.
I don't know if the wheel chair was his - or if it was supplied by the police?...the officer did refer to it as 'your wheelchair' to the driver though.

I’m truly having a hard time understanding how he chose to be so stupid. I too have been spotted by a trooper driving 90 mph. When turned on his lights behind me I pulled over immediately ready to accept my fate.
And you were never beaten by police, or had ANY reason to be "scared", or went to jail.
All you ended up with was a warning, maybe a ticket, and you were back on your merry way, right?
Funny how that works....

His fishtails remind me of how one of my high school buddies liked to drive on ice covered roads. One time he took his over-protective mother out for a “spin” while I rode in the back seat. She had no idea he was going to do spins on the ice or that he even knew how to do that. Oh my, I’ve never heard such terrified screams like that in my whole life! Meanwhile Will and I just laughed our heads off. Will practiced diligently and got to where he could do seven linear spins in a single run and never scratched a curb even once.
That same friend - on his 16th birthday, going for his driver’s license exam, backed his year of birth up by five years on his application and claimed that he was just moving to town from another state. The DMV office in my town, who only had a single employee who ran the whole show, never questioned him for a second. Old man Mierhead proceeded to give my buddy a state-issued driver’s license that said he was 21 even though he was 16! He bought beer for the rest of us throughout the remainder of high school! Those were the good old days…
His legs move pretty good for someone who is paralyzed.
" I be paralyzed!" 😂
Best PIT done by the FINEST OFFICER on this planet‼️😍
My question is, how did he put the wheelchair in the back of his vehicle ? How does he get the wheelchair out of the back of the vehicle if he is paralyzed ? That should be the questions the officers should be asking.
Maybe he’s referring to color
I imagine he has people help him with the wheelchair.
I've seen it all now with this group of usual suspects. You take away their legs and paralyze them and they still go on high speed pursuits and act a fool. Scott Adams was right, you can't fix this.
Well, kinda low speed pursuit
Did you see the one where the double leg amputee tried running from the officers on his stumps? It's on Donut Operator's channel.
@@benjaminrapp7418or the video of the guy with no arms who committed armed robbery. I think that one was also on donuts channel.
great work on the officers part. he didn't knee jerk react to an intense situation and listened to what the kid was saying about being paralyzed and still took the appropriate actions to control the situation while respecting the kid as a human being, human being that made a dumb choice but human none the less. Bravo... and kid maybe watch the way you drive next time.
Wonder if his original paralysis was the result of a self inflicted injury that was caused by someone else and if his last one will be. I remember one rescue call where a neighbor kid was paralyzed like this in a motorcycle accident and a few years later we went on another rescue call involving him and his brother finding his chair in the street and be him in the car dead. It was tough having to go with the trooper to tell his parents.
I would guess he has used “I’m paralyzed” to get out of things he has done in the past, only he was dealing with ASP this time. “I was taking you out to my mom’s house.” That is the lamest statement ever.
how did i know it was going to be the usual suspect yet again. think the cure for alcoholism would be forcing the alcoholic into a drinking game of take a shot when it isn't the usual suspect, they would never get drunk!
I'm handicapped. Rules don't apply to me. I'm hoping you'll go away if I act stoopid
Hopefully the lesson the mom learns is to never, ever loan him a vehicle again.
Trooper Ellison extremely calm and patient. Suspect should be happy going to jail, instead of being under the jail. Appears he uses his "handicapped" status in trying to get out of situations, he got himself into. Maybe he will learn from this, Trooper Ellison compassionate, but firm. Not one to play with. With his unsafe driving, very fortunate to be released in mother's care, that is a break.
He was just tryin to get his mom house so he could study for his graduate school exam. I love black ppl!!! 😂😂😂
Drag him out, he won't run.
He needs a great big sign on the back of his SUV that says. 'If I goin to my mama's house I don't have to follow police commands. Oh, and I"M PARALYZED.'
The suspect gives a whole new meaning to HOT WHEELS
Surprised he didn't opt for the common excuses; "I'm pregnit!" "I cain't breeve!"

That cop with the physique could be the next action flick hero.
Right?! I'm straight and even I think he's hot. My gal spotted that in a bar and said "Three way?" I'd hesitate for about 2 seconds. Let the spitroasting and Eiffel towering begin.
My husband did this then blamed his driving on the wheels, then asked why the wheels, he blamed the authorities for planting a forest in the middle of the road 🙄😡 I was home waiting with our baby at home and two police and he came watlzing in the door in hysterics. I like how he plays the game until he’s caught then all of a sudden, I’m paralyzed. Same as guys who run jump fences fight back and all of a sudden when handcuffed they have a bad back or bad knee. Wasn’t an issue while fleeing.
This guy was in a vehicle with a wheelchair and a hand control for the pedals. I don't think it's the same.

Onviously, his damn flappin' mouth ain't ,"paralyzed "
I don't mean any disrespect, because this is a serious matter, but Trooper Ellis is a nice looking, well built man.
😍
Thinking the same over here. I've got the vapors...
I mean, I don't really see how that could be disrespectful. And the video isn't really that serious. No one died or was seriously hurt, the guy probably won't even get in serious trouble, since the issue appears to be more that he is too dumb to know what he is doing rather than a hardened criminal fleeing justice. It will almost definitely be just probation if he has a clean record. It might give him a felony, but they will probably downgrade the charges.
I mean, you do realize he was already paralyzed right, that wasn't something that happened in the video.
Somebody please give that trooper a blue ribbon for the best PIT I've seen in awhile! He moved up to the sweet spot on the passenger side. That video should be used for training to PIT SUV's.
His drifting skills are quite impressive
Reminds me of a kid I went to school with who got away with everything because he was in a wheelchair. Wouldn't be surprised if this is how he turned out as an adult.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the courtroom when he tells the judge how innocent he is.
"What are you doing to me?" "Arresting your UmbDass!!"
Tires? TIRES? I don’t need no stinking tires
Perfect pit maneuver at over 90 MPH! In LA they won't do a pit at more than ~35 MPH, and most of the time they won't do it at all.
People put wheelchairs behind driver seat, but not in the trunk of an SUV when they are the only person in the vehicle. They could be relying on someone to get it out for them when they arrive at their destination, but what if something comes up? The wheelchair is his legs, why didn't he call rescue for his mother?
Messed up that they released him to the care of a woman that was on her deathbed.
The man's in a wheelchair, then he should be sent to a medical facility, if the jail can't accept him. Hospitals are expensive, but there are Mental Hospitals and they are equipped to deal with people and not release them.
