Awwww, Kara... you know, I can't think of much worse than being sick when you're away from home/travelling. When I'm sick, all I want is my own bed in my own place. The familiarity is so comforting. In all the month's you'd been traveling, this was the first time either one of you had really been sick. That was a pretty good track record.
Have binged watched most of your vlogs all afternoon and absolutely love them! I visited Vietnam last year and am going again in a months time (So excited) Just wanted to point out within getting into the ancient town, there is absolutely no charge to getting into the area. Some local vietnamese will stand around and try to charge tourists but they have no right. The best option is to either walk past them and act as if you didnt hear them or just turn a corner and enter on another street. Some vietnamese are very sneaky! just a hint if you go back again or if anyone in the comment section if planning on going!
Jaymee Pringle do some military aswell to learn more abuet the vietnam war if your not intrestid just do the cho chi tunnles and the war museums beacuse its part of there histrey and culter but just do one musum or the tunneles
We were in Hoi An for New Years and it was a blast. There was a New Years celebration in the downtown area with Vietnamese girls dancing on a stage in go go boots like in the 60's.
So, there is pastry shop here in Portland, Oregon that mixes chocolate into the croissant dough as well as fills it with Chocolate. It’s is literally the best chocolate croissant I have ever had.
Wow...cool stamp!!...man sucks to be sick out of country...I know your better, it's been 2 years :0) y'all are always in prayers for safe travels...BIG HUGS FROM IDAHO
Hope you get well soon Kara! :) Oh and if next time you're in Hoi An, please try the VNmese sandwich there :P It's like the best in the country IMO haha :D
U have to rest whenever you can you guys r on a long journey.bye bye Asia...i have seen alot of blogs yours was the first to make me want to go to Vietnam ...esp hanoi..good job ya'll I always stop in thailand(first Asia love) when I travel.have u thought about Portugal.super cheap;) well good luck and safe travels Kelly nyc
I don't think you can even compare chicken noodle soup with Pho soup. Pho is so much better. I know you weren't comparing it but if my mom gave me Pho soup when I was sick I would not be sick the next day lol.
Was there last night and they still haven't sorted out the entry charge. A few people would get stopped and asked here and there. Honestly, I don't understand what the fee is even for
I believe they name of the restaurant with the chocolate croissant is called the Cargo club cafe and restaurant. You can type that into google maps and it will pull it up
Hey guys I know its different preferences but how would you rate the countries in SEA so far in order. I'm sure they're all good. We've been to Tokyo and it was great but Vietnam just seems to have that mysterious quality with all the history.
Love your vlogs you two are very cute together. If I may say something (sorry, I'm french so I couldn't resist), it's wrong to call it a Chocolate Croissant. The croissant has been named like that because of its crescent shape, like the moon. Croissant is the french word for crescent. As you can see, “chocolate croissants“ don't have this shape so they shouldn't be called croissants. In french we say “Pains au chocolat“ which translates into chocolate bread. Haha sorry for the lecture, I just couldn't help it as a french person. Keep up the good vlogs! By the way I chose signature cruise thanks to you guys!
Hi kara/Nate, can I ask how do you communicate with the locals in this region ? Is it easy to get the message across in English when buying something or asking for directions ?
Kara and Nate re: Sydney, go with 'Seasons Darling Harbour' (38 Harbour Street, Sydney 2000) US$105 'Studio Apartment', wont normally find cheaper than that right in the city on short notice
Did you guys have any problems with mosquitos in Vietnam? i am going in a month and my family is making me worry about zika lol i am a mosquito magnet so i an a lil worried now haha
Tommy Van what?? Street food in Asia is hands down the best food I've ever eaten. It's always fast, cooked in front of you which I consider safe, fresh and amazing. It's actually key to stick to street food if you want to save money
Your vlogs are never uneventful. They are great.
I mean, your stamp in Hanoi was SUPER simple compared to this one so I guess I'd expect it to be more?

+Tina Phu That sounds super good! I wish we weren't leaving today :( next time!
Did you try the Cao Lau in Hoi An, a local speciality of Pork, Noodles & greens...only place in the world you can get it....mmmmm
Hoi An is not known for it's food. It's more the scenery and ambiance and shopping
Gwen Huynh and vietcong war vilonce and its military history but also it yousto be a big war there aswell never for get that ever
Load up w: tumeric, lemon, & ginger shots to boost immune system when you are traveling p
A ring with a family crest on it, you speak of a Signet Ring...
That was fun ...Hope the chicken soup made you well .
Am I right in saying you were underwhelmed with Hoi An or is it just the effect of Kara being unwell that had a bearing on your experience of there?
We just moved to Hoi An, loving it so far after three weeks. you can check out our experiences on our channel TheTravelingDukes
I love your videos and she is pretty.
Was there last night and they still haven't sorted out the entry charge. A few people would get stopped and asked here and there. Honestly, I don't understand what the fee is even for
But now that there's an alleyway, next time you go, you can try that. :-)
It's a scam, just keep walking next time
Kara I can tell Nate is taking good care of you, poor thing feel better. :(
+peepercoco Thank you, I'm feeling a lot better today :)
I'm heading to Ho Chi Minh city, Da Nang and Hoi An next week. Will try follow your trail. What is the name of the croissant shop in Hoi An?
I believe they name of the restaurant with the chocolate croissant is called the Cargo club cafe and restaurant. You can type that into google maps and it will pull it up

Hoi an still in hanoi?
Which city/country are you originally from? Hhmm vlog style is like a combo of Casey Neistat and Nathan Figueroa (Nate Figgs) and Mr Ben Brown
We're from Nashville, Tennessee in the USA! And we'll take that as a compliment :)
Kara and Nate re: Sydney, go with 'Seasons Darling Harbour' (38 Harbour Street, Sydney 2000) US$105 'Studio Apartment', wont normally find cheaper than that right in the city on short notice
Kara and Nate FYI Sydney accommodation is very very expensive US$105 is a bargain
Did you guys have any problems with mosquitos in Vietnam? i am going in a month and my family is making me worry about zika lol i am a mosquito magnet so i an a lil worried now haha
Hoi
You guys are too brave for trying street foods.
Tommy Van what?? Street food in Asia is hands down the best food I've ever eaten. It's always fast, cooked in front of you which I consider safe, fresh and amazing. It's actually key to stick to street food if you want to save money
