My father was a Navy Corpsman with the 1st Marine Division during the 1st year of the Korean conflict. He received his commendation with a V for service at battalion aid during the battle of Chosin. I have the original citation but it doesn't really have a lot of details. Of course my father never talked about it. I can't help but wonder what he saw and did.
I was wondering.if there was a ribbon for the Cold War period and if so where would it fall on the ribbon rack? I was.on active duty from 73 to 86 in the Corps.

there is an unofficial ribbon with the Cold War commemorative medal. (see commemorative medal video) . it is not authorized for wear.
You mentioned a new navy book. Do you have a idea when that’s releasing?
Edit: never mind
