MTA, DeCamp, NJ Transit, Coach USA Bus PM Rush Action Outside of Port Authority Bus Terminal & More!

Footage of a variety of buses models from various operators on many different routes outside of Port Authority Bus Terminal. Buses were filmed at three general locations: Dyer Avenue & West 41st Street, West 40th Street & 10th Avenue, and West 40th Street near the Lincoln Tunnel Entrance. During the PM rush there are a lot of buses which enter and exit the nearby bus lots, or layover on adjacent streets before or after completing a trip. Buses in this video include the following carriers/operators:

- NJ Transit
- DeCamp Bus Lines
- Coach USA (ShortLine Bus, Community Coach)
- Trans-Bridge Bus Lines
- Pine Hill Trailways
- Community Lines
- Express Service
On April 7, 2023, DeCamp discontinued all their commuter bus lines because of ridership and revenue losses as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Work from home (WFH) in particular has disrupted traditional commuting patterns, leaving many transit agencies across the country either revamping their service models to adjust to new patterns. New Jersey Transit is partially replacing service with the 191D, 192D, 195D, and 199D routes.

I grew up in Newark NJ. I remember Public Service bus service before they became New Jersey Transit. In grade school, when we went on field trips, I think they were on DeCamp buses.
