When I saw 80k I was done. These trucks are getting too pricey it’s ridiculous. I’ll just stick to my 2021 Nissan Titan Pro-4x
Buy a single cab ram for 33k.
Nissan does a lot with very little, and it’s priced accordingly. Old tech underneath, and that’s fine too. If it works, it works.

for 80k, the quality is absolute bs. leather rip on the raised part where you get in/out within 5 months of purchase

I have a 2020 Rebel… only thing I wish I had from this truck is the shifter. My last ram had the console shifter and I got used to resting my hand on it.. I miss that. But I don’t “$80,000” miss that.
I went with pretty much most of what this one has but not the blackout or GT package. My tailgate is a split one, too. It’s a LOT easier to get stuff out the back with that feature. I 86’d the running boards this one has, and did aftermarket rock sliders, and a hard tonneau cover.
$80k ?!?! Wow ! In 2021 I could have bought a brand new Rebel demo for $47k !

The difference on ram between MSRP and invoice is rather large. And it's not hard to get these at or below invoice so i'd expect to pay about $10k below MSRP on this.

That's a very nice truck, but I had a loaded 21' Rebel and there is no way I would consider it to be an 80k truck.
Hydro Blue is still my favorite colour!
I got mine in hydro blue two tone with black on the bottom.
In Canada 🇨🇦 this truck retails for $77k cdn, thinking 🤔 I’m going to trade my 2019 Rebel in! Great review! I love the exhaust, the centre shifter and don’t forget the metal style pedals on the G/T.

Late comment. I ordered my GT back in August 2022. Got it at the end of February 2023. I have the tendency to change vehicles every 12-18 months. I chose the GT over the TRX because I do more in town driving and I don't keep them long. I ordered everything except the air suspension. I friggin love it. I'm keeping it. I already have 8000 miles on it. I usually trade in between 8000 and 12000 miles. I think it's because I ordered it with the options I wanted rather than settling with what the dealership had on the lot at the time

RAM needs to start putting the Hurricane 6 in these trucks as an option like yesterday. Still offer the Hemi for those who prefer the V8. Need to get those prices down to where they were in 2019 too since interest rates are 2.5 times what they were then. I owned one of these for a few months but sold it and bought a used truck for cash.

Exactly! My Ford dealer where I live has XLT models listed for just under $70k! They just got a Raptor in for $80k msrp. I dont know if they have a markup on it though, but id much rather spend the extra $10k on the Raptor than an XLT

After seeing the price I can understand why more people are looking into chevy over Ram.
I considered it, but they’re priced pretty much the same feature for feature. The Ram ZF8 transmission is about the best one possible to get on a half ton truck, and that 5.7 hemi has been around a minute or two. So they’re both very well-sorted. Chevy has that awful 10 spd transmission coupled with relatively new engines.
It varies but for the most part, Chevy's tend to have the best value. A Trailboss is about as capable, and costs a reasonable amount less than this particular Rebel. For $80K, you could basically get a ZR2, which out does the Rebel in essentially every way.
Probably equipped trucks from Ford RAM and Chevy are within a couple thousand dollars of each other
@@dallasfrost1996 Thanks for the laugh. You couldn't pay me to own another GM, the last one I had completely fell apart at 110,000 miles. The transmission was failing the dashboard was destroyed, the seats, armrest, paint, steering wheel, visors, carpet and paneling had effectively rotted away. It was worthless, and I'm good to my vehicles. But taking care of something that's complete JUNK doesn't matter.
As far as the Z72 "outdoing the Rebel in every way", that has to be a joke. I spec'd one out just now the same way mine is, and that thing comes in at an eye watering $85K - with that extremely crappy 10-speed transmission - no thanks. Furthermore, it can't tow nearly as much as the Rebel, and the German made ZF8 transmission is far superior. I have the adjustable air suspension which allows me to have the best aerodynamic height and when necessary 11 inches of ground clearance. Sorry, but no sale. Love your GM if you want to, but I've owned three, and I'm long over them. Finally, the Trail Boss might as well be called the Mall Boss for all its laughable capability. No thanks, and no sale.
Does Ram claim the air intake increases performance or is it just to sound better?
It's like 15 to 20 hp max with the cold air and exhaust its not much but the sound is insane I have one . The best sound is from cold starts

You don’t really feel the difference, but you can definitely hear it!
Maybe it has something to do with government regs or something. As an old dragracer from the early 70's, the cold air intake should add at least 10 HP to the stock 395 HP. Maybe a little more.@@kcp7042

You don’t have to sell me on the truck or any truck for that matter, it’s the price that has me running away. I make $100 grand and have great credit and I won’t even consider a $50,000 anything let alone f-n 80! NEVER buy new!
100%! I just bought a used, two year old fully loaded Rebel for $45k instead of the same exact build for $85k new
I would never purchase these trucks used. They’re abused and traded in for newer model years. They’re driven hard and often drag raced on the roads.
Keep in mind, the pandemic caused the $2T+ Treasury bailout for the U.S. economy, resulted in more cash circulation, therefore causing prices EVERYWHERE to go up to absorb that cash. Many people took the pandemic checks and now its time to pay it back. This is how its been done since 1913. With that being said, the Rebel GT only provides a v8 with the best fuel economy; if thats not a concern then the TRX is a better choice. I only wish there was more comfortable seats like the 23’ RaptoR recaro seats.

The interior is pretty good but there’s so much ugly black plastic on the outside of the truck that it really gives off a cheap look.

This is why I still have my 2012 F150. I don't even have 100k miles and it runs fine for me.

Even if this truck got the 6.4L Hemi and the Bilsteins black hawk shocks I would not pay $80K for this pretending to be Cheaper TRX alternative.
The value is not there, heck even the previous Ram 1500 RT well equipped would not go above $55K
