This is such a strange dynamic and really showcases the hobby spectrum. One is chirpy, seems genuinely excited about the game and seems like a great opponent, the other looks like he'd rather be anywhere else, is overly smug with his 'ackhtually' and is the type of person you would play once. I want to listen to what Rich has to say, I want to switch it off when Quinn starts talking.
To add on to how good Asajj is, her healing is 7 distinct recover which means you can split the effect on multiple characters within range 2 instead of fully healing a single character
1:32:20 I don't think Grievous' card reading "another" is a mistake. I think it's a deliberate idiot proofing mechanism. As someone who's *repeatedly* forgotten Grievous isn't a droid in Star Wars Legion, I feel explicitly calling out 'another' is a way of preventing a potentially very common mistake.
3 months on it would be great to see how you feel your assessments were based on the game today, and who was right/wrong between you 2. Thanks for the content as always 👍
39:48 i would have like to see some discussion on the counterplay against maul. He's guaranteeing your opponent 2 momentum and 2 activations of any of their, "when you defeat an enemy unit" abilities. Or your opponent leaves him on low health so that you'd have to suicide him to use his abilities. Low B-tier. 1:15:41 his active forces your opponent to guard their back line objectives as GI can stand in the middle and strip a back point. Not that i think this changes him much but it is worth consideration All that aside good video and good discussion.
Vader's Jedi Hunter version having the Galactic Empire tag makes more sense when you consider how long the actual rise of the empire took, after it was declared by Palpatine. Vader got put into the suit and the Empire was formally a thing, but a lot of Republic institutions and characters were still around and being used. They didn't suddenly start deploying TIEs, and were still using Clones with their dropships, for instance. The Stormtrooper program did not exist for years! Vader was quite literally working alongside Clone Troopers, which the game only has as part of the Galactic Republic, so barring Vader in this version from allying or interacting with Clones would be uncanonical nonsense. The Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith comic series representation is pretty much what they had in mind here, along with the Inquisitors, even though the diorama with Obi-wan is set later. It's Vader during his transitional period, and it's not even his final suit. And yeah, he had to climb.
I suppose I would look at it this way. Should Vader have the Galactic Republic Tag, or should some of the Clones have the Empire tag - because what you’ve described isn’t Vader under the GR, it’s the clones under GE. I do get your point, I just Anakin ‘death’ and Vaders ‘birth’ being the end of the GR and the beginning of the GE. I also think this was round, you could have limited who Vader had access to play with.
With so many A's would it make sense to adjust the some of them to B or is there a noticable gap between Mother and Grevious? They seem to be pretty close, but maybe it is about the synergies available to her.
really loving the discussion as someone who has not even picked up the game yet! haha. would you guys have any advice on what to start with box wise to get into the game?
Core box is a little strange as there is very little synergy. I would say right now to either start by also adding either the Dooku or Obi Wan box and going Seps or GR.
I’ve just bought the starter kit and the inquisitor box, have you played using inquisitors yet? I’m thinking of trying to take Maul as my primary, just because he’s a favourite of mine
The reason why ahsoka should be b is easy actually. It is because she enables mix and mash builds. Nothing on her card is in any way keyword reliant and she works on her own. She is a source of semi regular healing and usually zlyou can expect people to not focus her which in turn means she takes very little out of your force supply. She doesnt have massive game impact but she is a very low comitment save pick for builds that want to mix it up heavily, with the only other character somewhat foing that being maul, which i would arguee is such a polar opposite to her that they really dont compete for the same spot mostly.
I have been using Vader with the inquisitors and a couple clones and while I agree that the grand inquisitors on his own is a bit lackluster, he and vader together are a nasty combo
When you guys say ARC troopers do you mean Comandos. Or there are actual ARC troopers on the game? Great job guys love your videos thank you for sharing
I think you are sleeping on the Grand Inquisitor esp his remove the marker, it is really good to deny scoring in rds 2 and 3 as well as the refresh of force when a force user is wounded and Vader wounds
Dooku, is very reliant on positioning, but if he is well positioned and get to use his abilities, he is a real workhorse. Also you are saying it yourself, if he is making you not focus down his primaries and secondaries, that in itself is a strength that you can exploit. He is also the most mobile fighter in the game. The amount of mobility he has in his combat tree, is unmatched.
Now that I've got a few more reps under my belt, I feel you've ranked Maul too low. I think he's unequivocally S tier. He can go in any list, always has force, and his pull/expose move is the most unstoppable kill combo in the game. He can, without too much trouble, one shot an 11 health character in a single activation, with no force expenditure. An absolute force of nature.
I'm firmly in Quinn's camp when it comes to Grievous. Asajj has some useful tech but the sheer strength of synergy that Grievous brings with Onward and Appetite for Destruction is just way better than what Asajj can hope to handle. Whenever Grievous is around he's just an absolute menace on the table.
Vader literally gives everyone in your list 3 extra attack dice in melee .... people think Obi is the S tier because he gives everyone an extra defense dice ..... more impactful :/
You guys are insane for thinking Ahsoka is not good, i've played her 6 ganes with 100% winrate, she is so brutally hard to take down, and she is so fast with force speed and fierce protector she gets on any objective she wants to. Remember towards is 90 degrees so it's really flexible for moving outside of your activation to get an objective and heal.
We’ve both played many, many games with and against her. Yes she is hard to take down but all but one other 4 threat for GAR is a better overall team choice and she isn’t even the best at running the Mandos
@@RichMidGaming Her swing potential is very high. She has multiple ways of moving outside of her activation, a double push within 3 boxes, and extremely hard to wound which makes all of that really cheap for her. Her abilities both deter you for fighting her directly, while also pumishing you for fighting her allies. I think you're severly undervaluing her inate ability, it's won me games.
This is such a strange dynamic and really showcases the hobby spectrum.

It’s more the part that Grevious is a Droid in this game, but shouldn’t be - he is a cyborg.

I kinda hate when Quinn is always correcting Rich. Team Rich here all the way.
”Axchually” -Quinn
I've been looking forward to this video

Luminara's identity is really strong. I have been playing her in inquisitors and if you want to see an adult cry full heal 5th brother
YAY been looking forward to this ! :) Luminara

I ran Luminara and Mace the other day. Mace would take a ton of damage and Luninara would erase it all. Well worth the 2 force to use.
love your guys stuff but me here waiting for the maul discussion just to wait and see where ventress goes lol
Great video! Love the cover of all the characters and the thoughts of the characters. 🖤

Fantastic video. I enjoyed the banter and analysis. Is building a Vader team with Inquisitors good with Pond right now?

No (it may be our accents), we are saying ARF troopers.
Mace looks at grievous,
“You are A-tier. But we do not grant you the rank of master.”
I think you are sleeping on the Grand Inquisitor esp his remove the marker, it is really good to deny scoring in rds 2 and 3 as well as the refresh of force when a force user is wounded and Vader wounds
Maul in future scoundrel bounty hunter lists mark these words. Paired with queen amidala ofcourse to round up the cartel.
Does force push (and other similar abilities) interact with steadfast?
No, steadfast only stops one shove as part of a combat action.
Great tier list guys 😂

Is that a primary unit or are you just happy to see me
Rich over here SIMPIN' for evil bald women.
Anakin might be the model that loves me the most on tts, that I still don’t want to play😂

yup i think so too
Agree on Anakin being more impactful than Vader there.
Vader literally gives everyone in your list 3 extra attack dice in melee .... people think Obi is the S tier because he gives everyone an extra defense dice ..... more impactful :/
Why we are brave....... who was asking for her this early... or at all lol
my favorite trilogy :DDDDDDDDDDDD
brave but foolish… brave but foolish… brave but foolish… my ptsd starts kicking in.😅😂
