I just bought a 1951 B back in March. It sat for ten years not running. Today I put it to work hauling straw. Will be using it to run my buzz saw I got for 150 bucks

THAT BRINGS BACK OLD MEMORIES ESPECIALLY OFF BERRING BUT THAT WAS A FAST WAY TO MAKE WOOD IVAN FROM ILLINOIS.

Growing up on the farm we had a set up just like this, except our was a “A” John Deere! Oh my that brings back memories as it was a long time ago!

That's an interesting tension system on that belt. Also interesting dash on that B! Surprised it's so early.

That's how I cut all my wood. My buzz saw was mounted on a little John Deere BR.

I have one, similar to this, on the nose of my 730 J. D. Diesel. I’ve sawn with it for over 35 years.

Who made your saw? I'd like to find one to mount on my B.

Nice setup, I'd like to see details on the belt tensioner, also must be a nice sharp blade.

Sure have that blade singing a tune going through that wood. We do exactly the same thing.....bring all the pole wood home and stack it for the buzz saw instead of using the chainsaw in the woods. Cracks me up when guys tell you how much faster they are with the chainsaw than an old saw rig.... Now if you guys were running that with a nice quiet Massey Harris the video would be one of the BEST on youtube !!! Just joking, I have JD tractors too.
