- I took this 2021 Taycan 4S on a trip and drove like I would driver every car when I go for a long distance travel on the german Autobahn. Does it bring me to my destination or is it breaking down before?
What can you expect from a EV when you just drive it with no worries about the range? Do we get fooled?
0 - 100 and 100 - 200 kph are measured with overboost and in normal driving.

The range is about what I expected at those speeds, the consumption can go much lower if you drive at a constant 200 km/h using the cruise control
Some other guys did this they have reached 188 km. You have to keep in mind that a lot of Golf's and Polo's can do 200 kph
@@notempolimita Golf also does 280 km/h if you buy the "proper" one. About your last argument: The time lost on long trips is easily equalized by the time not needing to stop at a gas station ever again in the daily commute though, at least for us here. Could charge at Aldi, work, a few meters from our flat or at any fast food chain around us anyway 🤷
And the Taycan is definitely not more overpriced than the slower, more sluggish Panamera 😂
Well until you plugged your cable and walked back home from Aldi, I am already done filling up gas. What do you mean Panamera is slower? 272kph is faster than 250kph 😂

@@BVZTIII I got a grocery store in walking distance, no need to use a car. No it's not cheaper. If I caluclate with 66kwh/100 and 79 cents at ionity compared to 21L/100km like my old BMW V8 drinks on driven 250kph based on 1,82€ for 98 octane gas I save 13,92€ per 100km. But the problem are not EV's. It's fine when people like them, the problem is goverments are forcing car makers to bring up more software and assistance stuff, forcing them to downsize and electrify. That's not my understanding of free market behavour and also liberty. That's the reason a lot of people feel disgusted by EV's and persons who drive EV's. I hope society will get back to a normal freely life, where people can decide, what the prefer to drive, whether it's a V8 with no plugin hybrid crap or a fully electronic vehicle, and no cares, because it's everyones own decision.

Endlich ein Video, in dem der Leistung entsprechend gefahren wird.
Auch ich bin auf der DE Autobahn so unterwegs, wenn ich z.B. ein paar mal im Jahr meine Schwester besuche (Basel - Karlsruhe - Stuttgart - Augsburg).
Normal fahre ich mit vollem Tank los. Dann muss ich NICHT nachtanken und habe zum Teil keine oder eine Pinkelpause.
Da muss mir niemand mit "man macht ja eh regelmässig 15-30min Pause, da kann man auch mal nachladen" kommen.
Ich würde gerne auf ein E-Fahrzeug umsteigen, da es für mich im Alltag gut passen würde........ Durch das (Lang)Strecken "Problem" ist es für mich im Moment aber leider noch keine Option.
Wenn du da kurz nach Freiburg reinrittst kommst, mit dem E-Auto, nicht mal bis Karlsruhe hoch. 😂 Schnell fahren ist auch teurer als mit dem Verbrenner. Ich würde mir das auf gar keinen Fall kaufen, das kann ich nach fast 1000km und 4 Tagen sicher sagen. Laden geht auch nicht so schnell wie behauptet wird. Ich habe es nicht 1x in unter 30min geschafft um auf über 80% zu kommen, das ist Wahnsinn was da für Lebenszeit weggeht.
That is also my conclusion .. Diesel for the long hauls, where my E class easy does 5l/100km .. and the EV for shorter daily work commute :)
Fully agree. I love my Mercedes E-class for the longer drives, but could prefer the EV for the local shorter trips
This is pretty much the only country in the world where you would have problems. Here in the UK the top speed on motorways is 70mph and the abundance of speed cameras means you can't go much above that.
@@don_kandon6006 the new 4s has a range of 318 miles which is plenty. Here in the UK that is the equivalent of four and a half hours of continuous driving on the motorway which no one one does.
+120 years of combustion engines development agains a few years electric. I still prefeer a 911 turbo S.

Ya thank you, this confirms my expectations. I drive 2 times a week a distance of 730 km with my Diesel V8 - no refuel, non-stop the the whole distance at any speed possible - at night going 200, 240, 260, 280 km/h. Average speed over the distance is 156 km/h so that I make it in 4 h 40 min ... faster than the ICE high speed train that takes 6 h for the distance including its stops. So I considered taking a Taycan to stop every 250 km to make that same with 2 stops. This will not work as we see here, I would need 5 or 6 stops. Maybe in 10 years when they have 200 kWh batteries we can revisit the concept ...
There is a facelifted Taycan out now that is noticeably better. It can do about 250km at 200km/h, charging time is under 20 minutes. Definitely a lot better at least.
I dont belive this, I has driven 6 years an Cayenne S Diesel V8, with 250km/h and faster was the consumption higher than 20l/100km, storys of the Pauline garden
because of their range and charging time, electric cars of today are little more than toys in my opinion.
I have just learned that I actually use a toy, sorry a little more than a toy, to go to work everyday. You wont believe, last weekend we got in this toy with my family and traveled 250 miles!

I've lived with a 4S ST as a daily for 3 months over winter. I've been all over the UK in it and have had zero issues. Rapid charging is a breeze ...
But my "toy" doesn't run on Russian oil.
300-500 electric range for some of them and home charging is a good start

Could you make the same video with Tesla S plaid or with the regular S so that it has similar parameters to this Taycan. It would be very interesting.
Since I like my life it's not a good idea to drive a Tesla on highspeeds, since they are not known for good quality.

Fukcing pathetic really.My ICE GT is faster at top end and if i sat on those speeds my range would outlast this bucket of junk.BTW these are worthless after a couple of years.

260km/h Mijał auta lewym pasem. Teraz jego mijali. Trzeba oszczędzać baterie. Tak samo jak paliwo żeby dłużej pojechać 😁
Prawda, testowałem przelot na trasie Polska-Belgia 1200km. W trybach;
- Maksymalna dozwolona + gdzie dozwolone 220km/h
- Spokojnie do 130km/h.
Różnica w czasie dojazdu niewielka, gdyż samochód tylko 40 litrów zbiornik paliwa i jadąc szybko spaliło 5 baków paliwa, a spokojnie niecałe 3, dzięki czemi 2 razy nie trzeba było stać w kolejce do dystrybutora, następnie do kasy itp. Więc z tych 2 godzin co się zaoszczędziło jadąc szybciej została godzina po odliczeniu postoju na stacjach, więc nie wiele zważywszy że jadąc szybko wyszło 10h, a wolniej 11h. Natomiast różnica w portfelu znaczna, zamiast 16 L na 100 km i prawie 200 litrów paliwa, było 7-8 L i około 90 litrów paliwa. Ceny 100 okatnowej wtedy sięgały 2 euro, więc koszt paliwa w pierwszym przypadku ~900pln, natomiast w drugim ~400pln.
Tyle w temacie małego silnika benzynowego.
Podsumowując radość z jazdy jest kosztowna :D
Przyjdzie czas na test w 3 L dieslu, tutaj różnica powinna być już mniejsza, wciąż znacznie taniej będzie wolniej, jednakże z jednym tankowaniem może czasowo się chociaż opłaci ;)
Nie prowadzisz prawidłowo. Przejechanie 1500 kilometrów na południe Francji zajmuje mi 11 godzin. W porządku, jeśli nie potrafisz jeździć szybko, ale nie opowiadaj innym bajek o tym, że nie oszczędzasz czasu.
Bateria przegrzewa się, a następnie przestaje działać szybciej
@@notempolimit Poleciłbym Panu wpierw przeczytać ze zrozumieniem o czym napisałem, a później się wypowiadać ;)
- Uwzględniłem, iż ów samochód ma bardzo mały zbiornik paliwa, i czasu schodzi bardzo dużo na stacjach paliw, gdyż zazwyczaj są kolejki za dnia. Mając 40l i spalając 16l/100 mam maksymalny zasięg 250km - dolicz odstępy między stacjami, dodaj coś rezerwy i zatrzymać się trzeba naprawdę często.
Dodatkowo to co wyżej opisuję to zwykła jazda, ze standardowym zatłoczeniem na tej konkretnej trasie, w pełni przepisowo, od wyjazdu ze wsi, przez miasta, sam dojazd na austostradę to ponad 100km. Respektując ogranizenia prędkości, w tym te na robotach drogowych na autobahnie, trzymając bezpieczne odstępy, nikogo z lewego pasa nie zrzucając.
Dodałem przecież na końcu, że samochodem z większym zbiornikiem paliwa, napewno więcej czasu się zaoszczędzi i jak tylko projekt skończę to sobie to zmierzę w 3.0 dieslu ze zbiornikiem 68l.
Mimo wszystko różnica czasowa nie jest na tyle wielka jak większość ludzi zakłada i na tym odcinku 1500km szybciej niż 2.5 godziny nie obrócisz w porównaniu do tego co pojedzie maks 130km/h. Natomiast zapłacisz za paliwo o wiele więcej.
Ale dobra, skoro już wiesz, że ja nie potrafię szybko jeździć to zapraszam na Spa-Francorchamps czy Zolder. Wynajmiemy jeden samochód, dla każdego po 2h. możemy się zmieniać co 10-15-30 minut, żeby nie było, że warunki się zmieniają. Jak wykręcisz lepszy czas to opłacam Twoją część najmu samochodu oraz koszta dojazdu na tor w obie strony + obiad. Jakby przypadkiem się okazało, iż to ja będę szybszy to Ty pokryjesz moje koszta najmu i dojazdu + obiad.
W końcu mistrz szybkiej jazdy uraczył się odezwać do miernoty mojego poroju, to przecież nic nie ryzykujesz.
