Cleaning a swordfish sharpener pastel pencils

A simple video of cleaning my swordfish sharpener . Sometimes it won’t work , if I take it apart and clean it , it usually sorts it .

Nice sharpener. Love the takedown features. That S shaped wire lock looks like it could go on either way. Helical blade sharpeners are the best.

Hi, i got similar sharpener but it doesn't really sharpens. Do i have to sharpen groves on this thing? I would like to make it work but i dont know how. It's rather well made. Mine is from 1950.

I've got a tiddle bit in the handle which changes the sharpness of the pencil. Now I've cleaned hhis it doesn't work at all. The sharpener doesn't work at all. Any ideas. Please

nice,but in mine the little round metalic piece which is dented came off the plastic base,now it does not stay tightly,I am thinking of glue it with some sort of epoxi

Looked like it broke the lead a second time after reassembly. That's my experience with Swordfish sharpeners on my pastel pencils
