Financial literacy is definitely something that most professional sports players lack, but it’s also something that’s easy to judge sitting from the sidelines. Giving any 22-23 year old, a lot of who come from poor backgrounds, several million dollars and it’s hard for them to resist the temptation to splurge. Braxton has been around the league a few years now and he’s older, he’s seen the fun that being a football player has to offer and he also knows that he’s super fortunate to go from being cut by the Patriots to being in the position he’s in now. Sauce was drafted fourth overall and is still young, so he probably is in the mindset of the money is guaranteed to keep coming, even though we all know every player is only one bad break away. Give him time, he’ll learn.

Don’t believe that for a second he has fake bling. Once you are done with paying taxes, lawyers, agents, etc. he don’t get as much back.
