Проходили ли медосмотры перед важными соревнованиями... Замечали,что Серёжа был бледным и ВСЁ?Смотрю записи их выступлений и плачу всегда,так жаль!!! Они катались на крыльях Любви,своей и зрительской... Легко!Красиво!Нежно!

It’s nice to see what he was like when alive, which is seemingly warm-hearted and kind. 😊❤️
Even if I don’t understand what they were saying, i could tell that they’re so gracious, respectful of each other and of other people as well. The way they look at each other shows the love that they have. Even when they skate together, Sergei gives Katya her moment to shine - and Katya gives all her trust to her Sergei. But the love that they have makes them a real couple.

They were such a beautiful couple on and off the ice. Sergei had a life well lived at such a young age. But it's just so tragic how he was taken so soon. Such a great man who could have offered and shared do much more of his life to his family and the world.
I have no idea what they're saying, but I can watch them together all day. They are a fascinating couple. I hope in another 20 years when I'm watching them on RUclips I'm not crying again.
You will cry every time you see them no matter what.. I cried when he died, I cried 10 years later, I cried today.. The only way for me to not cry is to stop watching their videos which I can't get myself to do.. I always come back..
I sure wish I knew what they were saying!!! ❤️. I can’t even imagine her pain when he was so tragically stolen from this life. He had been with her for so long! Day in day out training and skating and what an emptiness he left! Everyone who knew them or who were fans, we were heartbroken. I remember crying when I heard and thinking there must be some mistake! But he left us these memories and we have his precious Dasha who looks exactly like him! She is so Beautiful. I know that Sergei is watching over both of them and waiting. One day they will all be together again!
Yes. Their love for each other was beautiful to see. They were meant for each other. I remember thinking it had to be a mistake when I found out he had died. I can't even come close to imagining her devastation she felt. Thank God she had Daria or it would have been so much harder. I know she knew their were so many people who cared about her during that time. And it is amazing how much Daria looks like him. Spitting image. She's beautiful.

He was so healthy or at least that’s what I thought, what we all thought. She Does look just like Sergei! I would think that would be hard in the beginning. Seeing so much of his likeness in Daria but I guess it was bittersweet also. We can only remember them now together. So young, so immensely talented and so in love with each other. ❤️😇❤️
Sadly Sergei collapsed and died on the ice while training. More sad was at the hospital Doctors would not let her in the room ? There was nothing they could do for him so why not let her be with him. Would be heartbreaking sitting and waiting to be at Sergei side 😢😢😢 The world was shocked and saddened on this day. He would have been 56yrs 2023 28 years ago and still admired by all. 💙 💙 💘 💋 💋

Я видела как они получили первое место на олимпийских играх в Калгари и Катю называли невестой Калгари. Как ушёл Сергей я узнала поздно, время было такое что газету невозможно было найти. His father died of the same problem in 1990 Sergei died five years later in 1995 then his mother died 5yrs later in 2000. Only his Sister is left How very very sad is that. Terrible burden for Sergei's sister to have to cope with a tripple loss. 😢😢😢 ❤❤❤

I always wonder what they would have done later on in their careers. If they would have continued competing after Lillehammer, and then went straight to Nagano in 1998, or if they would have retired from competition altogether to raise their daughter. There was still so much they had to give, and it hurts that it was cut so short in the prime of their lives. I constantly wonder about what could have been, and what never was.
I think this was in the fall of 1995-they were filming Pocahontas for Disney and she cut her hair very short. She is naming the skaters, I caught that-she says Canada and I think he says “American” and definitely “Kristi” as in Yamaguchi. So I understood one word he said!

Katia mentioned that Sergei could understand English but he wasn't just comfortable speaking in that language. Friends also said that his English was getting better.
Sadly , this would be the year -November 1995- he would die so suddenly. I don’t think there’s anything worse then losing the person you love to a sudden and unprepared death .
@33winterbirds I guess it was taped in the summer of 1995. They said Dasha was almost three years old. So sad. They both said that they would like to have another go for the next Olympics. I'm sure they would win that too but...
I think whenever they were interviewed in English, Katia always spoke for them because her English was better, and he always seemed happy letting her speak for them. Here, when interviewed in Russian, he was more relaxed/confident and therefore spoke much more. Yes....how absolutely lovely to hear his voice!! Even though I didn’t know what they were saying, it was wonderful to actually hear his voice...❤️. My God, what a loss though....😢
Смотрю не первое интервью ребят и вот на, что обратила внимание, Сергей во всех интервью говорит отдохнем, а потом будет видно, неверное, что-то его беспокоило, но он не хотел показать свою слабость и жаловаться! Эх, парень, ни кто бы тебя не осудил, а жена должна была понять, почувствовать, ни в коем случае не хочу обвинять Катю. Она совсем девочка и эти наблюдения, которые мы со стороны видим ей были ни к чему! Оба молоды, полны сил и планов! Но Сергей что-то чувствовал! Очень жалко его! Серёжа не дожил и до 30...А Катюша прожила три жизни уже. Первую с ним,которая закончилась трагично,вторую с Куликом,родила дочку,но....видимо не срослось,и теперь у неё новая жизнь с новым мужем ,тоже чемпионом из Канады. Конечно никто не идёт в сравнение с Серёжей,но....таких как он нет больше в Мире,а она молода,прекрасна и жить нужно!И быть счастливой,но уже по другому.

Младшая дочь Гордеевой,еле по русски говорит. Катя кажеться непростой девушкой,в отличие от Сергея. Катюша прекрасно адаптировалась в капитализме,благодаря своим природным,личным качествам.
Она английский знала намного лучше, чем Сергей. Когда она получила травму от падения, появилось много свободного времени. И она усиленно занималась английским с репетиторами.

Значит так, говорю свое мнение после того как проанализировала десятки их интервью и видеозаписи. Люди, очнитесь, какая здесь любовь со стороны кати? Она его использовала по полной и манипулировала им,чтобы добиться хорошей карьеры и переехать на,запад. Она всегда хотела жить там и иметь все то чего советские граждане были лишены. Она сама прямым текстом об этом говоит в,одном из своих интервью. Но она понимала что без сергея как хорошего партнера мало чего добьётся в парном катании. Он был очень талантлив и сильный технически. Он ее в этом превосходил. И она это понимала. Ей хотелось славы и денег. Плюс папа деспот который все делал из нее чемпионку и житья,дома не давал. Ребенка она не хотела. Какая уж тут любовь? По признаниям некоторых американцев она неуважительно общалась с сережей там. Сережа был оторван от дома, не мог говорить по английски и в,этом зависел от нее. Ему,там было плохо и неуютно. А книжка пустая. Там о сереже 3 слова и так и непонятно знала ли она его как человека или нет.

I understand that Katia was the one who understood English and could speak better, Sergei knew when to let her lead.
Katia mentioned that Sergei could understand English but he wasn't just comfortable speaking in that language. Friends also said that his English was getting better.
Sadly , this would be the year -November 1995- he would die so suddenly.
I don’t think there’s anything worse then losing the person you love to a sudden and unprepared death .

I think whenever they were interviewed in English, Katia always spoke for them because her English was better, and he always seemed happy letting her speak for them. Here, when interviewed in Russian, he was more relaxed/confident and therefore spoke much more. Yes....how absolutely lovely to hear his voice!! Even though I didn’t know what they were saying, it was wonderful to actually hear his voice...❤️. My God, what a loss though....😢

Смотрю не первое интервью ребят и вот на, что обратила внимание, Сергей во всех интервью говорит отдохнем, а потом будет видно, неверное, что-то его беспокоило, но он не хотел показать свою слабость и жаловаться! Эх, парень, ни кто бы тебя не осудил, а жена должна была понять, почувствовать, ни в коем случае не хочу обвинять Катю. Она совсем девочка и эти наблюдения, которые мы со стороны видим ей были ни к чему! Оба молоды, полны сил и планов! Но Сергей что-то чувствовал! Очень жалко его! Серёжа не дожил и до 30...А Катюша прожила три жизни уже. Первую с ним,которая закончилась трагично,вторую с Куликом,родила дочку,но....видимо не срослось,и теперь у неё новая жизнь с новым мужем ,тоже чемпионом из Канады. Конечно никто не идёт в сравнение с Серёжей,но....таких как он нет больше в Мире,а она молода,прекрасна и жить нужно!И быть счастливой,но уже по другому.

Люди, очнитесь, какая здесь любовь со стороны кати? Она его использовала по полной и манипулировала им,чтобы добиться хорошей карьеры и переехать на,запад. Она всегда хотела жить там и иметь все то чего советские граждане были лишены. Она сама прямым текстом об этом говоит в,одном из своих интервью.
Но она понимала что без сергея как хорошего партнера мало чего добьётся в парном катании. Он был очень талантлив и сильный технически. Он ее в этом превосходил. И она это понимала. Ей хотелось славы и денег. Плюс папа деспот который все делал из нее чемпионку и житья,дома не давал. Ребенка она не хотела. Какая уж тут любовь? По признаниям некоторых американцев она неуважительно общалась с сережей там. Сережа был оторван от дома, не мог говорить по английски и в,этом зависел от нее. Ему,там было плохо и неуютно. А книжка пустая. Там о сереже 3 слова и так и непонятно знала ли она его как человека или нет.
