Psycho Clown the roster made GM Mode a chore. 2007s roster was the best for GM Mode, but 2006s was in the middle, its mostly because of the choices of ECW guys. I tend to end up using more legends in 08 & less legends in 07 outside of Eddie.
I don't HATE this game . I actually like it. it was actually one of my favorite games as a kid. But tbh....the game was inferior to SvR07 in every single way except for the extreme rules matches and the graphics. 08 is VERY flawed. 1. You can't play story mode and GM mode at the same time, you could do this in SvR07 but not in 08. It was the biggest problem about 08. What was the purpose for removing this option? What were the developers thinking? 2. Create a move set sucked ass, the new abilities locked off and limited certain moves to a certain play style and that was a HORRIBLE decision when they made this game, it's not deep at all it's just dumb. They also took away wrestling stances in 08. 3. The roster was a lot smaller than the roster in 07, we went from 70 wrestlers in 07 to 50 in 08. The roster was also Weaker in 08. where is Eddie Guerrero? This also caused a problem in GM mode because now you had three brands instead of two but the roster Was smaller so none of the three brands were actually able to get 20 superstars on their rosters because there aren't enough wrestlers in the game! 4. The locker room from 07 was removed, yes it didn't have a lot of purpose in 07 but it was fun to customize your very own room, it was great in my opinion. 5. Recycled features and texts. This is very apparent in GM mode. ALL of the storylines in 08's GM mode were copied from 07. 6. Story mode and GM mode are simply better in 07, i could go into detail why it is that way but im too lazy at the moment. It needs a better roster, 24/7 mode was rushed and broken , no backstage areas at all except the parking lot brawl match . The target lock system sucks because it's automatic and the ladder matches made me want to pull my hair out. And there's more things wrong with this game but overall I still like this game and I don't hate it like most people.

Roster sucked, they removed a lot of stuff for no reason such as Create A PPV, Season Mode was terrible, GM Mode was broken as all hell, they combine the two modes into this 24/7 Mode and you couldn't do both at the same time (you would have to sacrifice all of your work on GM Mode if you wanted to play Season Mode and vice versa). The Struggle Submission system they introduced in this game crippled the Submissions in these games for YEARS because those fucking idiots only made the system work for a few submission moves while all of the other ones were either removed or just treated as regular moves (don't even waste your time creating Kurt Angle unless he's early AE Kurt Angle because the Ankle Lock was useless in this game).

I imagine a lot of time was spent taking him out of the game and putting stuff in his place so maybe that’s why it didn’t turn out as good as the previous game.

I legit played this yesterday and realized the 2k18 career mode story pretty much was a watered down version of the 24/7 mode end storyline pretty much.
Yeah I hated the fighting styles. Limited what you could do in previous games but for specific superstars. Yeah didn't like it. 24/7 sucked and gm was ruined by ecw and the roster. This game has a unique roster but it is too small.

The reason why it wasn'tas good as it could've been is that halfway through the game they had to take Chris Benoit out of the game and all of his voice over's and everything he had to do with the main storyline
This game was fun to me as a kid, but now that I’m older this game is really broken. GM mode is terrible! It lacks so much and the roster was weak, but I had a great time playing this with friends

I still play the WWE THQ games to this very day. They'll never get old to me. I could play these forever. The only 2K ones I liked were 2K14 and 2K19.

Well for some reason every time I ever tried to play this on my ps3 on the season mode or whatever mode my game for some reason would freeze
The gameplay was a bit slow, the season mode had weird moments and the soundtrack sounded depressing
