When you peel the tape, use a heat gun or hairdryer before peeling. The heat melts the adhesive glue on the tape and makes it peel off like magic! I really like your art style and your vids are perfect. Very clear visual, your voice is friendly and inviting and just long enough to catch and keep attention but not drag on and lose it. I really look forward to seeing more videos from you!!
Thank you so much for the feedback. I will definitely warm up my tape next time I'll have to peel something off again, this one hurt my soul. I'm gald you enjoyed the video and found it interesting :)
Cute cover! The swirls & paint blobs are fun and colorful =) Lovely sunset. Clever idea for your name =P The swirly pond is my favorite--so pretty! The chameleon came out great!
I loved the vibe of this video, it was nice and chill with the beautiful music in the background. I liked watching your process and your thought process behind it. Can’t wait to see more!
I just love you guy's narration so much. I'm not a native speaker, and there are other things that will probably never allow me to speak like this. But your narration sounds so calming. Most of the artist's have lovely narration.
The front cover with the animal crossing style sign for the title is such a good idea ! I like your editing and music choices :3. How did it feel painting in this book ? I've stopped myself from buying it for years because I'm scared I'll just get very frustrated with the paper warping or the paint seeping through. Your paintings in this video look gorgeous so clearly it worked out for you, I'm just wondering if you felt like you had to "fight" with your paper while painting.
Thank you so much! To answer your question, it feels okay to paint in the book but only if you dont use a lot of water. As you could see, where I use watercolour it basically seeps into the pages and warps them quite a bit but if you were to use acrylic, even if you dilute it with water a little it works great. I never found that it completely destroyed the paper. Gouache does a good job aswell, just watch your water. Definitely dont hold back on buying the book bc of the paper. It can be tricky but theres definitely solutions to cover up bleed through :)
I hate doing things in order because sometimes I have NO idea of a page and then can't work in the book at all until I finally have one. So now I try doing a page I don't like so much followed by one I really want to do. We'll see how that works out. Acrylic is definitely perfect for these books. Especially when you end up with the inevitable bleedthrough.
Haha no I'm not offended, just not religious at all - despite my frequent usage of the phrase 'omg'. I think my mum just named me Ruth because she liked the name :)
I love the colors of blue houses and sunset painting, it reminds me the sunsets from my childhood

Oh yeah that sounds like a good idea to tackle the book that way! My strategy just involves a lot of random brainstorming ahead of time haha
The top pink splotch on tips and tricks looks like the pokemon ditto 😂
@@terahmichelle416 haha I never noticed that!
I hope this doesn’t offend but was you named from Ruth in the Bible ? Also I love you art very pretty ❤😊
