Had the 'Faithful' album on vinyl way back then, wore it thin, it was never off the turntable. Saw and met Todd post-gig at Manchester Academy in '94 when he was on the 'Interactive Evening with Todd Rundgren' tour, playing solo in a specially designed and constructed pod, encircled by keyboards and guitars. Myself and 3 mates drove 9 hours down from Scotland for the gig, then drove straight back up after we'd met him outdoors/backstage. He was a gentleman, patiently answering many curious questions, signing autographs etc. Still regularly listen to Rundgren & Utopia stuff, which is on all 4 of my MP3 players, most recent fixation has been 'Afterlife' from his brilliant Liars album. Way too much to say and discuss about Todd, almost impossible to nail his music and subtle influence. From a lifetime, and unashamed Todd freak. 🎧

This takes me back to my college years with ny sweetheart, Forever in my heart and tender memories.
Afterlife is a pretty well known tune in Brazil after a famous radio program took it as its intro theme or something.
I bought this LP in 1976. Unlike previous Todd LPs, it did not have a lyric sheet. Here sit I, 45 years later, seeing the lyric for the first time! I always thought it was "make the night unwind." LOL! Thanks!

@@MsBlueRajah I thought it was night unwind too, but knot unwind makes more sense. The song is about the uncertainty in each about the other, i.e. the "knot".

Been listening to this cat since I was 13, from Runt through Utopia. I was hooked on moogs and arps at an early age. Todd took me to never land when I was so young and everything was new. Just rediscovering him for the past few days. I’ve listened to this same old Cliche song a dozen times today. I never do that! Thanks Todd. You’re helping me through it all bro.

i gotta add my 'I've loved all Todd Rundgren music' somewhere, so here it is. Very human at its essences.
And let's not forget his marvelous early work with Nazz. Todd is Upper Darby PA's finest.
