The only people who've played this game are the ones who found it when they were kids, quit, then picked it up years later and were like OMG WTF HOW HAVE I NOT PLAYED THIS SOONER?
When I was 7, I got this game as a birthday present from my aunt. She probably picked it out at random, but it became my favorite game for a long, long time. Even as a young kid I LOVED the themes in this game. The music was incredible, the characters so well-written that they seemed real, all of the secrets and little nonsense items to find (will I ever find a use for this wig?), the enemy designs, the towns... Oh, and I had a crush on Roslyn. I still remember the gear city, and Triste, and the town where "forgotten" people go to and the desert that lies just beyond the broken wall. I remember the library, and the islands of pospos, and trying to solve all of the little riddles in each town. For a long time I used Ari as my online name because I've never felt more in-tune with a protagonist. I treasured my guide for the game and would carry it with me every day in 3rd grade, just reading snippets and looking at the pictures. It was covered in a lot of tape to protect the rips and tears. What I'm trying to say is this game has seriously resonated with me on an emotional level throughout my childhood, and it will always have a special place in my heart. Although it's sad that it never got a sequel, I'll always consider it the best game that never got one.
I have a similar story. I was at the swap meet with my family and pestered my mom for a game (although most games at the swap meet were regular price anyway), and out of all of the games I ended up getting this one. I'm not sure if I chose it or my mother did, or why exactly, but since then it always holds a special part in my childhood.
Still can't think of the lyrics. After so many years... From what I understand "I Just played Okage, I want more Okage, I just played Okage!" And thats about it.
Can't promise these are legit, but this is what I found: Haio say you love de Oto no no high breath (x2) Haio say you love de Yan twillia Conto yo no high breath You twillia (x2) Haio say you love de (x4) [Repeat all]
I know! I remember when I first finished the game, and I felt really sad....Then really hyper and excited XD I was like "Ah....Huh? Wait....Credits? It's over!? Aww..............THAT WAS SO FREAKING AMAZING!!!!!" Then going around and calling my best friend and yelling to her about how I completed the game and how awesome it was.
i borrowed a lot of games from a friend, started to play but didnt really like them, then tried again in 2-4 years. I will never forget they were the best games i ever played. (okage, psychonauts, radiata stories, disgaea...)
I finally after getting the game ages ago and losing have finally beaten it. This and a few other titles have been my white whale of games, the ones that I was close to beating but got away. I'm glad I finally have gotten a chance to beat this game it and I'd say it was worth it to play this charming game.
When I was really young I got a demo disc that had a bunch of demos and previews on it, it had the demo for Ico and the preview for Okage Shadow king....If I hadn't had gotten that demo disc, I would of never found out about these two amazing games....At least Ico got a rerelease...But......Okage Shadow king seems to be....unknown, I guess you could say?
大好きなゲームの1つなので、ぜひリメイク版と続編が出て欲しいです。
それから、このゲームが好きな同志がたくさんいると知ることができてとても嬉しいです。

@supermariofan39 it's not released on PSP in the USA yet, either :l
It's to bad the company Zener Works went defunct, which means that a sequel is all but impossible now.
The game has yet to be realesed in europe on psp so just tell them.
@Baskinrobems that's EXACTLY what I did.
True, so true. lol.
